Literally: Which passages of text from the 3.5 core rulebooks (or any other books), at the basic minimum, when combined with the Pathfinder RPG, give you everything you need to play?
Another way of putting it: What specific elements are missing from the Pathfinder RPG book that would make it a complete system?
Sorry to be lazy and ask for help in figuring this out, but I think a canonical list would be very helpful to people.
And if the passages of text have errata that you know of, please mention it and where to find the errata. Maybe we can come up with the rulebook Paizo would be allowed to publish in a perfect world. :)

Not trying to be snarky or anything, but are You aware that the Alpha rules that have been posted contain ONLY what has been changed from the OGL SRD?
The Beta rules (due in August) are supposedly going to contain comprehensive rules and everything that is currently "missing" from the Alpha.
If You are already aware of this then I'll admit that I don't quite understand what Your aim is.

I get the distinct impression that Mr. Bartlett is unaware that Paizo plans on actually releasing a full-fledged rulebook for the Pathfinder RPG, taking advantage, in part, of the Open Gaming License for 3.5.
The Alpha releases we have seen so far have served simply to showcase rules changes and ideas that Pathfinder is wanting to explore, but the Beta that will be coming out in the not too distant future will me a more-or-less complete rule book, which will then be subjected to open play testing just like the Alpha, leading up to the official, hard-backed, full rules set of the Pathfinder RPG in August of 2009. So don't worry yourself about trying to come up with the rulebook. Just worry about helping to shape the rulebook by catching errors, balance issues, and other foibles during the Alpha and Beta releases.

Chad, I suggest you read the Alpha Rulebook and the SRD from the link I gave you. For example: Switft Actions are in the SRD.
Character generation rules are included in Alpha 3 including a variant point buy method and rolling stats.
Maybe there is something missing between the two... if so I'm not sure what it is. By August it will all be in the PRPG Beta.
What I'm not so sure about is whether they plan on publishing a new MM and DMG. Right now the Alpha contains much content from the DMG but there is a bunch missing.

The Beta will contain stuff for players and DMs. So, it will be a combination of the PHB and DMG. The Beta will have about 400 pages, so it's clear that there'll be things missing. Besides the obvious planes from the DMG, I don't know which parts will be cut. After the final PFRPG has been released in august 2009, they'll release a MM. This has been confirmed several times in the chat and on the boards.

The book will be a combination PHB/DMG. It's almost certain that there will also be a monster book to replace the Monster Manual
Chad Bartlett wrote:alpha 3 has such rules.Well, for example, the SRD doesn't include rules for character creation or advancement. That was intentional on WotC's part. Paizo isn't allowed to include that information in the Pathfinder RPG.
Yeah, the rules aren't quite as restricvtive as that: It's true that the SRD doesn't contain the rules for character creation and advancement, but such rules aren't completely forbidden:
d20 licensed material cannot have character creation/advancement rules in it, at least as far as I know.
OGL can, but it may not be the same tables and stuff you can find in the 3.5e core rules. That's why Pathfinder has slightly different methods for ability generation as well as different tables for XP, character wealth, when you gain a level, and so on.
The Pathfinder RPG will completely replace 3.5e PHB and DMG.

This makes me feel much better about the $50 price tag on the final version. Personally one book for the rules and one for monsters makes more sense to me. Half the time I don't know which book to look for stuff in.

That drives me crazy myself. If I had back all the time I've wasted searching through the DMG for a rule in the PHB, I could take nice long weekend of vacation.
