The message board FAQ, located here, says:
How do I report an offensive or inappropriate post?
Send an email to webmaster@paizo.com.

How about adding an ignore feature? There are a couple of posters who I just really don't want to read comments from. Sure I can not read their posts, but it would be more convenient to just have their posts suppresed based on an ignore list.
This.
My ignore list on ENWORLD was HUGE, but I was very thankful for the feature.

There will be no ignore button. That's essentially inviting people to participate in discussions while encouraging them to only listen part of the time. Conversations in forums that do allow "ignore" buttons often become redundant and confusing, because not everyone is working with the same data.
Here is the original thread, Vic's Post is near the bottom of page two.

That's a little dissapointing. While I can understand the sentiment I do disagree with it. If a poster wants to fling poo around a thread, I'd rather not read it. If this means that all the posters won't be able to comment on an equal level about the consistency and coloration of the aforementioned poo, I'm fine with that.
If there is not going to be an ignore feature, how about a link in the post to "report post" to a moderator?

The way it is now, you have to think about reporting before reporting. Sometimes this can suffice to take the steam out of an overheated discussion. A report button would probably flood the moderator with mails.

As a counterpoint, it also leads to what I'm done with several threads now, I just don't bother going back to it again, which can stifle the conversation as well.
It's a fair enough point though, I can understand the Paizo POV on the issue, but in my experience I find myself visiting certain forums* less and less because it usually seems to be the same unpleasent experience over and over again. In my opinion there are some posters that just say the same thing over and over again, getting more vitrolic each time they post and that seems far more disruptive to the continuity and discussion of a thread than an ignore option would be.
I'm just throwing it out there for consideration though. It's not like I'll make a thread announcing I'm leaving if it doesn't happen :).
*These forums would be the 4E forum and most of the pathfinder playtest forums.

I understand that Cosmo has a form complaint for comments that I make. It's got my name at the top and a check the box for whatever I did (e.g., implied you were stupid, made fun of your argument, insulted your sexual prowess, made a your mom joke, threatened to have you deported back to your home planet of Moronia, etc.)

Check, check, check, check, and check.
But don't forget:
This is, after all, the complaint I get most often.

Given that the conversations being stifled are the ones that have gone to flame and trolling (shouldn't trolls be afraid of flame?), that's probably a good thing.
Leaving means Not Feeding The Trolls, which is the correct thing to do.

How does one go about reporting another user who is being insulting and trying to provoke a fight? Sebastian's comments to me in the "Gut Reactions to 4E" thread are quite aggravating and insulting.
There are many other provocative but lovable posters here as well, and getting over them, it seems to me, is part of becoming a full fledged Paizonian.

Now now, CF, I don't see you as obnoxious. I see you as hilairously insightful. Your posts make me laugh ... not get offended
Keep it up.
