I'm interested in playing in a RotRL PbP. I'm going to run it for my face-to-face group and would like a little XP from the other side of the table. I've tried to stay away from spoilers on this site, though I have skimmed Spires of Xin-Shalast. I'm pretty good at keeping player knowledge and character knowledge separate.

Comes time, Comes AP.
Sure, there are now a bunch of CotCT rounds setting up, but in the last week alone two new groups Age of Worms have begun. It is all a question of time (perhaps in the middle of April a Shackled City PbP)?
I, for example, am waiting for a new Savage Tide PbP to start to make me totally PbP-happy.

Thanks for the welcome Kruelaid. Man, your new avatar is throwing me off. The begining of semester chaos has died down and I've settled into a comfortable routine with school and work and the family. Now I want to get back into PbPs, though not as many as before.

Mr. Spreckelsen, I'll make you a deal. You run a RotRL game for me and I'll run a STAP game for you.

If I start a PbP as a DM, it will be Shackled City. I know Cauldron by heart (I did two years of DM'ing for two different groups there, but never reached very far... and they say Third time's the charm...)

Hey, Vissigoth, my RotRL has eight people in it but I suspect one more probably wouldn't hurt. However, we are nearly at the end of Burnt Offerings. If you are interested, I'll ask the others if they are happy to have you, but I suspect that will be a formality. We can do the old "found tied up in the goblin den" routine.

Maybe you'd like a cheat sheet of what the group has so far?
Current group-
Varisian rogue
Varisian evoker
Varisian bard
Shoanti cleric
Shoanti fighter
Chelaxian marshal (and his dog)
Dwarven ranger
Elven mystic ranger
Welcome in. We're officially a warband now! Whoo.
Oh- and Aubrey didn't do the free feat from the player's guide thing. They are available of course, but just as another option for a feat.

All the characters are 3rd level, and so is Davos. Assume the standard amount of gear for a 3rd level PC from the DMG, but no single item can exceed 900gp in value (and don't feel you have to spend it all - the others are hoarding until they can get to Magnimar and flash the cash a bit).
By the way, if you want anything that isn't in the core 3 books (like Lesser Vigour) please ask me before going with it - but expect a yes unless it is outrageous (and Lesser Vigour is OK). I'm also generally very unhappy about accepting anything from a non-WotC source, since I have very few.

Yes, both fine. It's more that I like to know, rather than I have any issues, so I can look it up and see what it might mean.
A few questions:
- any backstory points that you want to highlight? I was going to have you as the last survivor of another adventuring party, ambushed by the gobbos while in the wilds north of Sandpoint, but if you come up with some other reason for being in the vicinty, let me know.
- what languages do you speak? For reference, the Chelaxian native language is actually Common.

Anybody still looking for players? I would like to get in to a ROTLR game but any pathfinder game would be fun.
Wolvenone, I was trying to to mention it in another of your posts - but couldn't get access. I'm hardly as much of a regular as some of the posters here, but as some guidelines:
I suggest you keep your eyes on this section (gamer connection) for new Pbp's - as there are often people starting new ones up. With the release of Curse of the Crimson Throne series, I suspect a few GM's will try running it. Also, some folks are running adventures to test out the new Pathfinder Alpha rules set periodically.
Generally, these will show up at the top of the list - I'd look at the start dates on postings to help as well.
Secondly, there's also times when current players in a Pbp may be unable to continue...and if the DM doesn't have an alternate list - they may also call out for more players to fill-in. So, I suggest you keep an eye on those threads as well.
Finally, I suggest you read the play-by-post section for stories you might be interested in. This will give you a good feel for what's going, both in terms of game style, and what potential adventures other players may be planning.
Like I said, I'm hardly an expert - but you should eventually find some games of interest. Hope that helps. Apologies for changing the thread subject.
