I see some topics twice. I tried to reply to a post and found that the post I quoted was a totally different one that the one I had hit "reply" on. Then when I went back to look, the post that was included in my reply wasn't even posted on that thread.
That same problem is still happening. You reply to a post and it quotes the wrong post.
I was having a heckuva time earlier when a message I posted never appeared... then I tried to rewrite it from memory and they both appeared, one after the other. Then I tried to edit or delete one but the functions didn't work. Then the edit and delete buttons dissappeared altogether. Then they returned and it was too late to edit or delete.
There is a thread about very recent changes to the messageboard called New Messageboard Layout.

Also I can't seem to get to the right place when I try editing (sends me to the first post of a thread), delete (same), or reply (which gives me some other thing to reply to - you seem to be talking about that already). Still if there's anyway I can fix my stupid typing errors I would be glad for the help.

I noticed this bug a while ago, and again earlier today. It occurs whenever you have many threads open at once, and you click "reply" in one thread before finishing your reply in another. In other words, the system always assumes that you're only going to be writing one reply at any given time, and gets confused otherwise.
The solution is to never reply or edit a post while you've still got an edit window open elsewhere. The website should really have been written to account for some people's habit of having many reply windows open at once.
Another bug I find, admittedly minor, is that my preview seems to appear twice above my post! When I write a new post I have two blank previews (for no good reason), and if I hit Preview then I have two not-blank previews.

The double blank previews of posts are strange indeed, but a minor annoyance.
What I find more annoying is the problem with quoting long posts. If I want to quote a longer post, it gets cut off after about four paragraphs. So I hit reply, see that the part of the post I wanted to reply to is cut off, hit the back button and use copy and paste in the reply.

On another forum I frequent, when you quote a post that contains a quote itself, it leaves out that quote. In other words, if David quotes Brian and I quote David, my post will quote what David said but not what he quoted Brian as saying.
The guy who implemented it that way is either and idiot, or genius.

I love Paizo! Your website problems really are a lesson in frustration sometimes. Load drag-times of 30 seconds +, site crashes, damn, come on! I know you guys are techno geeks and all so fix this. I have no other problems with any sites I frequent (barring a rare WotC site down) so WTF? I have 5mb download, I should never have a 45 second to 1 minute load time yet alone the site crashes.
What's wrong?

There are a couple possible explanations. Your post might have been deleted (unlikely, unless you were being a jerk :-). Or the change notification system is on the fritz. (Unfortunately I can't fix that from home.)
The change notification system serves to synchronize important information between the various instances of the website software, as well as our internal tools. If that system isn't working, any given instance may not see all the most recent posts until the cache expires (generally that's about an hour).
You can try to switch instances by relaunching your browser, but your instance is selected at random so there's a one-in-however-many-instances-we're-running chance of getting back on the same one.
