Pathfinder games are up for Gen Con finally!

I'm looking to get a Pathfinder fix at GenCon so I've plotted out how to get into as many pathfinder games throught the four days.

Dumb Question, I assume that even though it says 3.5 rules on the spread sheet I assume that the games will be Pathfinder Beta rules?

Will the characters be Pregen or would we be creating characters for further Pathfinder Society play?

Any chance anything will be happening for superscribers? I plan on getting my back stock of some of the mods I have missed so far at the con along with my Pathfinder softcover.

Looking forward to this years GenCon. I had a great time playing in the Seven Swords of Sin dungeon and playing Kill Doctor Lucky. Very instersed to see what else you have up your sleeves.

I can't answer the rest of these, but I do know that everything Paizo is running officially will, in fact, be 3.5, not Pathfinder.

That said, if you can't find a Pathfinder game in the opem gaming rooms, my bet is that you're just not looking very hard...

I also would like to know more about this. Would be good to know rules for character creation (whats allowed and whats not, point buy? how many points? etc). As well as special events or such.

Also, I'm all for running or playing in a Pathfinder RPG game if i can find interested parties.

I'd be keen to also know if Gen Con UK is getting any Pathfinder games.

You might check out this thread . There will be a seminar about PFRPG. All events will be run in 3.5.

Well that makes sense, but I was really hoping to see a game run with the rules besides my my group to make sure I was fully understanding the rules. Oh well. I'm still really looking forward to the Rathfinder Games.

Anyone else going to be playing pathfinder at Gencon?

yeah I signed up for events #1, #3 and #4. I've played Living Greyhawk a lot and I'm looking forward to the Pathfinder games. Its like a "living" campaign. You'll make your PC and take it to the various games. Only the official Pathfinder modules count for the PC.

Just wondering why the beta-rules are not used for the launch of the Pathfinder Society? You would get a bunch of new playtesters, and I suppose, all PCs will be converted in 2009 nevertheless, or?

Because, the beta will be coming out in august.. and depending on how it is written, it might still require the SRD. If thats the case, then 1)it is simpler for everyone involved to carry PHB and 2) you don't need to buy the beta to play

You won't need to buy the beta at all; the PDF will be free. You'll just need to pay if you want a printed copy.
