Savage Tide Adventure Path

I know that people have had some pretty strange occurances, with the Savage Tide Adventure Path, I think the strangest so far for the group, was that Tavey took up with the parties, Duskblade, who is usually really quiet even amongst her own party, but decided to take him under her wing, after he constantly, followed her around asking her how she did this and how she did that, everyone in the group thought for certain that she'd flip out and yell at him, but she's been coaxing him.

Dang. That entire thing is one sentence.

Hey!

I am not an english major I am a gamer heh.

I'm both, but that sentence was nothing compared to the brutal manglings I saw my fellow "english majors" produce hoping to wow an "A" from professors who are, shall we say, less than impressed with verbal gymnastics.

To Quote Dr. Nash:
"Wait, do you hear that? No, of course you don't. You're too busy speaking to notice the sound of the English language screaming in agony."

Hey, if it's good enough for Charles Dickens....

Angelic, I've seen and been party too similar character moments. I got to play a bad-ass wizard prodigy once who had a thing for the underdog and hated the gods for toying with mortal lives. Most clerics were by default considered slaves, tools, enablers, propaganda machines, co-conspirators, or the enemy to his mind. I figured I would let the rest parties actions determine whether he went bad near the end of the campaign or moved toward good. Let's just sayit was a mixed bag until he saved this young slave girl from a city of evil when everyone else was willing to let the situation slide.

well, this sounds like it may be interesting...

first off, the party composition:

Human Ranger (Hiro)
Human Warmage (Aly)
Human Cleric (forgot name)
Human Bard (forgot name)
Dwarf Monk (Redgar)
Changeling Rogue/Psion (Z)

now, we've been playing in eberron for some time, so this was a bit of a departure. so, as a compromise w/ my players, i allowed changelings, shifters, and the general feats from the ECS.

funny thing is, the only ones to take them were Z and the Bard.

So, in the 1st adventure, the party has to get to the Nixie, and "rent" boats by hiring some hookers and then saying to the fishermen "we've got hookers and gold!". needless to say, they left the boats, which were promptly stolen by the party. the dwarf, meanwhile, was not paying attention to what was happening and thought he was "renting" the boats.

after explaining to him that no, the fishermen are NOT on the boats, and neither are your hookers, his answer was to get MORE hookers, a cask of ale, and set out after the rest of the party.

so he pulled up to the nixie while Z swum around and snuck aboard, yelling "beer and hookers!"

they didn't let them aboard, and shot the dwarf a couple of times when he clambered aboard. i laughed. a lot.

later on, while the party is clearing the LD hideout (very sneaky to this point, and had not tripped any alerts yet) they come across the crocodile (advanced to 5 hd to account for the larger party).

the dwarf has convinced the party to take any animal types alive so as to increase his zelkarune's horns affiliation score.

so they take the croc alive, and wild empathy it (with the expediture of most of the ranger's action points) so it's following the party.

they let him eat all the KO'd LD thieves.

finally, the cleric gets crit-sneak-attacked by flanking rogues in the training room ambush, and gets deaded to -11 exactly.

they then decide to send in the croc in the next rooms, including the rhagodessa, zombie, and finally Rowyn's room.

Rowyn was unable to escape, as she was grappled w/o a chance to do much of anything (stupid kick in the door party with a grappling monk) and gut tugger was grappled and being sneak attacked by the rogue/croc combo.

they got EVERYTHING from the LD hideout (with the exception of the docks/ixit. rooms), including rowyn's clothes, gear, and potions. they then left the warmage and rogue/psion in the hideout, with Z dressed and disguised as Rowyn. (disguise check about 28-30 or so).

before setting out for the bullywug gambit they gave Rowyn over to Cletus a local yokel with a whole bunch of dreamlily and the instructions to "keep her alive and knocked out". they also specifically said "i don't care if we find someone who'll rape her."

can't wait for the voyage on the sea wyvern!
