Just got back from Walking with Dinosaurs- the Live experience.
Probably the biggest geekgasm of the past year- I highly recommend it for anyone looking to charge the braincells for STAP. Hey- it's Dinosaurs!

Well didn't want to create new thread so decided to search first off topic discussion thread that seemed fitting and this seemed fitting.

Was amazed to learn that they are working on figuring out dinosaur pigmentation from fossils. Like at this rate I won't be surprised if we will figure out what they actually sounded like somehow xD

Do you really need to use DNA sequencing or whatever to tell the color of animatronic dinosaurs?

Can't you just look at them (unless it's to help color blind, in which case I suppose it could be useful.

Heh, it's like a fossilized thread about dinosaurs that's been found and now new discoveries are being made!

Why did I not know this thread exist?

Dinosaurs have been a passion of mine since I was 3. Seriously, when most kids at the time were struggling to say "dinosaur" I could say "triceratops" easily.

Heh, a friend of mine and I were having a discussion about this yesterday. He had posted a meme saying something about if a kid can pronounce Tyrannosaurs rex by the age of 4 then they are old enough to start understanding more advanced concepts. I told him I could pronounce Pachycephalosaurus by then. He laughed and said in my case I should have already been digging in the rocks to find them. Believe me, if there had been any in Arkansas I'd have been looking. I hunted and collected fossils all over my family's farm from as far back as I can remember.

And if anyone was interested in playing what's basically Jurrasic Park: The RPG, I very strongly recommend Escape From Dino Island.

This game is amazing! Highly recommended!

Ah, but what is the alignment of DinosaurBatman?

And when power-armored DinosaurBatman has to punchfight SynapsidSuperman, would he power up with Fossilizer* armor and weapon bits?

(* Yes, this a real Transformers toy coming early 2021 to store shelves as part of the War for Cybertron: Kingdom line (think Beast Wars, but with updated and new figures).
