Do you keep your Inquisitor Bane when you use Throw anything?

Melee weapon was thrown at a target.

I'd imagine so. I can't think of any rules that prevent his off the top of my head anyway, although someone might prove me wrong. Sounds like a fun trick!

I'd have to say no. According to the RAW, the Inquisitor has to be holding (wielding) the weapon for bane to function.

We might need an FAQ to clear this up!

I think the question would also apply to any thrown weapon except shuriken.

I hit the FAQ. Tom has a point, but then don`t Flaming Daggers also only function when you are wielding them?
My 2c are on it working, but it isn`t clear per RAW.

I'd like to see inquisitors use Bane on thrown weapons and even ranged attacks.

FYI - Duh. I just now realized there was an FAQ button! Thanks for the heads up. :-P

I dunno about thrown weapons since the ability says they have to be wielded, but it most certainly DOES work with other ranged weapons such as bows and crossbows.

I would say you wielded the weapon when you threw it and would allow it.

Also, since it implies the Bane keeps running if the weapon is "dropped or taken", I would assume it wouldn't if you gave the weapon up voluntarily.

You could also argue that the thrown object is actually ammunition for your hand, and you are applying the Bane to your hand.

That's how I would interpret it.

Reminder: Please FAQ the original post to help get an official answer.

Think I'll necro this thread instead of starting a new one. I'm also wondering if this would apply to thrown splash weapons.
