*drools* Less than 9 hours until Overload....

Do we have an ETA on when Overload will be released? I feel like a little kid on Xmas - expecting my present (Overload) to be ready & waiting under the tree (Posted online) first thing in the morning. Just hoping we could get an idea when we can tear of the wrapping paper (download it) and begin playing with it.

Personally, I'm just thankful that we get these online enhancements at all. It's something the magazine doesn't have to do. I look forward to the enhancements each month though, especially the AoW ones. This extra effort from Dungeon staff is what keeps me confident that I will continue to renew my subscription for Dungeon again and again.

Rooster

Kudos Rooster ... I agree whole-heartedly!!!!!!!!

Does that mean no AoW overload-overloaded, awww shucks:)
Bye-bye posting board!

Heh, the ETA of today is only a theory as best I can tell. So don't expect the present today. Be surprised and happy if it shows up, but don't expect it.

It is beginning to worry me that the Dungeon staff has been pretty silent of late on this thread. Maybe they got sick of the bellyaching here, but the old adage of "no news is good news" doesn't always apply. I'm still holding out hope for the Overload today, but it's waning.

p.s. not a complaint, just a downer

That's weird, when I was looking for this thread this morning it was buried all the way on the bottom of the page. For some reason the "date last posted" is blank or something. Anyone else see this? Hello?

Well, got some bad news, everyone. Overload isn't going to be available today. The ETA for the PDF is still "As Soon As Possible." Which is looking like sometime next week.

AAA were is it! Only a bit more time and this thread will die! Die a slow brutal and painful death. And i cant wait to see all the hard work your slave kobald work force and staff but into this.

P.S. I've been camping by my computer for days!

Would it be possible for the Overview to be posted to the forum? I've got a lot of work to do for 3 Faces, I'd like to begin as soon as possible.

(by Overview, I mean the cliffnotes of the rest of the series.)

Hahahahahahahahahaha. Saw it coming. I'm reminded of the days when I was a beta tester for the MMORPG Shadowbane which was suppose to go gold "quite soon" and took 3 years.

I just died a little inside ... :)

By Thursday would be sweet. If not, oh well.

Peace and smiles :)

I'm just glad you guys provide free stuff. It's a reason I re-subscribed after several years. I'm very happy you are including an outline of each adventures plot. It really tipped my desicion to run the campaign. Good work guys.

This should still work out really well. I have my daughter for a solid week from next Wednesday night on, so I should have some time to read through this (hopefully) when it finally releases, before I start running the first session with her and my step kids.

Here's hoping it's out by Wednesday.

At the rate of posts coming in, this thread will never ever die, but It will be about a month before I do TFoE, so I would definitly prefer if you took your time for the quility of it.

Hey that is OK! I would prefer a Quality supplement.

Have finished DMing Whispering Cairn for my group and am going to be starting 3FoE tonight so here is to hoping Overload will be out before next saturday night hehehee if not oh well i'll just keep winging it like I have been.

and yes I am proud to be a female gamer ;-)

That's actually the thing that's holding it all back. I have a very detailed outline of the campaign for the authors, but it focuses a lot on specific setting and monster and plot details of the individual adventures. I'm trying to cull out the backstory and provide a short module synopsis for each of the twelve adventures, and it's like pulling teeth.

The goal is to finish this weekend with an eye toward delivery late this upcoming week.

I greatly appreciate everyone's patience. The one cool thing about the delay is that it means we'll get to pack the Overload PDF with tons more art, as concept images are pouring in by the week.

Small comfort, I know. I'm working on it. :)

Eric,
Just my opinion, one lone person, but as far as I am concerned, it can be pictureless, if it is of the quality of Whispering Cairn. Now, on to what I really would love, and that is a corrected page as to the tactics of the Hextorites in TFoE. The siddebar is way off. I can figure it on my own, but would really like to run it the way that the designer saw fit. The room numbers are all wrong, as to who does what. As for Overload, I am out of the GM chair for 2 more weeks, so I am not in a super big hurry, although since I am playing this month, not GMing, I have read TFoE about 4 times.

No no no no no! Me likes da art! My players really love the pics as hand-outs, and for that matter so do I, especially if we just get them because they don't take much effort to add in.

I will also raise the mug in salute. My current group is all male, and while they are great roleplayers, in the groups where we were joined by female gamers they usually brought a fresh perspective and a wonderful sense of 'role'playing rather than 'roll'playing.

I predict the 26th. Who else wants to get in on this bet? Only 1 gp...

Peace and smiles :)

I'm pretty patient about these things. My group tends to move at a glacial pace, but they've managed to get all but the last room of the dungeon and are on their way to the farmhouse. from there, the tower shouldn't take too long, so it'd be nice if it could be completed before my next game. Not sure when that would be, since because of work we're on a variable schedule.

I would not count on that! ;-) In our case the players particularly enjoyed the roleplaying around capturing Filge, questioning him and then bringing him to the keep for trial (they do not trust the local authorities, so they passed him on to the waterdhavian/free city soldiers). The observatory story was short, but the follow up in town has been taking a full session.

Since one of them is from the temple of Tyr/Heironeous, I will let him lead the prosecution against the necromancer. I hope that I will manage to keep things short, but we will see.

Marry me.

Wow some of you are just strait nerds. In all but one of my campaigns have I had less than half female players over the last 18 years. And though they are not supermodels they all have been pretty "hot" too, you just got to let them know you really like to "Roleplay."

Ohh and Thanks Dungeon Staff for keeping us infromed about the progress, unlike the DDOnline developers.

Sovereign Court

So far I think the AoW is great and my players apreciate it too, though one of my more knowledgable greyhawk players caught onto the wind dukes pretty fast. As far as the download goes...hey take the time to make it good. For those who are impatient, just run your group on a couple of in town side treks...there's plenty to do in Diamond Lake, especially for CREATIVE DM's

Bah! I'm a subscriber, I'll get it all anyway, so just send everything NOW! Email me if you want! :-p

Has it been said anywhere what all is supposed to be in the Overload? Mostly I need a few ideas on Eberron conversion, specificly how to tie in a kalashtar psion (telikineticsist I believe).

Didn't Erik Mona give discriptions of the druidic lodge and the midnight monestary in a post somewhere? I've got a shifter ranger that will probably at least have conections with the lodge and any info would realy help out.

YO! Great work so far! As far as i am concerned, take as much time as you need to get things the way you want. I will be smart and wait for the needed resources before starting the campaign. All the hard work is appreciated, and thank you for going the extra distance with the web resources.

Check out the Web Enhancement for Dungeon #124. I believe there are notes there for Kalashtars.

Yep. The Backdrop of issue #124 and the loose ends to tie from the Whispering Cairn do provide a lot of tips on how to keep your players busy until the next bit.

Just wanted to say, thanks for all of the effort! Stuff like this keeps me buying the magazine. Great support from you guys.

Not offended in the mildest. I do tend to be arrogant. I'm just aware of that. ;)

I like your reply! Well worded sir. No, most gamers tend a have a bit or arrogance and a lot of tomfoolery! It is what makes them so much fun to game master (DM).

Skylark, I raise a mug to you! You took the word right out of my mouth. I agree. Erik, thanks for all you hard work as Editor. You have a thankless job I see. But, know, even when we gripe, we like what you are doing.

And Dreeya, kudos for being a female gamer. There should be more like you:)

Bah. The whole world doesn't revolve around me. I just don't care about the part that doesn't.

22nd's the day!!! I bet 20gp... ;)

Ok, has there already been an info about HOW MANY PAGES the Overload will contain?
10? 12? 25? 100? I wouldn't mind 200 (to be sure to have all the art in it ;)

316 pages; including
- 32 pages of new art by Todd Lockwood
- complete floorplans for each and every building of Diamond Lake
- a 64 page sidequest adventure called "That Which Lurks Below the Lake"

Will Overload contain stats for the staff at the Emporium? And if yes, would it be too much trouble for someone at the Dungeon staff to copy/paste it here? Zalamandra and Kurlag at the least.. as I am running the Devil Box tomorrow and in case they opt for a less diplomatic solution, those stats would be handy..

Aren't stats available in the Worm Food section of Dragon 333 or 334? Not sure my as my locl comic store doesn't have them :(

Is there a reason why the "Age of Worms OVERLOAD" link is gone from Dungeon's front page? I was finding its constantly changing ETA humorous.

LOL. Ya, I originally scheduled that notice to disappear today thinking...

Well, anyway, I put it back since the PDF is not ready yet.

Err... are you just kidding, or do I have to simply fall of my chair right now if this is true?!

Where do you get this info from???
