Sigh. I've been working at the corporate office for a grocery chain for 2 months on a temporary position. It sucks, but I really need the money so I can get my own place (we're moving in tomorrow) and a new car (bought, on order, who knows when it'll show up). My supervisor pulled me aside to tell me I'm going back to the store on Monday. No more 40 hours/week, no more $9.50/hour, no more weekends off.
I am ambivalent about this.
On one hand, I will go back to my old job, which doesn't suck as hard and I'm actually good at. On the other, our finances are going to be considerably tighter. We just moved out of my mom's house and I swore to myself I'd never go back. Maybe I can get on Foodstamps now.
The funny thing, to me, is that astrologically something like this was going to happen. I've started studying astrology the past year, really getting down to the meat and grit of the thing. This week, there are several really weird conjuctions, oppositions, and placements that speak of change, ambivalence, transformation, break down of communication, and rethinking life. My BFFF had a really important realization about her art a few days ago that has the potential to really help her grow, my guy is really starting to deal with the grief of losing his father two months ago and getting back into his work, my mom is quitting her job, and now I'm changing jobs yet again. These incidents are too...coincidental?

How about micromanaging flower power New Age owners who notice the place I was hired to save is cleaner, making more money, friendlier, but pulls me aside yesterday to tell me my lazy unmotivated employees whom I finally have DOING THEIR JOBS are telling her I'm too "bossy".

I receive a strange phone call from my Mum last night. She called in the middle of one of her favourite programmes, and sounded upset. She wouldn’t tell me why- although normally she would- saying she was fine, but that was a bit worrying.
The only think I think it might be is that she’s upset about her brother-in-law, Robert. I remember her telling me three weeks ago that he was due to go in for some tests the following week… I guess that she must have heard from her sister, and that the results are bad. I hope she’ll tell me soon.

Spending two hours crossing downtown Savannah to get a thumbnail-sized sticker applied to my student ID. They were supposed to give me one at registration, but they forgot, and I didn't find out that I needed one until a security guard wouldn't let me enter one of the campus buildings.
At least a college education doesn't cost a lot of money.

Didn't have that thankfully. It's a watercolor class. But that many tubes of paint and brushes and paper, etc. all adds up pretty darn fast.
In case anyone was wondering about my previous post on here, I found out that my Mum and her husband had had a major row. I only know some of the details, but I don't really want to talk about it here.
