Pathfinder campaign world?

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

Any word on the general flavor of the campaign world? Any specifics, i.e., countries, empires, or lack thereof?

Also, will there be opportunities for player submissions of original dungeons?

Check out our blog for some neat background information. Aside from that, we don't have a lot more to talk about right now that wouldn't be spoilery for the first adventures. But keep checking in with the blog and keep skimming through the messageboards for new and interesting tidbits. :)

Full dungeons? Not likely. At some point (I'd put my money on some time after July) we'll have submissions guidelines up. We're dedicated to having contributions from our fans; we just haven't decided yet how much or what. :)

Ah, so you want to know what we know about Pathfinder? Here's a little laundry list of things we've been told already:

PEOPLE

Auranorex: Greatest gold dragon in the world - dead.
Chorak: Legendary giant warlord said to be buried in a great tomb on Chorak's Rest.
Jekkajak: Called by many "He Who Forgets More Than You or He Knows," is the Truescale's shaman.
Karzoug: Runelord of Greed.
Lekmek: Truescale's cruel mining foreman.
Merlokrep: All-mighty Dragon King of the Truescale Kobolds
Mokmurian: Sinister giant responsible for gathering his people for war.
Tirana: a vile enchantress who plots to use the Seven Swords of Sin for "bad things."
Valeros: One of the iconics.
Vreggma: Chief Consort and Only One Allowed to Nag-Nag His Greatness.

DEITIES AND POWERS

Abadar: Master of the First Vault.
Asmodeus: Bad guy, to say the least.
Desna: Song of the Spheres.
Erastil: Old Deadeye.
Gozreh: The Wind and the Waves.
Lamashtu: Goddess of Monstrous Birth.
Sarenrae: The Dawnflower.
Shelyn: The Eternal Rose.

REALMS
Osirion: Ancient kingdom once ruled by emperor-gods. Has pyramids. Closed to exploration until recently.
Thassilon: Ancient empire - Runelords - sin magic.
Varisia: Frontier region where the first AP takes place.

I'm just going to list the rest... but you get the idea. We know quite a bit, already.

CITIES AND SITES
Absalom, Brinewall, Chorak's Rest, Falcon's Hollow, Jorgenfist, Magnimar, Riddleport, Runeforge, Sandpoint, Sothis, Xin-Shalast

GEOGRAPHY
Ashwood, Bloodsworn Vale, Darkmoon Vale, Gnashers, Hook Mountain, Mushfens, Storval Plateau

Very nice list EP. I know we'll eventually see the world, but its fun to pick through and glean what we can now - helps to pass the time :)

Need to add "Abendigo" and "Belkzen" to the Realms list, from today's blog entry. Also add "Darvayne Gios Amprei", presumably a scholar who apparently authored a book "Merciless: Abendigo, Belkzen, Varisia, and Other Hells"

So... will there still be supplements to convert the adventures to FR like Dungeon had or is that off-limits now?

I seriously doubt it. Due to copyright laws, etc., Paizo won't be able to produce any material for them. They can't even talk about those settings except in very specific circumstances.

Official conversions to WotC campaign settings are off limits to us, but would make a great topic for message board discussion...

We cannot do conversions, unfortunately, since our license with WotC is ending. Conversions to FR and Eberron and Greyhawk for Pathfinder adventures will pretty much fall into the domain of our dedicated readers.

As has been mentioned before, Eric L. Boyd, who has written conversion notes for Forgotten Realms in the past adventure path has mentioned a willingness to do the same now as well, albeit in an unofficial manner. So it won't make a big difference, really.

Sovereign Court

Add Baba Yaga, the hag.

Aren't you supposed to be on vacation today, Boss? :P

"Out of the office" and "on vacation" are two totally different things. :)
