About Vissigoth

I was born on July 23, 1985, in Mobile AL. At age 11, my family packed up and moved to Bay Minette AL. It's kind of like the town at the end of Deliverance <banjo>ba-duh-ba, duh, ba-duh, ba-duh-dum</banjo>. I graduated from Baldwin County High in 2003, and I've had on-again, off-again relationships with several colleges since then.

I operate a press in a corrugated fiberboard container conversion facility, which is an overly complicated way of saying I make cardboard boxes for a living. I'm working on my BS in Computer Science, hoping to become a video game programmer. After 6 years of erratic college attendance, I finally have a year's worth of credits. At this rate, I'll complete my BS in 2027. I can't wait.

On May 29, 2005, I married a beautiful woman named Christan. Our first child, a girl named Kahlan, was born August 31, 2006, and our second, a boy named Kaleb, was born October 8, 2009. Kaleb was diagnosed with Down Syndrome at birth, but so far has none of the major medical issues that can be associated with Downs.

I started playing D&D in 2003. I was invited to play by a guy I worked with, and not knowing the difference in editions, showed up to a 3.0 game, with a 3.5 PHB. The DM had a lot of fun trying to teach me the game when I was reading a different set of rules. After about three sessions, we finally figured out the problem. Good times.

I got turned on the Paizo during the Age of Worms AP. My GF/Fiance was working a the local Books-A-Million at the time and bought (read: "took out of the damage goods bin") me a couple Dungeon mags. My first full campaign as a DM was the Savage Tide AP.

After the 4E fiasco with WOTC, I stayed with Paizo and convinced my group to make the switch to Pathfinder.
