I'd love to see a few more pages of each issue devoted to showcasing the great artwork we see in your magazine and in various D&D products. Maybe you could feature a specific D&D artist (Current, past, upcoming?) each month?
This would be pretty cool if you did a short interview with said artist and gave them a section for them to share any unpublished art (sketches, unused game art) they had. Heck, maybe you could even do a monthly centerfold/mini-poster featuring a piece of art from the featured artist.
Another thing that might be cool is a "Share your character art" section where readers could submit a piece of art featuring one of their characters. Granted, you'd only print the best looking ones (Stick-figure Barbarian figther man might not work). Who knows, maybe the next great D&D artist could be discovered from your magazine?
Just a thought. :)

One of my favorite features of magazines like Wizard is the fan art. It's always fun to see what people are up to, as there are a lot of talented artists who are also D&D fans and players (in fact, I used to run a 3E game that included the illustrious Todd Lockwood).
So, everyone should feel free to submit fan art. I'll talk to Matt and Erik and the other folks about setting up an area in the letters column to showcase the best fan art of the month, and we'll set up an address to email or snail mail your submissions.

I think that this would definitely increase my appreciation for the magazine. Great artwork can be incredibly inspiring, and having something in the mag besides the coverart would be wonderful. Cover art is great, however, sometimes you can really miss the picture with the title, article blurbs, and other bits covering sections of the picture.
I would like to add my vote for Larry Elmore, and add Di Terlizzi (sp?)
