So sorry, will be delayed.
I did decide to join my wife in 'panic mode' and skip town ahead of the hurricane, racing it all the way up the center of the country.
Which was fine, as as far as I know, while there was some flooding and damage in my town, i think my house is fine. (Wont know until I get back and check myself)
Unfortunately, while in Oklahoma, my son ended himself up in the hospital.
(Turns out doing 100 squats after no exercise for a prolonged period can be really bad. REALLY. BAD. Who knew?)
So, I'll be camping with him here in hospital-land (NOT in my current state of residence) for at least a night or two.
So,... yeah. I'll jump back in when I can. So sorry.
(MAybe I'll have plenty of time while he's day-napping?) ;P
FYI- He did the squats because he was hanging out with his friends in an virtual online game room (VR Chat) with his new VR headset, and ended up challenging himself to do 100 squats.
Which he did, which hurt him so much that he now has WAY too much damaged-muscle-proteins in his blood, which is bad.
Sorry to hear that Rags. Is it Rhabdomyelitis? That was a real common affliction in Basic training. Kids would show up and the first couple of days of intense exercise and stress would trigger it.

Turns out it is not unusual. Just normally happens to sporty-type people who go back to workouts after summer breaks. NOT to nerdy-type video-gamers with VR headsets!

I think Guy is referring to the Negative Plane that the 'Citadel of DOOM' is floating in. We did move on that plane by thinking about it. But that Plane was trying to drain our life-force every second. (I'm glad We kept our neg protection ioun stones!)

Yeah, the Astral is a different beast. The best description I heard compared it to the backstage of a theatre. It’s where the multiverse keeps the props and bits that it’s not using. It’s also where a lot of the machinery that keeps the ‘production’ going is hidden from view.
On the Astral, you don’t age, eat, drink, or basically anything. You are in stasis. However, this will ‘snap back’ when you return to the regular multiverse. You will age immediately as much time as you spent in the Astral. Which is why most Githyanki don’t travel after they reach their prime. Also why there are usually taverns right next to well-known Astral portals. You usually exit famished.

I did actually get to see it once, on the Army’s dime. They sent me out there to talk to high school kids about the Army. They gave me a week out there on my own recognizance, which was pretty cool.
