Fabes:
EDIT SPOILER:

I had a little free time and did quick thumbnails of Lady Bethany and Naridre. I'll do something with all of these rough drawings some day.

Friggin' sweet James. If someday you get the whole gang at the Copper Cauldron, I will die a happy man.

Those look awesome. :)

Thanks, guys. I want to see if I can make at least a few sketches a day to stay sharp. I might break the party up into a few sets of 3-4 characters in a setting, since that would probably be less cluttered than one big composition with, what, nine characters (more if including Renkar, Hanali, etc).

Oh, man. I'd much rather you live a happy man. If making this picture will somehow lead to your untimely demise, I'd better not. I mean, what will we tell your family? My god, I had no idea a BFA in illustration would carry such responsibilities!

Added Ekuur to that page of sketches.
Who likes short-shorts?!
Ishmael
Sorry folks, haven't had internet access all weekend, and the Pathfinder Beta has vamoosed from my hard drive. Sigh.
For the interested, Ishmael resembles the good old Clint as the Man With No Name (minus poncho, and with the addition of longsword and shortsword). He rarely smiles, and when he does, you should be worried. :D
He keeps his Xaositect allegiance fairly subdued, with only a small medallion with the Chaosman symbol on it as an identifier.

Sweet Fabes, I'll write Ish an intro sometime soon. I think Guy/Karrin was helping me by suggesting heading to Mordrigaarz's hangout to enlist their aid. [Quake's Place, the Hive]
Yep that was my intent. I read that someone was in the chaosmen and thought that would be the best way of pulling them in.

Isaac in progress on tracing paper. Not sure who's going to be next before I fill up the whole sheet and transfer to nice paper.

Me likey! He looks very good.
Everyone: I am running late this morn, as I was really tired and crashed late last nite. I figure you guys have a few kinks to work out of the plan anyway. I will try to update this aft.

Pat,
Ekuur should be PFRPG Core-ified now. Main changes:
1. Domain powers (except fire bolt and rebuke death) replaced with domain spells
2. Removed alhulak proficiency (and alhulak, by extension)
3. Replaced Overhand Chop feat with Heavy Armor Proficiency feat
4. Added concentration check and CMD

As I haven't pre-ordered the hardcopy (Mainly due to lack of foresight, as well as funds,) and I don't plan on ordering the PDF anytime this month, (Same reasons) I don;t plan on changing Justin any right now. Although if the Dm decrees that this SHOULD happen I'll be glad to, I just might need some help from those with actual,... you know,... rules.
;P
So, how do they look so far? I read they actually changed a lot from the beta,...

There is an online PRD for PFRPG here
Go nuts! ;)So, how do they look so far? I read they actually changed a lot from the beta,...
On the whole good. There are a few things which I am not particularly impressed with, for the simple reason that I made specific characters based around those concepts, thinking in my stupidity that they were not rule breaking and would of course be in the final rules. I could go on, but please don't get me started on those 2 aspects...

Davi's already signed up, but if any of you are interested in another pbp I'm going to take another shot at it. Here's the skinny.
Ragadolf
I put my name on the list James, Probably one person too late (as usual!)
I have noticed that they changed a LOT of things from the 3..5/Beta to the final PFRPG, at least according to what I'm seeing in the PFRPG SRD. Personally, I hope that WE keep running Beta for at least a while. WHile I don't mind that they nerfed the spell Justin is currently running as far as power goes; (Alter Self, the Beta allows you to take the movement of the new form you've adopted, if any, like burrowing or flight, but in the final they merely give you a bonus to str, besides the new shape obviously) but they also nerfed the HECK out of the TIME (10 min/lvl to 1 min/lvl!)
They also nerfed the specialists 1st lvl power considerably (Justin's RAy of elements in Beta is 1d6, any element, and unlimited/day. Final is 1d4 force missile, 3 + Int bonus /day.) That may not be as big of a deal in the long run, (how often have we all wanted unlimited Magic Missiles?) but it is a big difference.
I'm not kvetching, (not really) just pointing out that there are quite a few changes. No ONE major thing from what I've seen, just a LOT of little ones like above. Of course, I will happily follow mr. DM's decision on any changeovers, but can we at least wait until this current scenario is past before suddenly taking Justin's Alter Self from a 40 min duration to a four minute duration?!? ;P

Admittedly, wizards are the ones who had their class features changed the most, but it's still not that bad. Your damage bonus is better, and Force Missile always hits, which counts for something. (Also playing a fourth level Evoker)
Still, good point on the spell's duration. Can we just say that the spell's duration doesn't change until we're done with this?

Yeah, that's fine. I don't want to screw up your current battle plans. We can sort it out once we have a breathing space.

Hey, Patrick, I probably asked you before but what are you using for your maps?
Kreulaid gave me a Photoshop Document with a grid and coordinate numbers a while back. There might be a DL link for it up in the stickied PbP thread if I recall correctly. I have Adobe Photoshop Elements on my computer, and I just ruff draw the maps, merge the background then add the virtual tokens. Nowadays you can yoink pics straight off the internet for just about anything. On the current map I got Justin's wolf off Deviant Art, I snapshotted Toranna from the PF Core Book PDF, and I scanned the zombie pics from my own Planescape books as my Planescape PDFs didn't have good resolutions.
Ragadolf
I use Gimp, which is pretty powerful, (not too mention CHEAP: IE=FREE) But WHile can and have made over 100 Spellfire cards with the silly thing, I have NO idea how to merge things, I just have to draw over one layer while in another, and they always end up looking cruddy,... could probably make realy cool maps, if I took time to learn how to actually USE the program! ;P
Patrick Curtin
Ah, okay. So as someone that has Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator and should know how to use them, I have no excuse for not having legible maps.
It gets easier to do the more you do it. I am actually quite happy with the Overvault map which is a translation from a 2e module map. I have some more cool ones on the way as you unravel more of the mystery....
Patrick Curtin
So are we going to have to start a new game threat? Has the Silver Rose grown too big? If we need a new game thread we should link it here so everyone can find it.
The wolf's trip was part of the AoO BTW. When she lowered her defenses to run the wolf snapped at her.
Nope, threads can go pretty high these days. There is a 12K post thread now, so we have plenty of room.

Hey all, was looking at updating My Main Man Justin here to official-ize him with the PFRPG, (you know, when we get a break and actually get to DO that!) and found a couple of snags.
The first is one I mentioned earlier, PFrpg nerfed certain spells, (like Alter Self) to an EXtremely short duration. While the spell is still useful, and I'll keep it, it completely changes the WAY it is useful, for example the earlier use of Justin assuming Clawface's looks to interview with Toranna simply would not have happened.
(OK, so that's more of a gripe, i'll move on,...) ;P
Most of the things I see altered will make no MAJOR difference to Justin, (moving bonus spells back to 1 of each lvl you can cast is one) And some are actually beneficial (extra Feats? OK!) My main concern is that humans no longer get a 'free' martial weapon proficiency, and I based Justin on using a sword, not a staff.
I guess I could just use my first extra feat to buy him back his weapon proficiency with longswords?
Meh, just bored at work and looking for something to gripe about, I'll get it figured out! :)
