I live in the UK. I'd like to buy Dungeon #123 for the first part of the three-part Shards of Eberron adventure, but to buy it from the website, the shipping would be prohibitively expensive. (I'm also not too impressed at the American international postal service after they lost my $120 shipment of animation cels.)
Is there a more affordable way of obtaining the magazine?

I don't live in the UK but I did visit once so I'll give it a go. Taking into account I don't know where exactly in the UK you live, you might try the following: A bookstore, a comicbook shop, a hobby shop and Ebay. The bookstore might be a longshot - Dungeon isn't carried in most of my local chains here in the Great Lakes (though Dragon is), but maybe you'll be the fifth person to ask them on that day and the manager on duty will consider picking it up. A comic shop might do just as well. A gaming hobby shop, not one that does just trains and RC, might be your best bet if you live close enough to one. Ebay is probably the last resort as I'm sure the few issues that might be floating around out there will end up having a higher end price than the one on the cover, but you might find a seller closer to home than Washington State.
I hope something in there helped,

PS Sorry to hear about the animation cells. What show/movie went missing?

Hi Jonathon,
there are a few specialist places - Travelling Man is great, and Legend Games - both sell on line, however - the Place for Games do a first rate and very reasonable subscription service so you'll get every issue early. I've used their service for 2 years and never found a fault with it.

I could not find Dungeon 123 at the website you provided, and as you can see from my name, I already have a subscription. The flaw is that my subscription only began at #125, and while my local newsagent turned out to have #124 in stock (letting me get in on this Adventure Path(tm) despite having missed the previous one), I still don't have #123. I have been unsuccessful at finding it on eBay.

Does 'Forbidden Planet' carry them? It's been a long time since I've been in one, like a decade, but I thought they had some gaming stuff. I've been in the one at Nottingham and I know there was a big one down in London, but I don't know if there were any other locations. Just a thought in case you want to look for other back-issues.

There is probably a space in the address below, but ebay is currently selling issues 122, 123, and 124 for $5.99 USD right now through tomorrow. The seller is in the States, but he looks like he takes Paypal and ships international upon request.

If this address doesn't work just do a search for "Dungeon 123" on ebay.
If that doesn't work, you can have mine for free. All you will have to do is pay for myself and a friend's airfare and a week's hotel accomidations so I can give it to you. All first-class of course. ;)

I can recommend "The Place For Games" suggested above - I placed an order for back issues over the weekend (so they wont have got it until Monday morning) and my back issues arived today, postage was only £1.80 on 3 issues.
I'd suggest contacting them to see if they'll take a cheque (or maybe even a Postal Order) or failing that asking somebody to pay by Visa for you. I suspect that very few online retailers will accecpt Paypal or Electron and that if these really are your only means of payment then you are really going to struggle to get the goods you want.
