Just to tease you guys a little more, we have a new employee coming onboard in a few weeks. A press release should be out in a week or so, but I am going to give you a hint. This employee worked with me at WotC. It kind of feels like I'm putting the band back together...the band.

Hmmm. What can we piece together from what we know from Lisa's Profile?

Someone from her TSR days? Hmmm. She said WotC, but maybe she's lumping that all together into one experience.

Her last job seemed to be with Star Wars d20, but she was also doing Greyhawk and RPGA.

I wonder if the new person left WotC a while ago, or perhaps is still there for a few more days or weeks....

Come on! Join in the speculative fun!

My first thought was that Monte Cooke was joining in a more permanent role than rules consultant for Pathfinder.

But that might just be because I was flipping through the book of eldritch might

Well, Sean K Reynolds should be avaiable...

George Lucas!

Just kidding...

...or AM I?

DUN-DUN-DUUHHHHH!

Oooh! Paizo definately needs a San Diego Padres fan on staff!

I love Sean's articles on the D&D pantheon, and it was always fun to see pics of his minis. Plus, he's another Greyhawk dude.

I clicked over to JD Wiker's Live Journal Blog from Sean's website. JD did work on Star Wars... but he still has the Game Mechanics to run, though they haven't been very active lately.

I love the Game Mechanics stuff, and it'd be cool to have any of them of the staff.

well sean's livejournal june 10th entry does have

Yes, I've been strangely silent now that the books are out.
To be completely honest, I'm a bit busy. My sister is getting married next week, to one of my best friends. I'm finishing a book for Paizo. I'm getting ready to move out of state. And start a new job there.

I am going to look at the 4e core books. I'm going to give them a good read before I post any sort of analysis. I will, just not until mid-July at the earliest. :)

Sean's math-fu is strong! And he likes Barenaked Ladies, so it's all good.

When he was at WOTC, and his web site was frantically busy, he always had time for my rule questions. I think he would be awesome.

Now, once you get him back, how about Chris Thomasson/Youngs?

Dark Archive

Here's my question: Is Sean allowed to post "c++#!#$~+" on the Paizo boards. An official answer would be great, but I'd settle for an example post from Sean.

Given Erik's recent admonitions to Logue, I think that should be our litmus test.

Carry over my guess from the original thread (first post, too), I'm putting my gold piece on Veggieboy (Sean Reynolds).

Sean's blog does mention that he is moving for a new job...

But seriously, it's me, in my new customer service position. I think Lisa misremembered that part about me working with her at WotC.

Who doesn't?

Oh. You mean the band.

Actually, they're awesome too.

If it is in fact Sean, I'd be very happy. I wonder if this would impact the amount of information we get on the gods of Golarion. That seems to be his forte, but perhaps they have other plans for him.

Bloooorrrrrph

I would like something from Carl Sargent.
It's been a long time since he published anything.
I guess he's retired?

IIRC, he had an accident which meant he couldn't work anymore. There is a post about this somewhere else on these boards.

I'd have to say you folks are probably right on the Sean Reynolds guess... he's a great author.

Whoever it is, let me say: I'm jealous.

Sean K Reynolds is a good guess. After all, the Gods and Magic book is supposed to be coming out, and who better to write it? :P

Used to work with at WotC eh? Maybe Dancey? :P

It just seemed like the thing to do.

In all seriousness, I guess I'm not really up to snuff on who Lisa used to work with over at WotC. Reynolds would be a kick-ass hire, in my opinion, but I'm sure there are plenty of top people from Wizrads that Paizo would love to get a hold of.

Either way, I look forward to the revelation.

Why yes, of course I can speak. In fact, I have been told on previous occasions that I am both well spoken, and possessed of a modicum of talent with regards to literary endeavors.

Of course, that could just be you regurgitating some praise that you read somewhere...

Dancey is gainfully employed in the land of the ice and snow, so I deem this unlikely. Though he says he'll be in the land of peaches come summer.

Been heartbreakingly etched on my soul since I first read the book in high school. ;-)

Grand Lodge

Well it may be wishful hoping on my part but, though Reynolds would be great, my first choice is definitely Chris Youngs.

He was Paizo's first EiC of Dungeon and I'd love to see him come back to The Good Side of the Force.

And let's see, after Youngs my choices are Perkins (that'll never happen), Cordell (distant "maybe") and then Mearls or Reynolds. Of course, niether Cordell nor Mearls worked for Paizo, so...

Ah.... but can he sing Putting on the Ritz?

Scarab Sages

Let's get SKR over here! If it isn't him, we should get him too!

Now, if Paizo could somehow hire James Jacobs I would be in heaven?

What's that you say?

I knew it, I AM dead!

I wonder if Skip and Penny Williams count as one employee? :)

I'd say so. Hell, they're credited together more often than not, so we might as well think of them as one - Skenny Williams maybe?

Not to mention that it has a certain ring to it - almost like some old-school country musician.

Hmm, it was mentioned in the Gods and Magic discussion that SKR IS writing it.

Scarab Sages

They should hire Mike McArtor.

He's pretty cool.

I too would like it to be Sean, it is too bad that he ahs to replace Mike though, Mike was the dragon editor I worked with the most, and I always had really good experiences with him.

Yeah.. hire Mike McArtor.
