I'll pass on the beer, but a lunch meeting would be great,
subplan a) getting the Paizo people drunk and weedling secrets out of them.
subplan b) getting the Paizo people drunk and getting our names in the players guide.
subplan c) Getting them REALLLY drunk, and Morris, god of Hermits shows up in pathfinder (Granted power of the Hermit domain, turn everyone)
I've a newbie coming in on a free badge, so I'll make sure to send him your way, doc.

Okay, now I'm conflicted. If y'all had choose Origins or GenCon this year which would you choose? What's the difference? What am I missing?
I've actually only been when they were merged, many years ago. I don't really know what either is like currently.
This year I signed up to go to Gen Con first, because AFAIK it's much bigger. Also, my brother was arranging a trip and we got a group together for it.
Then I jumped at the chance to volunteer for Paizo/Titanic at their booth at Origins. I wouldn't be able to justify the cost if I had to pay for everything (I'm even flying on air miles).
So originally, I would have chosen Gen Con, but part of me is more excited about Origins now. I get to hang out and talk to people at the Paizo booth all Con!

I'll be there with bells on. Well, not real bells. What am I? Some clown? To amuse you?
I know this is off slant here but the whole mobster theme of the post got me..
I always wanted to see someone hire Joe Pesci and place him at a swag table handing out pens with the company/event logo on them."Is this your pen? Is this your fu#$ing pen?!?!" would be priceless to hear, live.
Threadjack over, sorry.

Hey D-
My choice was easy. My in-laws live in Columbus and much of the family was planning on getting together around the 4th anyway. And they live 17 miles from the Con site. I get free room and board, get to visit fam for a few days and get to get them out of my hair for a few days.
Also, it's close to my wedding anniversary, so Origins is an excellent present.
