Was that the Night Below or a Dungeon Module? I'm vaguely familiar with something similar to that.

It was actually from Kobold Press. They don’t seem to have the Pathfinder edition still for sale, but this is the 5th edition version

Oh, and reading my digital copy’s preface, it seems like the concept was started from a module in Dungeon 70 called ’Kingdom of the Ghouls’. So good memory
I contemplated running it at one point but that Underdark campaign never got off the ground.
Edit, just looked up the issue, distinct picture, I own that one :-)

People over the years have just given me RPG stuff they no longer want so I have a ton of Dungeon, Dragon, and 1E stuff to add to the already robust amount of crap I already owned.

LOL! Gotta luv it!

Hey there,
Sorry, forgot to mention in my PbP's that I was going in for another surgery Wednesday. It was to resolve issue #1 of my Prostate cancer removal. (I've 0only been waiting a year and a friggin' half! >_<
It,... Did NOT go as planned. :(
Halfway through they ran into an 'issue' and they had to do a repair of a tear. This meant they had to cancel the planned procedure, as the install of the implant would have interfered with the healing of what they just fixed.
I am fine. i am at home. And I am,... perturbed, at the turn it took. ;P
This means I have to go through all of the healing time I planned for, but with none of the expected benefits. ;P
And in another 2-3 months, I can revisit trying again.
In short, because I literally cannot sit up due to incision location, I will be noticeably absent for a few days, until I can actually sit on my chair.
I will type entries standing up (like I am now!) when I have the time and ability to do so.
Apologies for forgetting to provide early warning.
Feel free to bot my toons. (And play them smarter than I do!) ;P
See you as soon as possible!

Thx all, (I hope so too!) ;)
As I mentioned in another thread, standing is not the issue. It is actually more comfortable to stand than to lay on the couch. (NO sitting!)
But typing hunched over like this is worse than my usual bad posture! ;P
And my body keeps reminding me to take it easy. Emphatically. >_<
"Oh, I HAVE to lay on the couch and watch TV? ALL day? What a shame!" ;P
I'll check in as often as I can. Please DO bot me if needed. (Or have the wiz get bonked on the head and fall unconscious) Don't let me hold up the action once it gets rolling! :)
See ya!!

That's pretty rotten news Rags, I know if it were me I'd be upset that I needed another surgery, but not much you can do except heal up and hope they don't run into any issues next time.
Correct-o-mundo!
I told my long-time friends just last week, I have finally discovered & Quantified "Rag's 4 steps of dealing with SHTF"1-Process (most recent) bad news (Sometimes quickly, sometimes not)
2-Cry about it (A little bit)
3-Cuss about it (A LOT of bit!)
4-Deal with, and move on. (Because there's really not much else you can ACTUALLY do)
It IS a pretty sad state of affairs when you are grateful to go back to the PREVIOUS 'miserableness' and what you were dealing with, because the past 2 weeks of dealing with the miserableness of a messed up surgery is even worse! >_<
Believe it or not, I CAN get pretty whiney. Sometimes. ;)
(even if I DO have good reason for it!) ;P
And every once in a while, the good Lord above has to remind me 'it COULD always be worse!' Despite my protests that it can't possibly,...
(Yes. Yes it can.)
"Thank you Lord, for this lesson in Humility. And God Bless my little broken body!" :D
Thanks for the support everyone. As you can tell by this post, I AM getting back to my 'old' self again. :)
Slowly, but it is happening.

So, sidequest folks. I figured out a way to work this scenario. Give me a combo you wish to explore. Or a list of permutations. In this fashion: L-R-L , R-R-L, etc. each search will either be good, bad, or indifferent until you hit the proper combination to find the portal.

Okie dokey, :)

And, of course, today at work was absolutely crazy. No time to prep up any maps. I am hopeful I can get some done Monday. If not, then maybe Thursday next. Have a good weekend folks. I’ll be able to chat or do color commentary via iPhone
Enjoy the vacay!

Tried posting initiative 3 times and it won't take for some reason.
List Initiative with another word, sometimes the site stops posting when a post is duplicative so you have to mix it up. From what time period are they picking up that duplicate post? Don't know, but when I have had it happen to me in the past that's how I got the next post to go through.

Understood. Is all good.
I should have SOME time Fri & Sat, but next week is the University Opera "Mystery of Edwin Drood". So as Technical Director, Lighting Designer, and everything ELSE they need,...
Yeah, I'll be busy. >_<
I'll try to keep up, but long days and nights mean none of my usual novella-length posts for a week.
(You're welcome?) ;P
Actually, this director rarely repeats a show. I was in this show the LAST time he did it, about 15 years ago now. The funny thing about this show is, it is a murder-mystery based on the unfinished story by Charles Dickens.
SO, as it is unfinished, the Players doing the show (play-within-a-play setup) allow the audience to pick the murderer. AND the pair of lovers.
Which is great, until you realize that as one of the performers, you have to memorize not only your own murderer song,
You ALSO have to memorize the songs for every possible combination of potential lovers you could end up with! (and ALL of the verses are different!) :P
It is fun, but mentally exhausting.
I wanted to be IN it again, but too much to do tech wise, and I'm having enough issues trying to get fixed and healed from stupid surgeries. :(
Still looking forward to seeing it again. ;)

No problem, I am slow rolling this one as Hamar is a bit perplexed by the nature of the creature and not keen on facing it 100% alone considering how far it is from the group currently. Tactically poor decision ATM.

Well, things have been challenging this week. My stepfather up in Nova Scotia passed away suddenly. I am booked out for a flight tomorrow, and I’ll be out of pocket until next Thursday. I might try to get some things set, it depends on how the trip goes. I might be incommunicado, hard to tell. I mostly owe the side quest info, the main thread I am waiting on some actions before Mr polyp goes.

Storyteller Shadow |

I'll try to post tonight, between work and a house emergency I am very limited in time and Hamar posts are always complicated.

I averted a total catastrophe but even with that I might have to rip a carpet out of the basement and put down LVP flooring. Not happy about it to say the least....

I will have a post up for tomorrow night for sure DM! Heading to bed now, have to be up super early for a trip with my daughter's school.
