I have been wondering about the WizCo site reading some of their forums (can't post for some reason), and noticed an amazing amount of hysteria. People are up in arms that gnomes are being taken out as a core race (though they readily admit they have no proof of that). Some are up in arms that minotaurs are going to be a new race (though they have no proof of that either). Some are furious that their favorite class is being replaced (though they have no official account for that information).
I appreciate the calm collected manner that people on Paizo's forums exhibit. While some are adamant that they will not buy 4E they usually back up that claim with justifiable reasons (I have so many source books for 3.5 I can't afford to re-invest in 4E). The opinions on here almost always are based upon official releases from WizCo.
So, thanks for the measured sanity and intelligence that is exhibited here. That is one of many reasons I visit the Paiso forums so much more often.

You want to talk about cool? My first fourth edition character will be the normal human child of a silver dragon who was violated by a werewolf. He'll have black hair with silver bangs that hang over one eye, and he'll be so angsty and emo that black blood of despair will drip from his eye- one ebony teardrop at a time.

Actually, since 4th Ed will seemingly have only wood elves, I think they're planing (that's plane-ing not planning) my forest-dwelling cousins for "wood" since there are suddenly so many of them around. :(`````0

There seems to be this misconception about WotC switching DnD from 3.5 to $e . . . I mean 4e.
Everyone seems to be upset about the change. There's no need to worry. There's no need to be apprehensive. $e, uh I mean 4e, is a better game.
Just remember that when are required to turn in all your 3.5 and earlier gaming books in May in exchange for your virutal character avatar on Gleemax, that all this is for the better . . . yes, the better.
