Just curious how long (real time) people are taking in getting through each AP? My group averaged 2-3 sessions (6 hours) per AP, thought to be fair at times we skip whole sections both intentionally and unintentionally. (we decided not to go on the bore hunt and more or less left the giants on in their mountain figuring it was better just to deal with Karzog and be done with it.)

I havent played Rise of the Runelords yet...But are you saying it takes 2 to 3 six-hour sessions to complete an issue of Pathfinder or that it takes 2 to 3 sessions to play the whole adventure path?
You did all of Rise of the Runelords in 2 or 3 sit-down sessions? I cant imagine doing the whole campaign in less than 20 hours.
I'm pretty darn positive it would take my group (that plays 5 hour sessions once a week) more than a month just to do Burnt Offerings. Do you level up 3 or 4 times in a sitting?
I'm always very curious to hear other people's versions of how they play D&D.

Burnt offerings took our group seven 4 hour sessions (but that was with the group wiping once and comming in with new characters which requireed us to retread over a little old ground, and some adjustments to the adventure on my part to make it all flow smoothly. Had the original group survived the fight that did it in, I imaging it would have only taken five sesions to finish it up).

Burnt Offerings--about 7 sessions
Skinsaw--about 8 sessions
Hook Mountain--about 4 sessions
(4 sessions of side adventure in here)
Fortress--about 5 sessions
Sins of the Saviors--4.5 sessions
(1.5 sessions of side adventure in here)
Xin-Shalast--3 sessions so far, less than halfway through
Yes, we play more than once a week....
The one that surprised me was Sins of the Saviors. It took 4 sessions to play out, but from the PC point of view, the entire thing was over in 2 hours (plus 2 hours waiting for a gate to re-open). I think I have the only player in the world who saves time by leaving all treasure where it falls, then coming through a second time to loot. It's amazing what a difference that strategy makes. The module felt very short compared to the others.

5x 6hr sessions, and my players have only just dealt with the glassworks, and about to venture below.
session 1) sandpoint raid
session 2) rescue aldern
session 3) boar hunt
session 4) goblin in the closet
session 5) glassworks
(sessions 3 and 4 might have occurred in reverse order, I can't remember)
There was *much* roleplaying with locals within Sandpoint between combat encounters. There was only one combat per session, and one session (boar hunt) was completely roleplaying, no combat.
At this rate, it's gonna take us two years to work through Runelords, but my players are loving it!

haha for the record it was 2-3 sessions (10-15 hours) per PA issue. Any of the dungeons/encounter arc that relied heavily undead pretty well evaporated. And we did skip a good bit of stuff.
I was curious about how others were doing too.

My players will probably finish Burnt Offerings next session.
We normally have sessions that last around 4 hours, although sometimes I'll run a longer one that lasts around 6-7 hours. So far, it's taken around 25 hours.

We just finished burnt offerings, it took us 5 4 hour sessions.
We usually role play lower levels a little more, Paizo seems to be a little more battle intensive at higher levels.
We are actually playing two campaigns at once, we switch between Savage Tide (Which we started a year ago) and just started RORL.
We usually end up skipping about 1 session every 6 weeks which delays us.

We have taken an average of two sessions to finish each chapter but we play for 10 to 14 hours a session once a month. So, it is taking us at least a year to do an AP - at that rate we will fall more and more behind.
We are at the tail end of Chapter 3 and this Saturday will finish that up and be off to the Fortress. Do not know how far we will get. They are still in the lair at Hook Mountain. Depends on what they decide to do before returning to Magnimar and Sandpoint. They actually took possession of the Manor in Magnimar and seem to have no interest in the Fort.
I believe they will return to Magnimar post haste do some roleplaying and re-equiping and then get asked to return to Sandpoint. I may use the one year later for the celebration tactic to get them there because they really like their manor (they even hired a caretaker).
Good gaming...
