All but rolls off the tongue. raspily rolls that is.
Ah, inestimably rich aliteration at its finest, sir Jester!
The rancorous rant rolls raspily from Rone's round, ruby red rimmed... er, mouth word that starts with an R?
I have no excuse to explain my wearing of glittery red lipstick in this sentence.

It would have been grand, we had Well Aren't We All Just Such Great Friends?, a pilgrims versus native americans RPG scheduled, but the game designer choked on an extremely dry falafel and is in surgery. The game takes place around that first feast in 1621 but brings in a Machievellian Houses of the Blooded type court intrigue. Poisoned turkey, backstabbing with corn cobs... alliances made in secret by burying rolled parchment notes in stuffing and cranberry sauce. this game has it all.
Expansion sets deal with the Spanish Thanksgiving and the Canadian Thanksgiving, both said to predate 1621.
Wow... That sounds fun. Sorry to hear this was squashed.
(Sigh.)
Yeah, I'm only a month and a half late. I know, I know...

F. Douglas Wall created a fantastic game set in the land of Dorothy and the Emerald City, the Gnome King and the Scarecrow. In Adventures in Oz, each player controls a character participating in stories set in Oz. We asked Mr. Wall to walk us down the Yellow Brick Road - to take us on a journey through this magical dreamscape made roleplaying game.

Now if that isn't an ideal segue assist, I don't know what is...
In episode 60 of Atomic Array, we #occupypodcast and don’t leave until the police decide to shoo us after about an hour and a half. But for ninety minutes we really made a statement about Lamentations of the Flame Princess with author James Edward Raggi IV. If Osric or Labyrinth Lord intrigues you, but you have yet to take the OSR plunge, James beckons you to follow him into his provocative game that puts the R-rating in RPG, and its new face... the Grindhouse Edition.

As far as I know (not even sure it's actually Finnish, could be a Finland-Swedish term instead), nothing really. In my experience it's usually used as a kind of "ow, that really bloody hurts" for spiritual bruises.
(Oh, and the j is soft, like the y in yes.)
Thanks for the lesson. :)

Fantastic interview, Mr. Jade! I was on the fence, but James sold me a copy. :)
Your rant reminds me of all the times we went out to eat with our children, and people would actually stop by to compliment us on how well-behaved our children were. My wife and I were flattered, yet confused, until one time we saw the "running through the restaurant, screaming, and throwing things" action, complete with oblivious parents.

Why thank you, sir!
That point about kids in restaurants was made right after my rant's conclusion by Ed, himself a father of two. I was actually a quiet kid. Hard to believe, right? When I was three and four out at restaurants my big thing was to go down under the table while people ate and pretend it was my fort. Anyone else ever do that?

Now if the children were eaten, the problem would cease.
But I wouldn't know of such things; I'm a vegetarian.
See I wasn't sure if you were me or not until you used that semicolon. Although your usage was accurate, what you could not have known was that I was roughed up by a gang of greatly feared punctuation when I was eight, and a brutish semicolon led them. The resulting scuffle left a shard of ¶ planted deep in my eye to this very day. Surgeons advised best to leave it. That's how I got my name The Pilcrow Peeper.

Is that the origin of the Voynich Manuscript?

So you only eat baby vegepygmies? Are they better raw, maybe in a salad with a nice raspberry port vinaigrette? Or perhaps wok-fried with some brown rice and stinky tofu? Or do you bottle and bury them to make vegepygmie kimchi?

So that's why there was no Brandon in this week's episode of Writing Excuses. ;)
After experiencing the bliss of being on our show, Brandon felt his life was complete and that he didn't need to write anymore. By the time I found out about this, he'd already taken a week off. I implored him to keep writing... if not for him than for his fans. He asked why Atomic Array interviews couldn't go on forever. I sighed and put a hand on his shoulder, saying, "Brandon... the only way to get past this bittersweet feeling is to pretend your time on our show was just a wonderful dream. He agreed to try. Let's hope it takes.
