Combat Sorcerers?

I haven't gone through all the bloodlines yet, but, is it just me or do the bloodlines seem to promote up-front fighter/sorcerers? A good majority of the bloodlines grant natural attacks or touch attack special abilities. The bonus feats that can be chosen include things like improved disarm, improved grapple, improved unarmed strike, cleave, improved bull rush, improved sunder, power attack, and so on (and those are just from the first two bloodlines). It feels like we are trying to create powerful fighters rather than sorcerers. If I'm a sorcerer, I typically blast things from the back. Why in the world would I want to take improved sunder as a sorcerer?

I feel that the bloodlines should promote the magical nature of the bloodline rather than the physical one for a sorcerer.

I agree that unless you're after pure flavor, or plan on multiclassing, pretty much everyone will take the Arcane bloodline. Yes, the dragon one with the claws and breath weapon might be good for a "gish" (fighter/sorcerer/eldritch knight, maybe), and the fey bramblefists would be great for a monk/sorcerer, but really there aren't too many bloodlines for a straight spellcasting sorcerer (Destiny is cool, but it would quickly lose its meaning if lots of people took it -- especially if those characters died off quickly!).

I wouldn't change the existing ones, though; I'd just add maybe one or two more.

The bit about the Destiny ones dying a lot was pretty good.

I did wonder about that though. If anything the natural attacks could be used as a last ditch effort. Although if you wanted to you could make a fighter mage using some of the suggestions from the splatbooks.

I'd like to see two paths: One promoting the arcane spellcasting aspects (D6, Poor BAB and not mixing it up in melee except as a last resort with a simple weapon). A Battle Sorcerer variant gish who mixes it up in melee with D8 or D10, light armor proficiency without ASF in light armor, average BAB and the same or a little less spellcasting.
