Has Paizo given us a sense of what's to come with its new release? I really like the notion of condensing skills and think, if anything, that Paizo could have been more thorough. As for training or points, I remain indifferent. I respect why people would like to stay with points, but I also suspect that with a condensed skill set, Paizo's model of trained v. non-trained makes the most sense and ease in adjusting other classes and characters from 3.5.

The condensed skills will probably stay, as even the people who are against the alpha skill system like the condensed skills. Some even don't mind the idea of gaining bonus skills (points) as you level, the sticking point is the auto-maxing of the skills.
I should know, because I don't like the alpha system because of the auto-max. The condensed skill list is great and the idea behind the bonus skills (points) is good, though they give too many of the them.(4+int is what I would advise.) The problem that most anti-alpha system people have is the auto-maxing. Take away the auto-maxing and I will be happy.
I do not even mind the alpha system as a sidebar, saying you can auto-max skills. I just want the ability to mess with my skills if I want.
