I have an existing campaign in Eberron that I am considering flipping to PRPG. I have already been moving toward converting the system, here are a few observations. There isn't much that needs done.
- 3 races (I would leave out the Psi-guys until we see PRPG Psionics) Fiddle with the Ability Adjustments a bit to bring them in line with Alpha3 races and they are pretty much set. Always thought they were a little overpowered compared to the "common races" anyway.
- 1 Class to convert. It may take some thought. Some reasonable reduction in Item Creation cost is in order to offset the fact that XPs are no longer the currency of Item Creation.
- Action Points, use em or lose em, I don't think it would impact Pathfinder any more than it did the 3.5 rules.
- Not much in the way of skills to worry about
- Most of the new feats are specialized for the new races and class so not much drifting required. A couple of the combat feats may need reworked or purged altogether. No great loss.
- The Marks? Since they are Feats and Prestige Classes not much to worry about.
- The magic system lines up OK and the PRPG classes and races fit fine.
- Convert the Pantheon, realign the domains and add some favored weapons if you like. Not a lot of work here.
A few words of caution, I am not sure how much further this discussion can go before we start treading too heavily on WotC'$ IP and the Paizo folks ask you to stop. It has to be a touchy legal subject, especially since some of the Eberron stuff was written by at least one Pathfinder Author [cough]Jason Bulmahn[/cough] and there are sure to be opinions there they can't express. Perhaps a moderator could pipe in with a little guidance?
Would love to hear how it turns out.

We had a thread like this not to long ago. I run a pbp eberron game on here
This is that race changes I made.
changling : add a +2 to one stat
Kalashtar: add a +2 to one mental stat
Shifter:change to +2 dex +2 wis -2 cha
War forged: +2 con +2 int -2 cha
The warforged no one can agree on.
The artificer just change the essence ability to times 5 the number and allow then to deduct that from the GP cost of items.
Other then that and changing some domains its not hard.
The one domain i did is here as well
Deathless domain
1st-Detect undead: as spell at will standard action.
2nd-Gentle repose:1/Day per every 2 caster levels
4th-Consecrate:1/Day
8th-spirit of the steed:This ability allows you the channel the spirit of an ancient elf into your mount, which must be a living animal. It grants a +30 to movement ,the run feat[if it already has the feat it moves 6 times faster with no armor] and the ability to hustle for the whole time without penalty. This ability is usable 1/hour per level per day.
12th-Hallow 1/day
16th-Create deathless 1/day
20th-Hero's blade 1/day
All other spells from this domain are now elf only cleric spells.
Hope some of this helps.

I would figure we could discuss it all we care to, as with any sort of fan conversion, it's just the posting of actual Eberron material would be a no-no. Basically, only detail the changes and not what's staying the same.
At least, I think. IANAL, YMMV.

I am thinking of using Pathfinder to run an Eberron campaign. Has anyone tried this already, and if so how well did it work out.
I'm working on this now as well. I think Mindgamez has the right idea. I'm really not tweaking too much other than the PCs themselves, and some of the NPCs.
Please post how your game/playtest works out.

I'm actually looking to play in or DM an Eberron campaign online with 3.P, if anyone's interested.
I'm very tempted, but I don't think I could commit the time at the moment. I've never played in a pbp game, but it sounds fun. In case you didn't notice there is a section on the boards "Gamer Connection" where you could try to get a game together.

IIRC the Paizoans stated in a thread about converting PHB 2, that we as non-employees of Paizo can essentially post anything we want. That is not a challenge to WOTC or their copywrites. However, if a Paizo employee were to post something, or someone were to try and sell their conversion stuff, that would be off-limits.

Just a thought: Karrnath uses undead in battle. Would the new channel energy class feature make this a more effective battlefield tactic? If so, would that change the realpolitik of the 5 nations?
While I'm not an expert on Eberron, I wouldn't think that the new channel energy would change much in Eberron's political landscape. The number of priests with this ability would be rather small. If I remember correctly, the average priest in Eberron does not have access to the powers of the cleric class. Even then, the power would be balanced by the negative energy channeled by Karrnathi forces.
On a similar note, we did play test this once with our group and it was a fun dynamic. I wish I could get my regular group together more often as our next game will be in Eberron. We'll be using the Alpha 3 rules and they are trying to destroy a Karnnathi undead research facility.

You may want to check out Maptools as well. It's got some pretty awesome graphical capabilities...importing your maps, images for player and monster tokens, line of sight/fog of war, and more.
Coupled with voice chat, like Skype or Ventrilo, and it is almost like sitting around the table for real.

Given that Pathfinder lacks its own iconic setting (so far at least, heres hoping for Absalom), I'd have to think that using Pathfinder for Eberron / Forgotten Realms / whatever else, is going to be a popular choice for folks that don't like 4E, don't want to bother with conversion, or just plain want to use all the books they already bought.

You might want to check out Paradigm's Psionics Unbound the replacement for the now defunct EPH.

Wouldn't you actually be referring to Golarion?
By Iconic, I actually mean long-established. I grew up on Greyhawk, people a few years behind me grew up on the Forgotten Realms, it takes a while to earn that kind of gravitas. I just expect that many folks will continue to use the Realms, or Greyhawk, or whatever they are used to.
None of this has anything to do with the quality of the Golarion setting, just observing that this will be commonplace.

True, my DM is talking about converting our FR campaign when Beta comes out. I'm hoping I can convince him to start a whole new campaign however.
