That's just great. "Here, religious vegetarians for thousands of years who invented Buddhism, fought off Alexander the Great, and (I think) invented martial arts, and prolly did about 50,000 great things that I can't think of right now cos I'm pissed. Eat some disguised beef product."
That's worse than the guy finding the dead bat in his Roy Rogers (tm) burger. F@&*, man.

Strep, ouch. Tough call on what’s worse, the sore throat, or the stomach cramps from the antibiotics.
Heathy, watch Falling Down. It’s my favorite movie; the ending is very sad, but it’s a great movie about making people care.
Cripes Shiny, all those boy scout outings left you in good shape, that’s a heck of a hike with a one man band on your back.
So, to add to this thread, sorta knocked myself unconscious today. Happens, still had crap to do afterwards (like spend $700 on new tires and brakes, makes me want to puke), but I have a killer headache now.

If you get cramps or nausea from antibiotics, try taking acidophilus with them. My hubby got horrible nausea from one of the pills he was taking, and the dentist recommended taking acidophilus with it to help.
Works quite well, you can get it in capsule form.

heh Shiny; thanks for posting; man, am I bad or what; for somereason reading this thread alway makes me feel better; probably because no matter what my issues; somebody has it worse and my heart goes out to them; wow; got stood up five times this last week; wierd; but they were good reasons if they were the truth and did go out with one of them yesterday; but hey; I dont even feel bad about it.
hehe so I am getting this email from some girl in Russia; is it a scam or is it real; hehe says she is coming to visit in a few weeks and is doing her travel stuff now; will she just arrive or is it a scam for money; is this bliss or ultimate suckage; stay tooned true believers.
hehe I always wonder if it is a real live girl telling the truth or some dude Russian mobster trying to get cash through fraud. I say 90% on the fraud knowing that things often suck in life.

Do you remember the advert by KenzerCo; for Mail-order Russian Gamer-Girls?
Don't tell me you actually cut it out and filled it in?

Me - "NO NO NO YES DAMMIT! f%!~!"
The reason I haven't been on the boards for two days:
I have no social skills.
My *date* went very mediocre-ly. She was a nice girl, but I was off in space the whole time. Afterwards, I ended up going running just to shake off the nerves. I think I scared some people; me, running down main street shirtless, wearing shorts and combat boots while muttering to myself.
Anyway, I finally got myself back together, and booked it to my buddy's family's bar. I ended up spending six hours (after hours) chillin' and playing pool with a few friends. Ended up getting home at seven in the morning, then crashed until four.

hehe no I didnt; but maybe I should have; I think some of my friends are starting betting on whether or not she is real; a couple of them have gotten emails from Russian girls with Yahoo accounts and they were all money scams; all the messages are like form letters and have some things that are identical. I am kinda hoping mine is real, but not much chance it is; doubt I will believe it unless she shows up at the airport. Its not like I dont have lots of other women to date, but, none are this intriguing; says something about a girl that will travel 10 time zones to visit you. I sure hope she doesnt ask for money; I dont and wont give money to a girl unless she is living with me; I dont have a lot of rules; but that is one of them. Will totally suck if she does; if I post on the good things; hehe you will know this amazingly beautiful girl showed up and thinks I am pretty special.
suckage vs good thing; the jury is still out.

You'll be surprised to know that my friends is hitched with a nice Russian girl. They met on neutral ground in a foreign country, though.

Someone I know also got married to someone he met through the Internet, and then went over there to see in person the first time. She was really nice.

Got a packet from Paizo held back through customs and received a letter telling me I have to pay VAT to get the packet delivered.
Fair enough, those are the rules.
VAT is 25% of the total price of the packet, shipping included (thankfully there aren't extra custom duties on books, like there are on most other things ordered from outside the EU).
But here's the kicker.
In order to pay this VAT amount I have to pay an additional administrative cost, which is 2.5 TIMES THE AMOUNT OF THE VAT!!!
So, to get my books I have to pay more than 3/4 of what I've already payed for them!
F%~%ing bureaucracy!!!

I was reading this the other day Valegrim. Hope its everything you well....are hoping it is. Be your cautious self, and keep your rule about not sending money. For what it is worth, I once had a neighbor here in town who had a mail order bride from Russia. Guess it worked for him.
It reminds me of this movie I've seen.

~grumbles~ One of my friends bounced a check and that caused a domino effect on her checking account. Over $600 is bank overdraft fees later, she is still in the hole. Luckly I have had some extra money to help out. Plus her hubby gets paid once a week and they get an extra paycheck this week. `shakes my head` But it still has been a blow to her. She has said if it were not for me, she did not know what she would have done. ~tight smile~ Yay for me being there. ~sighs~ I would like a few months or years without any trouble on my end or my friends end please.

I saw this movie, it was filmed like a homemade documentry. This guy gets a mail order bride from Thailand or a similar Asian country. She turned out to be an absolute psycho. She wanted a baby and he wasn't ready for that. She spent all his money on little pig figurines, talked on the phone, threw things at him when they got in arguements (which was constant). She finally moved out and moved on to someone else. He eventually talked a friend into getting back at her for ruining his life so they set her up with the friends dad. Strange movie.

That's... not the same movie.
::Double Checks my link::
The movie I linked was about a straight-laced bank clerk who, in a drunken fit of loneliness, signs up for a mail-order Russian bride. She shows up and turns out to be hot. Really hot. Stupid hot. Well... Nicole Kidman-hot. But she speaks no English. It becomes a nice, little, "get-the-straight-laced-guy-out-of-his-shell" love story. Then her "cousins" show up from the old country and everything goes to hell.
Awesome movie. If a little strange.

hehe just got the money email; guess I lose. ah well; not like I dont have lot of dating oppurtunities; just not any I am excited about. Really; a real life mail order bride; cool. I will see what the next email is if there ever is one.
sigh; if dating sucks so much why do I do it; well; other things suck worse.
