Tried to add Pathfinder subscription, but not showing as a Charter Member

Customer Service

I think I must have done something incorrectly, as I have converted my subscription credits over to a Pthfinder sub, and then went back and added a month-to-month subscription, but am NOT showing as a Charter subscriber :(

Can anyone help me out ?

Same thing here, Cosmo: I converted my remaining dungeon subscription to a Pathfinder and added a month-per-month subscription on top of that but I'm not showing as a "Charter" subscriber.

Is there a difference between "Pathfinder Subscriber" and "Pathfinder Charter Subscriber" ?

Voíci!

As for the difference, If you roll your remaining issues from Dungeon and/or Dragon over into volumes of Pathfinder, you are a "Pathfinder Subscriber" and you get those volumes plus the pdf of the those volumes. If you sign up for a Pathfinder month to month subscription before the launch in August, then you are a "Pathfinder Charter Subscriber" and inaddition to the volumes and the pdf's, you also get a free printed copy of the Rise of the Runelords Player's Guide.

And you, my friend, are a Charter Subscriber. Thank you!

No! Thanks to YOU, my friend. LOL :)

Adventure Path Charter Subscriber

I transferred my Dungeon & Dragon subscriptions over, and then signed up for the Pathfinder subscription -- alas, I am only a subscriber, not a Charter Member.

Can I join the club? Please? I even paid! ;)

(My card got charged, but I already got the "Oops, mistake, being fixed" email, so no worries there.)

Having a similar problem, Cos:

OK, so-
My Dungeon and Dragon subscriptions ARE under my name, but NOT under my credit card number (my mother bought my subscriptions three years ago).
About 20 minutes ago, I transferred my remaining issues to Pathfinder; again using my name, but NOT my credit card, and I am not showing up as a charter subscriber.

Could someone please explain?

Having the same issue. Thought I checked the box on month to month when I ordered, but my name isn't saying charter.

I am confused to . . . mine says charter subscriber but my concern is is this . . .does that mean I finish up my remaining dragon subscription and then the money transfers or does it cancel my Dragon and the puts the funds over?

I'm in the same boat. I added a month-to-month subscription after converting the remanents of my Dungeon subscription; if there is anything special I need to do to complete my charter membership, I'd appreciate if you contacted me. Otherwise, I'll check back tomorrow and see if the problem is corrected.

Thanks.

So how does the charter subscriber work? It was my understanding that anyone who subscribes to Pathfinder before the first issue's release date is a charter subscriber.

But on the board I see both 'regular' pathfinder subscribers and charter subscribers. So how does it work? do you convert them manually, or is there some sort of automated proces?

Mr. Shiny,

*Flexes massively ripped muscles to intimidate errant subscriptions into line*
pla-ZOWIE!

...aaaand your fixed.

It appears that between you and your mother, there are three different profiles with three different email addresses. I have, therefore, compiled all of your various subscriptions under your "Eldritch Mr. Shiny" profile and you should now be able to view them and get the cool "Charter Subscriber" tag.

Fraust,

*Hammers out deal with netherworld overlords for Fraust's benefit*
*pa-ZING*

You're properly outfitted, now.

Matt,

The issues of Dragon you converted into volumes of Pathfinder only come from those issues you had left over after the end. Your Dragon subscription will continue right up to the last and you will not miss any issues.

Saphrael,

You already appear to be set up from what I can see. Please let me know if you are still not seeing your Charter status on your posts. For a definitive measure, check your My Subscriptions page to see if your Pathfinder subscription shows up there.

Chef's Slaad,

Anyone who converts their remaining issues into volumes of Pathfinder becomes a "Pathfinder Subscriber" and gets however many volumes of Pathfinder their remaining issues converted into, as well as the pdf's of those volumes. However, anyone who sets up their Month-to-Month Pathfinder subscription before the launch in August becomes a "Pathfinder Charter Subscriber" and, in addition to each volume and pdf, they get a free printed copy of the Rise of the Runelords Player's Guide.

Thanks,
cos

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook, Starfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber

Gee, it must have been an early system glitch, because I was 'adding a post' just for giggle 'n' grins to see if I showed up as a 'Charter Subscriber' and there it was in all it's glory behind my "name."

I do have a question though. I just clicked on the month-to-month (and was of course charged for, or will be charged for, one issue) and is that how it'll be, charged one month/one issue at a time? Or could "we" sign up for 6 months or 12 months? (I was considering doing that honestly.)

Just wondering.

You'll be charged once per month as each book ships.

Mine isn't showing Charter member either, but am I missing something? Is there some benefit to being a charter member?

Oh, Okay. (Thank you Mr. Gary Teter) you guys here at Paizo certainly keep an 'eye' on these messageboards. That was a fast answer. (Although it might have been covered under the FAQs.) If so I apologize for not looking there. (Now I just need to remember I won't be charged for the 1st issue of Pathfinder until August.) :P

Thanks again.

Oh, well duh. Answered right above.

Hi Customer Service / Cosmo,

Yesterday I subscribed to both Pathfinder and Game Mastery ongoing subscriptions. I can view my order in My Account, all seems fine, however My Subscriptions appears empty. I'm also not seeing any Charter Subscriber message after my messageboard posts. Or maybe this takes a little time to process?

Thanks,
DarkWhite

It should be automatic, but sounds like there's a bit of a mixup with your order. I'll check on this tomorrow when I'm in the office. (Yeah. 4th of July. Holiday. Preparing for Origins. Heh. :-)

Paizo Employee Senior Software Developer

DarkWhite, for some reason you weren't set as the recipient for your subscriptions. I fixed that, and have added this apparent bug to my ever-growing to-do list.

Lantern Lodge

Thanks Gary, very much appreciated.

Cheers,
DarkWhite

Greetings!

I would like to jump on this bandwagon as well. My account does not show Pathfinder Charter Member, can you please take a look at it for me?

Also, a question regarding the Dragon/Dungeon subscriptions I gave my nephew. How do I transfer his subscription over as well to Charter Memberl? I want to make sure he does not lose any issues of Pathfinder. I am not sure if his name is in your database under my account or not...

Please advise and thank you for all of the help!

Best wishes,

Darin

What's the difference between charter and just a normal subscriber?

Ayup, looks like I'm going to have to join the list.

I subscribed to Pathfinder and ordered the player's guide - only shows that I'm getting the player's guide. Can I get a nifty Pathfinder Subscriber tag too?

Paizo Employee Director of Sales

Big D, Max,

To get the "Pathfinder Charter Subscriber" tag, you will need to create an ongoing, month-to-month subscription to Pathfinder before the first volume ships out in August. Which means, that you two will need to set up your subscription in addition to transitioning your remaining Dungeon and/or Dragon issues.

Eyebite,

You've got the "Charter" tag, so you are all set up. :)

Thanks,
cos

How do you tell if you have the "charter" tag? Just signed up, hopefully not too late.

OK, nevermind, I guess the label by my name would be the answer...thanks!

Ah, of course. Well, hopefully, I'll subscribe on a month-to-month basis sometime in the near future, but immediately, I am unable to.

Thanks for the answer.

I tried to impress my wife with my "Charter Subscriber" title on these message boards but she gave me a look that you can probably imagine, with much eye-rolling and "yeah whatever, when are we going to actually play your D&D game" kind of thing.

Oh well. I like seeing it there anyway. Can't wait for the first Pathfinder to show up!

Hmm. I see the "Charter Subscriber" tag when I type my message, but it doesn't show when I post under this, my preferred pseudonym. Can that be fixed?

Sorry, the subscriber tags only get attached to the main profile, not to aliases.

Thanks,
cos

Hmm, I thought I would simply fix that and make this my account name instead of an alias (I didn't understand the implications when I set this up). But it won't let me change my account name to that because the name is "taken." So...I tried to delete this as an alias and couldn't seem to pull that off either. *grrr*

Is there any way the great powers that be could make this my official name and not an alias? I could bribe you with shiny good-good...

That, I can do.

You'll note that your alias's name is now "Kelvar Silvermace2" because I had to change it to something. You can change that at your leisure.

:)

Sweet! You guys are the best!

Oh, and, um, that shiny good-good will arrive in four to six weeks.
;-)

I'm confused. Let me get this straight. If I sign up for a month-to-month Pathfinder subscription, I will be a Charter Subscriber and get the player's guide. Then let's say I either decide I don't like Pathfinder or can't afford it. I can cancel the subscription and will not be charged for any further issues correct?

You are correct! As long as you cancel before we physically ship a volume out, the cancellation will be immediate.

It's been a while since I did the transition and see that I am not a 'Charter' subscriber. I do have Pathfinder listed as a subscription. Should I be a Charter Subscriber?

Thanks.

Hi Big Bucket,

To become a Charter Subscriber, you would have to purchase an ongoing subscription to Pathfinder in addition to your converted volumes from your transition choice.
