Halloween is my favorite holiday and has been for years. I always dress up and take pride in my costumes. In the past I have done a lot of traditional scary costumes with fx make-up and stuff. Each year I get more and more tired of going through it all. I usually have an idea for what I want to be by now and I just figured it out last night. I'm going to dress up as a kenku. I'll post pictures after the day.

What are y'all going to be/do?

Liberty's Edge

Well, my wife is having our 3rd child on October 16th or thereabouts, so I'm going to be a zombie. I don't know what I'll be for Halloween, probably a parental escort in jeans and a Danzig t-shirt or something. Y'all have fun though.

Probably the usual- either a clergyman or a drunkard. On the better Halloweens, I get to mix the two.

A few of my friends and I are going to be the blasphemous Holy Family.

What am I going to be on Halloween?

Working.

I do this every year. Chicks dig it! ;)

I've been Kenny Rogers two years in a row. (Yeah, that's right, Kenny F-ing Rogers, want to fight about it?)

This year, I'm thinking a masked mexican wrestler (luchador) - complete with sequined tights and garrish head mask.

Yeah, that's lamer than a sheet ghost costume.

Oh, I"m sorry you can't play on Halloween Jade! Maybe you could dress up at work anyway?

I'm going to be Peter Pan and am seriously debating about getting a 'nightgown' for my puppy so she can be Wendy. I'm going to get some frabric and recreate this costume, except less skanky and more action oriented.

Or, if I can talk my girlfriends into it, we might dress up as the girl super heroes/villains from DC. I'm claiming Harley Quinn.

Liberty's Edge

That reminds me of this failed sitcom I saw on ABC 15 years ago. It involved Tim Curry and an eccentric multimillionare lady who was putting together an "all dog Peter Pan" production. There was this furry little dog with a Peter Pan costume on flying wires with this look of utter shellshock on his doggy face. He was the perfect straightman for that bit.
I also lost all faith in network television to bring anything real to market that day as this show was a "failure" for whatever reason.

What's the 4e Troll?

The scrappy answer would be to name the exec at Wizzies of the Coast who pulled the trigger on 4th edition... but I ain't sayin' it.

The 4e Troll Miniature?Duh

Alas, likewise here.

Not that we get many trick or treaters out our way.

At least when I get home I will be able to lay claim to all my daughter's peanut butter cups as a sort of consolation prize (she doesn't like them very much)...

I'll go to work dressed up as Nana the dog. :) Just need to let a beard grow in and I'm probably there.

I will go old school as Charlie Brown with the sheet with the all the hole. All I got was a stupid rock.

I don’t usually dress up, except for the year I went as a Rastafarian when we did Halloween in Vegas. Last year I found an awesome pink, winged pig hat with a pull string that makes the wings flap (makes my son laugh every time), so I am totally wearing that. We don’t usually get more than one or two kids to the door (even with me handing out full size candy bars to boot), so instead we drive up to where we both grew up and stand in line for the local haunted house put on by the Fire Fighters/EMS/Police. We’re 24/7/365 at work, so I tend to use my personal holidays for Halloween.

Hey all right! Wife pitched my old shirt which had both Danzig's spit and Marilyn Manson's sweat on it. That was a good concert. Oh course now I'll never get that hybrid clone I wanted....

Me too, probably....means I'll be dressed in a dashing 100% polyester outfit...navy shirt with french blue pocket and shoulder flaps, french blue pants with navy stripe and lots of creaking leather gear.....and a scowl....can't forget the scowl....I always forget the scowl....

The Exchange

Sigh I will go as I always do as parental escort, What a way to spend a birthday weekend. My youngest Son will go as Green Lantern and my oldest has yet to make up his mind. Although the misses wants me and the youngest to go as dr evil and minime. Guess my oldest could be Dr. Evils son.hmmmmmmmmm

Ideally...Iggwilv. That's right, Iggwilv will be in the Sanctum Sanctorum of tech equipment, behind a dual screen Linux setup. ;)

I think I might dress up as an overweight and grouchy editor.

Just like I do every other day of the year... ;D

*pokes Mike* Bah!

I personally am going to be a random Ravenclaw student. A buddy of mine is having a party, and the theme is Harry Potter. *geeky grin* I totally get to make a snitch cake.

My Daughter wants to be Kim Possible so my wife and I are thinking about dressing as Dr. Draken and Shego and see how many people out on the town know whe we are.

Where is all this skank animosity coming from.

Not so much skanimosity as I do not quite have the body to pull that off and it's going to be cold. Perhaps more practical would be a better word?

Last year I wore a suit over a wifebeater, rolled up the sleeves 80s style, slicked up my hair and drew dragons all over my arms.

Best yakuza costume ever.

Ace from Ace and Gary, the ambiguously gay duo. I kid you not.

As ever,
ACE

The Jigsaw Puppet from Saw (the movies), riding a tricycle with a bunch of severed limbs dragging behind it on chains.

Seriously, I got a part time job at a Halloween store in our local Mall, they had the Jigsaw Puppet and I put it on.

Here's the problem. I am an exceptional mimic, and the Jigsaw voice is one of the easier ones to mimic, both in tone and delivery.

Since that first day, I am not allowed to wear the mask in the store anymore. I freaked out all my employees, and half of the customers. The only "escapees" were people who hadn't seen the movie.

So yeah, Jigsaw. Its gonna be fun.

"Hello, Wizards of the Coast. Would you like to play a game?"

We need pics.

I am going to be a street performer because I just got a new fife and want to see all the odd looks I get while playing it. The costume is kind of off the bards in the players handbook.

Scarab Sages

I'm trying to be an erudite Effrit...mostly because without my glasses, I would walk into traffic.

Well, I guess I need to be a super hero or villan; just cant decide which one. Am just pretty average; not tall, short; heavy; light or any of that; there are not to many medium in all ways supers out there and if I do one; I dont wanna do it poorly.

A mime with a baseball bat.
As a mime, in this day and age, if you ain't got a bat you ain't got nothin'.

Kinda reminds me of the Baseball Furies from "the Warriors"

My usual, fake tattoo selves and black clothes. I love how the old people gasp when I come near!

I think I'm going to go as Dutch from Black Lagoon this year, since I look so much like him. I go to the parade in the village every year, and although I doubt anyone will recognize my costume(at Otakon, I was mistaken for Morpheus from the Matrix so many times, it wasn't funny...), it'll be well worth it. And cheap. Don't forget cheap.

I'm going as the Invisible Man. I plan to pull this off.... by not leaving the house on Halloween. :)

Wolverine is quite easy to do (if you go as 'Logan' I mean) wifebeater, jeans, boots, cowboy hat, dogtags, bit of facial hair etc

Superhero types are always a good choice and for those who are all skin and bone like myself you can get many great costumes thesedays with built-in muscles!

Yay!

My good friend Kitty is going to a party as Batgirl this year with her permission I will post a pic of her. :)

Dude, that is SO awesome!! Do it anyway, get a camcorder and post it somewhere we can observe the mayhem ... were I rich, I'd wire you some moolah to give the job the wank and freak everyone out anyway ...

I'd quite like to go out on Halloween with the other half as Apollo (him -tall and blonde) and Midnighter (me -short and dark) but I'm not sure anyone 'cept us would even know who they are. :( Plus there is no way on earth I could find or have a Apollo costume made up in time.... Ah well... maybe next time. :)
