Can this be FAQ'd, please with respect to Combat Reflexes in the surprise round?

Please FAQ this question so it gets this issue resolved.
I GM'd this module about weeks ago and really liked how one of the players passed the entire Act 2: The Underdocks solo with no combat. She was a Ninja that disguised herself as a Katyia from Act 1. She was able to bluff her way pass the guards, convincing them she worked for The Consortium. She even was able to Slight of Hand the leather-bound manifest log as they left the bunker.
These poor guards have too low a Sense Motive and Perception...but was fun for everyone at the table.

I cast Vanish and move to the base of the tower. I then Slumber the dog and then move to the base of the tower. Next I Cackle and make a readied action to Slumber the first enemy I see.
Well lucky for us the BBEG peeked over the edge and my Slumber landed. The BBEG then failed a reflex save and fell next to me. The Cleric then finished him off.

Suggestions?

To Venture Captain Eric Brittain, et al., in Absolom on this 1st day of Rova, 4712;
Greetings and salutations. I am writing you this writ to ask for your guidance on an unusual purchase I will be making, a Riding Dire Bat.
Ultimate Equipment 82
Dire Bat, Riding:
Considered to be the fastest nonmagical transport in cavernous
underground realms, dire bats (Bestiary 30) are domesticated in
captivity to serve as riding animals. Stables that accommodate
these massive creatures are only commonly found in cities
built in larger underground caverns, owing to the greater
space required for training and exercise, though the outriders
of some subterranean races fly them almost to the surface.
These creatures require exotic saddles to ride.
This creature is quite large and has an usual appetite for "non-traditional feed." Can the Society arrange for special stables for such creatures between missions? Are there any special arrangements that will need to be made to accommodate such a large creature during missions?
Your guidance on this matter would be appreciated.
May Magdh's foresight and wisdom guide your way.
Signed Merimax the Fortuneteller
P.S. Henry very much enjoyed that large grub you fed him the last time we were in Absolom.
The rules do not currently allow for the selling of Vanities for any monetary value. If we decide to allow such, we'll explicitly say how it works in a future version of the campaign rules.
As for Harmor's extensive list, I just wanted to point out that none of the Prestige Awards from Inner Sea Magic are legal for Pathfinder Society play as per the Additional Resources, just so there's no confusion.
Ooops...forgot about that source. I don't think the original OP was asking for gold values for selling the businesses or property, but just selling them back at 1/2 the PP.
Please consider allowing the selling of property and business vanities (PFS is getting more deadly as it is and anything that helps keep characters around longer I'm for).

Prerequisites: Aura class feature, ability to cast summon monster.
Benefit: When using summon monster to summon creatures whose alignment subtype or subtypes exactly match your aura, you may cast the spell as a standard action instead of with a casting time of 1 round.
--
I assume when you summon any creature with as "asterisk" next to its name that its Celestial and thus matches your alignment, NOT your diety's?
Basing this spell off of Gaseous Form and the monster special ability Amorphous (Ex), "the creature’s body is malleable and shapeless. It is immune to precision damage (like sneak attacks) and critical hits."
Casting Time 1 standard action
Components S, M/DF (a bit of lard)
EFFECT
Range touch
Target willing corporeal creature touched
Duration 2 min./level (D)
Saving Throw none; Spell Resistance no
The subject and all its gear become an amorphous malleable and shapeless blob. Its material armor (including natural armor) becomes worthless, though its size, Dexterity, deflection bonuses, and armor bonuses from force effects still apply. The subject gains DR 10/slashing or piercing and becomes immune to precision damage (like sneak attacks) and critical hits. It can't attack with weapons or cast spells with verbal, somatic, material, or focus components while in amorphous form, but can grapple. This does not rule out the use of certain spells that the subject may have prepared using the feats Silent Spell, Still Spell, and Eschew Materials. The subject also loses supernatural abilities while in gaseous form. If it has a touch spell ready to use, that spell is discharged harmlessly when the amorphous form spell takes effect.
An amorphous creature can't run, but it can climb at a speed of 10 feet and automatically succeeds on all Climb skill checks. It can pass through small holes or narrow openings, even mere cracks, with all it was wearing or holding in its hands, as long as the spell persists. It also can't manipulate objects or activate items, even those carried along with its amorphous form. Continuously active items remain active, though in some cases their effects may be moot.

Normally you can't cast, but this spell has a casting time of 1 standard action:
Surmount Affliction:
School abjuration; Level cleric/oracle 2, inquisitor 2
CASTING
Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S
EFFECT
Range you
Target personal
Duration 1 round/level
DESCRIPTION
You temporarily overcome one harmful condition. This does not end the effect causing the condition; it just suspends that condition’s effect for the duration of the spell. You can surmount any one of the following conditions: blinded, confused, dazed, dazzled, deafened, fatigued, frightened, paralyzed, shaken, or sickened.
Benefit: You gain a +2 bonus on Sense Motive checks, and you can deal piercing damage with your unarmed strikes. While using the Snake Style feat, when an opponent targets you with a melee or ranged attack, you can spend an immediate action to make a Sense Motive check. You can use the result as your AC or touch AC against that attack. You must be aware of the attack and not flat-footed.
Normal: An unarmed strike deals bludgeoning damage.
I'm a little confused by how to use this feat and would like some clarifications on my misunderstandings:
1) Does this feat work like Mounted Combat for a single attack?
2) When you make an Immediate action to deflect an attack do you have to do it BEFORE the attack is resolved since it says, "...when an opponent targets you...". (E.g. A creature is doing a Claw-claw-bite attack so you declare before you want to deflect the bite attack only, not just the one that misses you and THEN you roll)
3) If you roll your Sense Motive check, with the +2 bonus, but its lower than your current AC or touch AC do you need to take the lower result since it says, "...you can use...", and doesn't say "...you must use...".
4) Is the +2 bonus to Sense Motive checks untyped?
5) If you have the Snake Style active already can you use the +2 bonus to your Sense Motive checks vs. Feint?

Situation: A character was at -3 Hit points and they had a Bleed effect from a Rogue that sneaked attacked them earlier. Another character casts Stabilize on them.

1) Some of my players have interpreted the "control mount in battle" option as referring only to battlefield mass combat scenarios, not to ordinary mounted combat, arguing that the devs conspicuously chose the word "battle," rather than "combat" in that part of the skill entry. I disagree, and the Mounted Combat section beginning on page 201 of the core rulebook seems to support my opinion that this is supposed to apply to any combat situation, not just mass combat. I'm just curious if anyone else has interpreted it the way my players did (and I suspect the main reason they were arguing that point is because they didn't want to have to spend 300 gp for a combat-trained mount).
That's mincing words. Its meant to me combat, such as when the creature or your are being attacked or treatended.
Nightwish wrote:
2) Is there an actual rule that governs when a mount will rear or buck, especially if they've taken damage? Or is this something that is left entirely to DM's discretion (not that I have any problem with that)?
When you fail your ride check to control a mount in combat I would think this assumes your mount is being unruly and requiring your full attention to control. There are no rules that I'm aware of that require you to make a new Ride check when your mount is damaged, but there is a +2 to the DC for Handle Animal checks.
Core Rulebook wrote:
This task involves commanding an animal to perform a task or trick that it knows. If the animal is wounded or has taken any nonlethal damage or ability score damage, the DC increases by 2. If your check succeeds, the animal performs the task or trick on its next action.
You don't make a separate roll when making a Ride check during combat so no increase in the Ride skill check.
You could House Rule rolling a natural 1 or missing a check by more than 5 results in the mount bucking you off them?
At low levels its great, but in the mid levels I find that my self buffs eat up the first round or two of combat. I find unless we start the encounter at 200-feet the party closes into melee too fast (this are for your 1/min per level buffs).
You're thinking, why not Entangle? Yeah that's works great against Giants; seems like everything has a strength in the mid 20s.
Stone Call is great (to stop those charging creatures).
Maybe I shouldn't rely on spells, but getting Lead Blades + Vital Strike is a great combo.
Without Precise Shot that means the first round at least one caster is summoning something into melee...so there goes trying to use ranged.
Don't get me wrong, when an enemy is running away from you its great using that Efficient Quiver + Quick Draw + Rapid Shot Javalins into their back, but very situational.
With money short I have to focus on my melee weapon because I use it like 80/20 right now so I can't justify a beefy bow (other than a high strength damage bow).
I'm at level 9 now and entering the high levels with this build. I'll report back later.
