For those wondering if there will be subscriptions, they've been such a large part of Paizo's business model that I can't imagine them not offering one or more subscriptions for Starfinder. They may not have finalized all the details yet, but I'm sure they are hard at work on it. Give them time guys, they've only just opened up the preorders.
So, somebody made an occultist so I made a psychic instead. Note that Hero Lab doesn't recognize psychic caster classes for Mystic Past Life so I'm not using that. Besides the reborn discipline does something similar. crunch:

Background:
Originating from Vudra, Masha grew up in a small community of samsarans dedicated to the worship of Irori. Unlike most of her community Masha had little skill or interest in traditional martial arts, but she did have considerable ability in the areas of mind and spirit from an early age, which blossomed into psychic talent as she matured.
Upon reaching maturity, she felt called to travel and experience new things. Upon reaching Numeria and seeing her first technological ruin she immediately felt that this was the kind of experience she had been searching for. She became fascinated with such places and desired to learn more. Not long after that she found her way to the town of Torch where she met, and befriended the wizard Konnir Baine, who became her mentor in technological matters. She stayed in Torch for some time, before journying elsewhere, but maintained communication with Konnir, writing of what she saw on her travels. She was concerned when he did not write for some time and has returned to Torch to find him missing. Though she suspects he is dead, she feels compelled to search for him to confirm his death, and find out what he was investigating. Appearance and personality: Appearance:
A standard Samsaran with blueish skin, black hair, and pure white eyes, Masha doesn't care about her appearance much, wearing her hair in a simple bun and wearing plain clothing. Personality:
As an actual female gamer I appreciate the move away from using "Whore queens" as their official name. And yes, just because the technology level is medieval doesn't mean the society has to be the same as Earth's medieval period. Pazio has never hewn close to actual medieval culture and that's a good thing.
I used the UC background generation but mostly as a jumping off point. anyway here is my character Crunch:

Background: A native of Eastern Perrenland, from a small village of farmers and hunters near the Vesve forest, Briena has one older brother named Orren. Briena showed a strong knack with animals and nature from an early age, and drew the attention of the local druids of the Old Kerk who initiated her into their fellowship. The druids have been working against the influence of the Empire of Iuz in the forest, in co-operation with the local elves as the Empire doesn't respect it. The young druid has traveled to the city of Greyhawk, seeking allies against the empire, or failing that, enough money and reknown to attract them. Appearance:
Personality:
also I know very little about the setting, so the background was largely "read pages on Perrenland and the forest in gazetteer, throw stuff together, make up excuse for character to be in the city". If anything is wrong and needs fixing let me know.
I kind of suspect Starfinder may serve as a prototype for Pathfinder 2.0 and its success might influence how soon we get a Pathfinder 2.0. Personally I'm okay with Pathfinder as is, but I could see the benefits of divorcing it from some of the more questionable elements of 3.5 mechanics. As long as they don't torch half the setting between editions (*cough*Spellplague*cough*
