This is a possibility. We still need to work some things out.
But I think a "Tome of Horrors: Pathfinder Edition" would be cool. In print. Paizo layout style. The monsters get a polish and some Golarion specific information in the monsters themselves, perhaps.
I think this would be a killer products.
I'm talking with Erik about it. We'll see....

It's certainly got MY support! :-)

Wow. I'd definitely buy it .. and heck, I don't even play D&D anymore.

With the exclusionary clause in the GSL and Necromancer going 4e, will this prevent this reprint from happening?

The first volume of Pathfinder references the Tome of Horrors and Green Ronin's Book of Fiends.
I can definitely see a use for this product. Consider us strongly considering it.

I was lucky enough to get both of these books (the latter after much hunting and battery to my wallet), and I'd have agree with the Threads overall sentiments- let's see these great books back in print please!

I think the idea would be that there would be the Pathfinder (line) Tome of Horrors and a Necromancers 4E line of the book. That would make both camps happy Im sure.
The mouse god over at WotC wouldn't have a problem with this? I own I, II, and III but to support Pathfinder I would consider buying there version, especially if its Pathfinder updated.

With my limited understand of how the GSL is supposed to work as long as a product is under seprate product lines it can be published under other systems. Im not a lawyer and I havent seen the liscense so Im not sure if this is actually possible, but I certainly would love to see a Pathfinder version of this book, even though I already own the revised version and ToH2.

![]() |

I would also buy it. I've got all three of the the 3.5 ToH series in PDF, it'd be nice to have them all in hardcover as well, because I find I use them more than my "official" product. (I sit down and go through monster books when I get them and make a handwritten list of things I can use in my game. On a good WotC book, I can use anywhere between 30% and 60% of the monsters therein. On the ToH series, I find it's just easier to run off a copy of the table of contents....)

Tome of Horrors 3.5 gets my vote.
And mine. But --given the official silence over the last months, following comments like "well, that'd be interesting"-- I think we might all be dogs barkin' at an empty house, fellows. Tome of Horrors is likely stone-cold dead.
So I wish Pathfinder modules would stop referencing entries from it...

I am in !
A pathfinder edition of the TOH would be great !!
Well one of the reasons that Paizo is going to PfRPG is that they didn't want to have some other company (WotC) in control of their destiny. Why should Necromancer make a product that would put it in the hands of some other company (Paizo in this case)? It would be better to make (print) a 3.5 product and let PfPRG players convert from there.

Orcus speaks of Pathfinder ToH
Post #64
This made me so happy! I love Orcus in a wholly inappropriate manner!
ToH yay!!!

I am currently running the age of worms campaign and we are clsoing in on th time of enterin the Tomb of Horrors. I have even cross linked the the campaign in many ways with the "item" they are supposed to recover and the demi-lich to Kyuss in my campaign.
A revised pathfinder version would be awesome to say the least and ask that Nick Logue do the translation to um.....ensure how dealy and creepy the place should remain sinse he has the "creepy feel" touch.
(Just read Carnival of Tears)

Sorry . . . this thread is about the Tome of Horrors, a monster book. Wizards owns the rights to Tomb of Horrors, so a Pathfinder version is extremely unlikely.

I am just now using many of the monsters in Tome of Horrors II and III. I also have the original TOH 3.0 edition, but am unsure whether the books replacement is easier than just using the errata update to 3.5.
I'm aware of the 3.5 .pdf but prefer my monster books in print. Anyhow, these are awesome books that I only started purchasing because the PAIZO team wrote in monsters like the Tentamort into the adventure paths. Thanks PAIZO, great recommendation. LOVE IT!

Yeah, I misunderstood as well. I believe I wrote that I wanted a Tomb of Horrors from Paizo... but I thought we were all talking about the same product.

Assuming you can do Tome of Horrors, is there any chance you could also get Book of Fiends back into print? I've been trying like mad to find this book in print and it sells around $120 on the low end to $300 on the high end at out of print book stores. I never thought to pick it up until Pathfinder began using creatures from these sources. Now I want both Tome of Horrors and Book of Fiends for my personal collection. So if you can do it, please reprint both Tome of Horrors and Book of Fiends. I would gladly buy both.

A few months ago I had two BoFs. One from Green Ronin Shop and one from the Paizo sell.I had to sell the second book for 15 EUR because noboy wanted it!
Anyway, have you had a look at the Green Ronin webpage? They might have a few books left.
