DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

Welcome back Flash! (and a belated Wb Rags!)

Don't worry, you are still travelling to the Forest of the Norns. It should take a few more weeks, real time, so no hurry..LOL

Male Humanoid Lurker 1/ Nerd 1

You know, if this was a Bioware rpg I'd probably be evil right now. Picking bystander's pockets, conspiring to make shady deals with shady men, all the more I need is pale skin and a black cloak. Oh, wait...

LOL. Well, you aren't killing out of fun, so I'd peg you at Chaotic Greedy =P

Heh. Beats my usual alignment,...

Chaotic Insanity,... ;P

I tend to go for Chaotic Snarky...

Except for Big John Lonnigan. He was Chaotic Crazy all the way!!!

Male Humanoid Lurker 1/ Nerd 1

Yeah, Swire's basically Chaotic *Doesn't care enough to be Evil* at the moment. Who knows, maybe one day you all will rub off on him enough to be Chaotic *Doesn't care enough to be Good*

I admired the "Hey I got a propo ...SODDING HELL!" thing. Very nice Rping.

Hope everyone liked the twist. Gotta love Monte ...

Yeah, I have to admit I LoL'd pretty good there too. Good Job Davi! :)

Ugh. Must post four more dreams ... >.<

Well, I made my FIRST saving throw vs reading others dreams,...

But, then I got to read mine.

NOW I have a NEGATIVE on my NEXT save! ;)

(Yes Dungeon Monkey, you have done it again. Good work!) ;P

*cough*

Thank you for the kudo. If it is any consolation, the 'skeletons' of all the dreams are very similar. A few details differ, is all...

*groan*

Now I have to go driving for an hour. Man, I hate summer colds ...

UGH! yes! Give me the FLU anyday,... as long as it's a WINTER day!
(There is something seriously wrong with catching a 'cold' in 100+ degree heat!)

Get well soon!

On a side note,... (Yes, I know, I'm repeating this across all my threads, sorry)

Just wanted to let everyone know that things are,... hectic,... over here. So if I drop off of radar for a day or so, it's NOT due to lack of interest, just trying to deal with RL. (Which is always about as much fun as it sounds!) ;P

No worries Rags, although the party will miss your savvy spellcasting! =P

Hopefully they won't have to miss me! ;)

Sorry, I guess I could have been more clear. I'm not PLANNING to miss, just warning everyone so if I DO drop off radar, you don't send out the dogs looking for me! :)

Just the usual start-of-school-year stress. I don't know haw familiar everyone is with the current budget cuts, (even in education, which in most states are supposedly protected from said cuts) but, let's just say that my wife is not the only certified teacher looking for work right now.

Yeah, I feel her pain. Been looking since late Spring, and I'm getting waaaay frustrated.

I understand. We've been going through this EVERY summer for the last 3 years! Talk about frustrating! And this year,... it not looking too good.
For teachers. :(

Good luck with YOUR hunt! :)

Hey, Pat;....so when you're doing Sigil, you allow regular summons? What is the cutoff?
Alzo, do you think (for instance) Graz'zt could show up in Sigil? Or would he be a power? If not, then I'm thinking he could have a damn "CR 14 avatar" show up in a bar or something?....
Just wondering what "powers" can't be there; I know Thor or Vecna couldn't, but not sure about like Demon Lords, or like a Devil Lord of the Nine or Beelzebul or something.....

Thinking about "allowing it" then arbitrarily maybe the Lady of Pain gets pissy about something/the Harmonium might get huffy(?)

Well, in the last portion of the Savage Tide AP Malcanthet couldn't enter Sigil in person. I'm pretty sure nothing with a decent-size cult can enter in person, even if the cult isn't big enough to make them a god. Then again, it's your game do what you want etc.

My rule is that the Lady of Pain is the ultimate Rule Zero DM. All aspects of powers are banned from Sigil, only proxies (i.e. folks with power ties to the deity) are allowed. Although the line between power levels of proxies vs. aspects is blurry (and 2e didn't have the aspect system) I personally have ruled that direct aspects of deities wouldn't be welcome. Kinda pissing on the Lady's patch as it were. And also, the Harmonium would definitely get super huffy if someone was mucking about with dangerous summoning.

Also, anything capable of causing mass destruction (like a Goristro or some dire Far Realm Gibbering Mouther CR 30 build) would autofail. But I like letting the summoners have access to their toys ..

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

right on.....
Sigil's Running of the Bulls....

Male(s) 27 Ducks in a James suit Duck 27/ Expert 5

Treasure distribution:
Justin: Ring of Mystic Fire, Ioun Stone
Ekuur: Armband of Maximized Channeling
Bethany: Arpeggio Sabre
Drazek: Gauntlets of Eldritch Fire
Swire: +2 leather armor, Lockpicking Ring
Nari: Ectoplasmic Quiver thing

So, if Isaac can pick he's into the haversack and the boots, but Merle and Karrin should get a pick before he takes anything. There's also cash.

Remaining:

- Boots of Dimension Stride
- Handy Haversack
- Cloak of Resistance +2
- Ring of Adamantine Touch (who has natural attacks?)
- Figure of Wondrous Power (Bronze Griffon)
- 5,000 gp to split or pay out to under-treasured party members.

female Tiefling 12th level Duskblade

I guess Karrin would probably take the boots. It lets her close gaps fast.

Ring of Adamantine touch, read the DM's post above, it works for both weapons and natural attacks. IIRC,...

I likee the Bronze griffon. Justin's feeling lonely, he needs a pet.

One that can claw, bite and fly is a bonus! ;P

JK, (mostly) ;)

Scarab Sages RPG Superstar 2009 Top 32

Bethany has her Sabre and nothing else really appeals to her (she already has a Haversack, boots wouldn't fit on her feet, she plans on making her new Jacket into a Resistance Item, so the Cloak is useless and she doesn't do enough fighting to warrant the Ring). The Bronze Griffon is a possibility, but she'd probably prefer the cash since she will be needing it for enchanting purposes down the track.

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

Yeah, I had kinda figured the adamantine touch ring would tickle Karrin's fancy, as it would make all her attacks as adamantine for DR purposes. But, you guys can duke it out, I am just the dispenser here. I know it is kinda old Skool, but I like giving out actual items rather than having shopping sprees =P

Nah man, I like the fact that you taylor your Phat Lootz to the Characters rather than just dumping a whole heap of crap they either can't use or don't need on them. I think that very little of your generosity has actually gone to waste, with everything being useful by someone.

Dark Archive

Ekuur can take the cloak, if no one has special interest. Always helps having better saves. And he's only taken the armband so far.

Yeah, I kinda Miss 'old skool' sometimes.

Does anyone ELSE remember the modules always giving a 1st lvl character at least a couple of +1 items? Even if they were only daggers? (Caves of Chaos anyone?!?) ;P

And I find that while 'buying' or even 'crafting' what you want can be fun and useful. I have NEVER (personally) had anyone sell of anything they found that was magic. We ALWAYS found a use for it! That was part of the fun! :)

By the bye, the end of the week could be hairy with the hurricane. If I drop off the map, look to see what happened to Cape Cod =P

Might hit me up here in Nova Scotia as well Pat!

Sovereign Court

Male hu-man Paladin

Also Karrin is more of a glass cannon. She needs mobility more then damage output IMO. she's already hitting at +7 damage per hit without power attack or spells. That's a big step over DR or hardness.

Male(s) 27 Ducks in a James suit Duck 27/ Expert 5

Cool. All we have left is the Ring of Adamantine Touch, the Handy Haversack, Cloak of Resistance +2 and Figurine of Wondrous Power. Along with 5,000 gp. Ekuur has an interest in the cloak and Justin has an interest in the figurine, but Merle hasn't taken anything yet.

Isaac got the frost greatsword and the gem of smithing last adventure, so he can take whatever is left over.

I still think either Karrin or Isaac should take the Ring of Adamantine Touch as they are our Melee heavy hitters and need it the most.

I think you (Isaac) expressed an interest in the Haversack, so you can have it as well if Merle doesn't want it.

Ekuur can have the Cloak of Resistance.

And Justin may as well have the Figurine of Wondrous Power if Merle doesn't want this either.

So that just leaves the cash to split.

Dark Archive

Don't really see anything there that Merle would Ic want so just split it amongst yourselves

Edit

Okay maybe the haversack (Merle is accumulating a lot of things)

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

Well, best of luck Guy! They are predicting the storm brushing us on Friday, and the Cape is predicted to get low-level hurricane-force winds and 3-6" of rain. So far, that is. I have to get some final prep chores done today. Fortunately(?) I live far from the shore so waves and water aren't an issue (living on a hill with few trees about also has its advantages )

I'm sorry Kevin if you didn't see anything you really liked. I tried to do a smorgasbord. If it is any consolation, should y'all survive the current battle I will do my utmost to drop a few more pieces of phat lewt for y'all ;)

Male(s) 27 Ducks in a James suit Duck 27/ Expert 5

Okee doke. I'll take the Ring of Adamantine Touch, Merle gets the Handy Haversack, Ekuur takes the cloak and Justin gets the Figurine.
So, with 9 of us (10 if Tiandra takes a cut) we net 500 gp each (or 555 and about 6 silvers if Tiandra doesn't take any).

Best of luck with Earl, guys. We should be getting hit with it in NY tomorrow, but I think Brooklyn might not be in the worst position for it.

Ah don't worry about it. Already got a lot of mileage out of those robes.

Well done folks. Props to our fire wizzy, you sure smacked the crap outta that thing!

For those interested, that was an Advanced Fiendish Autumn Death from the Book of Beasts that Jon Brazer just released. I WAS worried about the high HP and various effects this little meanie had. I did pull some of its punches (the fear effect should have been on from rd one, and all attacks to hit it should have been ranged) but I had no idea that you guys would be able to dispatch it so quickly (of course there was some luck in that-Justin making his Will save and then hitting twice and getting past the SR 15 both times on the final nuke)

Grats, and I think this is a good place to give y'all a level. I'll post that in the main slot as well.

Cool. Are you allowing the APG, Pat? The human favored class bonus for clerics is particularly applicable for this game, and I like a few of the cleric spells.

And I hope Earl misses everyone on the coast, and good luck to you.

Male(s) 27 Ducks in a James suit Duck 27/ Expert 5

I'm glad Justin got a chance to shine, though a tough fight would have been cool. It's tough to design encounters for a party this large and this powerful, though. So far they're saying Earl will miss NYC, so here's hoping it misses you guys further north.

I have it, and I'll allow it, NP. Heck I am allowing pretty much the kitchen sink of WotC stuff ...

Thanks, I think Earl aint gonna be much anyhoo ...

Yeah Earl's a Cat 1 now. We aren't even really getting rain yet.

Yeah, it is tough to design something to challenge y'all. If you guys make your rolls you romp and stomp across the field. If I turn up the heat, I could TPK y'all. It's a delicate balance! =) But you are getting into the power levels where I can throw some of the Lower Planar baddies at you. Muahahah ..ahem ... Yeah ..

Yeah, I believe we've done max hp, with double at 1st level (that's what's written on my character sheet, anyway)
