Thanks for the help. I ran out and grabbed a copy of Adobe and I'm gonna try my hand at this. If anyone has any suggestions I will gladly take them. One thing I am going to do is put a perception and athletics section on the sheet for the various modifiers that some races, feats, and classes grant. Please feel free to flood me with suggestions, as I want this folio to be as comprehensive as possible and from all of us, not just my own design.

A possible suggestion that I like is instead of listing several weapons slots to list a Standard attack slot and a couple of slots for Full Attack. And one for Ranged.

Okay, not seriously different at all and a normal sheet can be used to achieve the same effect, I suppose. But just thought maybe having them listed as Standard Attack, Full Attack, Off Hand Attack, and Ranged Attack just made sense.

I list my characters attacks just like this. And you're right with the second sentence too, I just write the standard attack in first slot on the sheet. I try not to name the slots too specifically, 'cause I quess there's lot's of people who want their attacks listed in different order. Thus universal slots.

All that said, I may reconsider this when making a sheet for final rules.

Hey Salama,

Do you have an updated Pathfinder Beta Crimson Throne sheet by any chance? Thanks.

Sorry, but no. We play Crimson Throne with Beta rules, and use my generic Beta sheet. Only difference is the colouring and absence of campaign trait slot. We use feat slot for traits. There will be few slots for traits in my final sheet though, but it's months away.

Pathfinder Beta Character Sheet

Here's my bastardized take on the Beta char sheet. I had this classic 3.5e character sheet in word form and I've modified it slightly and then converted over to pdf. I am not sure where I originally found this sheet but its one of my favorites and I thought I'd share!

I just wanted to say this is a nice sheet Loanarn - I have one character I would have used this over Salama's for.

Also, Salama - I've been using your char_sheet_pfrpg_beta.pdf version, with fillable fields but no auto-calc. It has been a delight, but I notice your newer versions have some extra features (mostly fillable craft/profession fields) - do you have an updated version of this one?

By the way, for anyone looking for Salama's Note page, it's in the alpha version of this sheet (which is available here - http://tommisalama.googlepages.com/char_sheet_pfrpg_a3.pdf)

Sorry about the thread necro, but I was wondering if you'd come up with an updated version like you'd talked about, Salama?

I just leveled, so I'm having to rewrite everything as it is... ;)

I think he was gopnna wait until the Full Verion of the PFRPG is released and make a new one rather than fix the old one (which I use for all of my characters it is so awesome!).

Thanks for your kind words again! It's true that I probably won't update my sheet until the final rules are out there. There is one problem though which I have encountered. If I want to use the Pathfinder logo in my sheet, I'll have to do it using Community use policy. There is a possibility though that my company will publish something under the Compatibility license, which means I can't use the Community use policy anymore. That would mean that I'm not able to offer my sheet anymore. Of course I could make a character folio type of product and publish it through the license, but that would mean it wouldn't be free anymore. I'll have to see how this thing goes.

Actually, as long as your company and you are separate entities, you can publish stuff under the community license as yourself and under the compatibility license as your company ... or at least that's how licenses work over here. But I guess that asking Vic is the best way to be sure.

Well here's from use policy:

"If you make any commercial use of Paizo Material, your rights under this Policy will be automatically terminated, and any permission granted by this Policy will be immediately revoked. If Paizo believes that you are in the publishing business, you are considered to be a commercial user, and you are not granted any right to use any Paizo Material under this Policy."

I'm the only owner of this company, so I think Paizo believes I'm in the publishing business and I'm not allowed to use Community use policy. Even if I would be legally allowed to do this, I'm not sure I would want to 'cause that's not how Paizo wants it to go. I'll look into this though when the time is right.

So has your company made commercial use yet? IE have you published any Paizo materials as a commercial venture yet? Once you have done that, then yes, you are right. You cannot use their license for free use.

We haven't published anything yet with Paizo's materials, but there are some products in development. I think I might be able to use the Community use policy before we publish anything, but I'm not sure that would be fair play. My old sheets though, are probably usable just fine with final rules, although there are some fields missing (like CMD). And of course I have to take them offline as soon as we publish something.

I want to clarify that if we do publish something under the compatibility license and if a character sheet folio won't be one of those products, I will still publish a simple sheet like the beta sheet and offer it for free. It just won't have a fancy Pathfinder RPG logo like the Beta sheet has (it will of course have the compatibility logo somewhere in smalller size).

Hey, I'd be perfectly happy with the thing even with a less pretty logo; what I really want is boxes with usable whitespace. ;)

Thanks in advance.

TOS+ is a powerful automated Character Sheet that supports it.

A vote for Heroforge. It's a wonderful tool, and the character sheets it produces are very usable.

I'm hosting on mediafire for now. If anyone would like another mirror from a place like rapidshare thats fine ill do that just ask but unfortunately i don't have a website of my own to host this on. Feel free to put up your own mirrors of it if you like.

Fillable Beta Book PDF

Looks great!

But it doesn't seem to include the +3 bonus for class skills with ranks in them, making many of the skill modifiers wrong.

I'm thinking that you have to include that yourself in the misc modifier column. It is not a program that has the formula for all the character classes, it is a nice fillable pdf spreadsheet that you have to complete.

Why would it need data for all the classes? There are class skill checkboxes right there.

Is logic like
if (skillname.classskillcheckbox() AND skillname.ranks > 0) THEN +3
too complicated? I don't know how to edit the sheet logic or I'd do it myself.

Also it looks like the last two craft subskills are tied -- whatever you enter as one, the other is renamed to match.

I've used your sheet repeatedly, and other than the ones made specifically for certain APs I do not think there is any Community Use worries with your sheets.

They would easily fall under the PRPG License rather than Community Use. Community Use only applies when using their game world Golarion and their APs and adventures and such.

So as long as your sheet does not include an AP name, it should be just fine.

And BTW, your sheet is by FAR the nicest looking I have ever used.

So now that the core rulebook is out are they going to post the character sheet from the back of the book any time soon?

Well, here's my take on it:

Pathfinder Character Sheet

Pathfinder logo used without permission, etc., etc.

Note that this sheet has separate pages for Arcane, Divine, and Spontaneous spellcasting, so most people won't have to print out the whole sheet, just the relevant pages. I think I got rid of all the houserules before I put this one up; if I missed any, please let me know ;)

If anyone has any suggestions, or would like a custom version of this sheet, I'll be happy to oblige! Just post here, and I'll see what I can come up with.

Great sheets. If you could put in the new skill list in place of the old one based on the core rulebooks, and maybe put in a spot for the new special class skills (such as those for rogues and barbarians), I think I would prefer your sheets to the one in the back of the book.

Thanks to all of you graphic design and spreadsheet wizards! You make the world of RPG's a better place!

Hello - I downloaded several of these sheets by verious authors, but none contained any area for the CMD total. I suspect CMD came out in the core book and not the beta? Anyway - I would love some of these custom sheets with a sopt for CMD........

You'll find lots of sheets over at veector's Pathfinder Database.* I'd encourage the folks that have added one to this thread to submit there as well, so we get a centralized repository of options.

* And I'll advertise for mine, the Pathfinder Character Excelerator, though it's Excel-based rather than a PDF.

I'm all about centralization of resources at work, and so why wouldn't I be in my hobby!

Now that the hardcover is released, I hope the character sheets will be available for download or for sale in a pack. A good combo would be the gamesmaster's screen and the character sheets.

in my grupe one 0f my players recently made a 3 page sheet, i think the layout is pretty sweet. check it out/use it if u like:)
