Dungeon 136 Cover

Dungeon Magazine General Discussion

Anyone else notice that the cover to 136 doesn't match the preview in 135?

I really liked the Age of Worms covers; this one's a little weak IMO. Is it true that if you put a drow on the cover of something it sells better? ;)

....especially if it's a muscular bodybuilder drow. I think some of the criticism about all the cleavage on recent covers might have sunk in a bit, so this cover is to counterbalance that with a male. I don't have a problem with the cover--if the PCs ever need a visual of what a drow with an 18 strength looks like, I can pull out that magazine.

Hmm.....cleavage.....sorry, got distracted...oh, I seem to remember that sometimes last minute changes are made to a magazine-I don't recall which editor said that, but I seem to remember that....but maybe it was Newsweek.

As Erik posted on ENworld, the cover sketch wasn't done in time to be previewed in issue #135, so we used a sketch from an interior piece.
