LOL,
I think 'Crazy' has been a way of life for most us lately.
Seems like at any rate. :P

Gotta get my brain back in 'snarky wizard' mode! ;P

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

Yup. Crazy is my life now, but it's finally beginning to settle down a bit.

knocks on wood

Once I get WiFi my posting should be better.

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

Out of curiosity, I never got to ask because of the craziness these past few months: Did anyone catch the Easter Egg with the Arcanavore blob fight?

Maybe???
Honestly, I'm not sure I recall what I had for dinner last night. :P

<Cleans coke off of keyboarad. Again.>

OMG I luv Karrin SO much sometimes! :)

Honestly, I was thinking along those lines, then started responding while at work, and got sidetracked, and completely miffed that line.

No! Really! I was gonna do the bit! Honest! ;P

I'm looking forward to being rehooked into my actual computer. I'm going to try and get back to map posting and such. Now that I have my evenings free

Ok. Yeah, I totally stepped into that one. With both feet. :P

Clean COKE ZERO off of the keyboard.

(As I keep telling the cops manning the sobriety checkpoints, I'm strictly over the counter meds. I can't AFFORD the good stuff!) ;)

Hope you enjoy your new service Pat! let us know how it works out, (I have a vested interest in comparing services lately) ;)

At this point I'll be happy to have a keyboard and access to all my digital materials

Blayze Female Aasimar Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 2/ Paladin (Holy Gun/Divine Hunter) 9

So trying to figure out if I missed/forgot something at some point that explains why Blayze is level 8

Huh, yeah I wanna say you pulled a Ragadolf and missed an update? :)

Make yourself 10. Everyone should be 10 at this point.

Levl 8 Paladin

Aura of Care: At 8th level, a divine hunter and her allies gain a preternatural awareness of each other’s position in battle. She and any allies within 10 feet of her no longer provide cover against each other’s ranged attacks unless they wish to. Allies who cannot move or otherwise take actions still provide cover, as do flat-footed allies. The divine hunter and her allies must be able to see or hear each other to use this ability.

This ability replaces aura of resolve.

Nigel Tufnel: Clever.
David St. Hubbins: Yeah, and clever.

Also, I apologize if it seems like I'm not around in the game thread-- I am, it's just the inherent downside of playing a character who isn't inclined to say much.

Is all good.
It helps balance with those of us who tend to say TOO much.
Whether we should or not.

(Art imitates life, so I'm told) ;P

(Yes, the wizard talks to much in RL too. In case that was too subtle.) ;P

And, even if you don't say much, you might do things. :)

I wanted to check hp generating scheme again. I see sone that appear to be missing hp, others look to have max. I admit I'm confused.

I just rolled a physical d10 for every level (including first level), and got somewhat above-average results (~6-8 hp per roll). And then there's that nice Charisma bonus to hp that undead get due to their lack of a Constitution score...

Sovereign Court

Female Human Level 4 Bard

No worries, I'm just not sure what the accepted hp generation method is, an suspect I chose poorly. ;)

Blayze Female Aasimar Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 2/ Paladin (Holy Gun/Divine Hunter) 9

I rolled except for level 1 where I took max

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

I have to admit I am confused myself. This game is so old and I’ve ran so many that I can’t remember what we started with. I think it was max First and then roll, but it MIGHT have been Mac every level. I’ll have to go do some digging if no one can remember

Shadow's Status

I'll post I/C soon, RL been kicking my ass lately.

Sovereign Court

Female Human Level 4 Bard

Oh, goodness, hp dice hate me. Whenever I've had to roll, I get below average!

Sorry, guys, I'm gonna suck as a tank!

::gulp!::

::closes eyes and winces::

9d10 + 40 ⇒ (5, 7, 10, 10, 5, 1, 6, 4, 5) + 40 = 93

well, as the average is 40 + 5.5 x 9 = 89.5, that went surprisingly well.

Ok a bit of archaeology dug this up:

Patrick Curtin wrote:
Since we are doing Pathfinder, I am taking the Fast method of EXP (posting goes so slowly this way you folks have a chance to advance). HP are max 1st level, roll natural (and post IC scores) after. I have the Spell Compendium & the Magic Item Compendium, so go wild. If anyone has a bit of flavor/favorite thing/etc. they want to bring in, I don't have an issue. Spells from WotC sources aren't a problem, just tell me where you got them and I will check

So max 1st then Natural roll

No, after that you let us have max HP, I can't remember when but Karrin has Max HP and I certainly didn't roll that. I suspect it was sometime after Rags joined and before James left.

Also, I'm sure some of the players might be busy traveling this week as it is American Thanksgiving. Otherwise they'd have chimed in and introduced themselves by now.

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

Ok vote time:

Who wants max hp per level and who wants natural roll?

(Not that I can’t predict the outcome)

LOL :)

Wiz? Choice? Yeah, not hard. ;P

It will certainly be a bonus to a certain Wiz I know,...

Although, now I'm having vague memories of a possible chat where we did switch to max HP/lvl? (Which, it seems, a certain overworked or obstinate wiz neglected to update to, if so.) ;P

Of course, this means that all of our OPPONENTS will also have max XP,...

Wait, was that my out loud voice again? Dangit, (Must stop giving GM ideas, must stop giving GM ideas,...) ;)

I'm good either way. I'm having FUN!

Oh yeah, speaking of FUN,
I PROMISE to TRY to get out a new update (or 2) on Justin's journal this weekend. Promise. To TRY. For reals. :)

Patrick Curtin wrote:

Honestly, given the laundry list of undead immunities (not to mention the Bolstered Resistance exploit), I don't think it's going to matter much either way for my character.

Sovereign Court

Female Human Level 4 Bard

Max is lovely, modified average is what I usually have my groups do (d4 =3, d6=4, d8=5, d10=6, d12=7), and I always give the monsters max hp when I GM!

Sovereign Court

Female Human Level 4 Bard

Now I'm curious.

To not be annoying:

9d10 + 40 ⇒ (8, 7, 4, 3, 2, 4, 4, 5, 4) + 40 = 81
9d10 + 40 ⇒ (8, 6, 9, 4, 1, 1, 1, 3, 3) + 40 = 76
9d10 + 40 ⇒ (5, 8, 6, 5, 4, 10, 6, 1, 4) + 40 = 89
9d10 + 40 ⇒ (6, 3, 10, 8, 6, 4, 6, 9, 9) + 40 = 101
9d10 + 40 ⇒ (7, 2, 7, 2, 3, 8, 1, 5, 3) + 40 = 78
9d10 + 40 ⇒ (1, 1, 4, 6, 3, 2, 4, 10, 7) + 40 = 78
9d10 + 40 ⇒ (6, 6, 9, 3, 1, 9, 4, 2, 5) + 40 = 85

9d10 + 40 ⇒ (4, 9, 5, 6, 8, 4, 1, 3, 4) + 40 = 84
9d10 + 40 ⇒ (1, 1, 10, 2, 9, 4, 4, 10, 1) + 40 = 82
9d10 + 40 ⇒ (10, 8, 3, 1, 6, 10, 3, 1, 1) + 40 = 83
9d10 + 40 ⇒ (5, 2, 1, 10, 7, 8, 8, 6, 7) + 40 = 94
9d10 + 40 ⇒ (4, 6, 7, 7, 7, 10, 9, 1, 3) + 40 = 94
9d10 + 40 ⇒ (1, 4, 2, 2, 6, 8, 2, 3, 8) + 40 = 76
9d10 + 40 ⇒ (8, 10, 1, 6, 5, 9, 6, 4, 7) + 40 = 96
9d10 + 40 ⇒ (9, 7, 3, 9, 9, 5, 3, 10, 6) + 40 = 101
9d10 + 40 ⇒ (10, 10, 7, 4, 5, 4, 8, 10, 6) + 40 = 104
9d10 + 40 ⇒ (5, 2, 7, 3, 8, 7, 9, 3, 7) + 40 = 91
9d10 + 40 ⇒ (7, 5, 8, 7, 7, 4, 6, 3, 9) + 40 = 96
9d10 + 40 ⇒ (6, 2, 5, 10, 8, 9, 6, 8, 8) + 40 = 102

Female awww, but that would be telling unknown

Yeah, we definitely had max, which was good for me at least because dice hate me. :P

And sorry I haven't posted in the game thread. I'm in the middle of NaNo hell so this month is pretty much kicking my butt. I'll try to get a post in now.
