There are some really, really good submissions in Round 2.
I think this round was really hard. The assignment was hard.
Please know that for all you top 32 who submitted, you are really being held under the microscope for this round. Dont get hurt or be bummed if the judges have some critical things to say. It is for your improvement. And we are NOT judging YOU, we are judging your ENTRY. That is a big difference.
You are all here because you showed us some serious design mojo already. So know that you are all budding superstars. If you dont move on, you are already the top 32 of over 850 people in a very competitive contest. That is pretty great in and of itself!
Good luck to everyone. I cant wait to see how this all plays out.

Erik Mona posted also somewhere else half an hour ago. I think the Judges' night-postfest is under way. Can't wait to see the comments by Erik, Clark and Wolfgang.

I'm looking forward to see what the judges opinions, suggestions, comments, criticisms are. Good things to pay attention to for next years competition. I keep thinking that sometimes what we might think is cool, may just not work when it comes to published game materials, then again we all have different opinions. The material needs to appeal to a wide range of audiences and must be awesome beans!

Both Clark and I pulled all-nighters to finish our reviews, but that's what a Superstar has to do some time. Wolf, the most superstarish of all of us, somehow managed to finish all of his reviews during waking hours.
Clark went to bed about three hours ago after finishing. I just finished 10 minutes ago and am finally going to bed now.
There were a LOT of good entries this time, and as in the last round there were about five or so that REALLY stood out from the rest of the pack.
I have already picked a small cadre of favorites and now that we've had two samples of design it is exciting to think where these folks will take things next.
Of course, now it is all up to you guys, as popular vote controls the contest from this day forward.
You guys are in for a lot of fun reading!
Thanks again to everyone who participates. All of you guys asking for robust criticism are about to get it in spades.

You have more staying power than I would. Get some sleep and I look forward to reading the entries!!!

Sleep? What? I've been in court this morning. Work, baby, work!

Thanks for your hard work, you guys. I have spent the last three days in a sort of anxiety-induced stupor, which is thankfully going to end very soon.
It is really hard not to feel intimidated... there is a lot of talent here, and there are so many different angles from which one could tackle an assignment such as this one. I am really, really looking forward to seeing what other people did. Maybe we should put together a map with all our countries, and start a diplomatic forum to discuss politics amongst them :P
Best of luck to all 32 of us. Thanks for the encouragement, Erik and Clark.

There is really some good stuff here.
Now, you hear me say that and soon you will see my reviews--many of which are very critical. Please keep in mind that I am reviewing and critiquing people who are already top 32 of 850+, so I have very high standards.
I dont want hurt feelings. I know that is a bit unavoidable. But please know that my comments are directed at the written submission, not the person.
I wish all of you the absolute best! Heck, I was involved in selecting you to be here, so I want everyone to do well!

Ooh, that's fun. I enjoy worldbuilding, but I've never tried to make a cohesive world of random political entities designed by others. It'll be interesting to see how well it works.

Just think of all the fun! It would be very interesting to see how we could fit all the countries into the same world. Great room for crossovers, political machinations and intrigue, MONSTERS!!! :)

Okay, fine...sleeps way over rated. I can't imagine what I would accomplish if I didn't have to sleep. That would be awesome. Sigh...now I just have to refocus myself get some actual work done then I can sit down and read the submissions. Hmm....wonder how late I can stay up and still get enough sleep to make the one hour commute to work in the morning.
