I wanna play a Caligni in this. Seems appropriate with the Azlant focus.

Masha would probably have at least met in passing any locals.

I'm confused why some people are apparently surprised about aboleths being in an AP connected with Azlant, given the fact the aboleths have been connected with Azlant from the start.

this is why a dedicated guard animal ought to have the "exclusive" trick, to prevent shenanigans.

For those wondering if there will be subscriptions, they've been such a large part of Paizo's business model that I can't imagine them not offering one or more subscriptions for Starfinder. They may not have finalized all the details yet, but I'm sure they are hard at work on it.

Give them time guys, they've only just opened up the preorders.

I'd like to see some alternate racial traits that make elemental races better at elemental things besides sorcerer bloodlines, like the keneticist as people have said.

I usually prefer PDFs but I am mega hyped.

I need to finish POE, I like it but I got distracted. I'm terrible at finishing games.

24. Publicly turned down sex with Calistria, got ganked in revenge.

I suspect the wording is left over from 3.5 when all methods of raising the dead got you one negative level. When they changed the spell to give an extra negative level they forgot to change the wording.

Probably 2nd level characters should either get the -2 con or one negative level and -1 con.

So, somebody made an occultist so I made a psychic instead.

Note that Hero Lab doesn't recognize psychic caster classes for Mystic Past Life so I'm not using that. Besides the reborn discipline does something similar.

Background:
Originating from Vudra, Masha grew up in a small community of samsarans dedicated to the worship of Irori. Unlike most of her community Masha had little skill or interest in traditional martial arts, but she did have considerable ability in the areas of mind and spirit from an early age, which blossomed into psychic talent as she matured.

Upon reaching maturity, she felt called to travel and experience new things. Upon reaching Numeria and seeing her first technological ruin she immediately felt that this was the kind of experience she had been searching for. She became fascinated with such places and desired to learn more. Not long after that she found her way to the town of Torch where she met, and befriended the wizard Konnir Baine, who became her mentor in technological matters. She stayed in Torch for some time, before journying elsewhere, but maintained communication with Konnir, writing of what she saw on her travels. She was concerned when he did not write for some time and has returned to Torch to find him missing. Though she suspects he is dead, she feels compelled to search for him to confirm his death, and find out what he was investigating.

Appearance and personality:
Appearance:
A standard Samsaran with blueish skin, black hair, and pure white eyes, Masha doesn't care about her appearance much, wearing her hair in a simple bun and wearing plain clothing.

Personality:
Calm by nature, Masha doesn't tend to show a great deal of emotion, save for her ever present curiosity about the world. Though not reckless, she doesn't have much fear for her physical safety, figuring that death is just another step on her soul's eternal travels. She knows that most people don't see things that way and is sympathetic to their fears. She admires the skills of martially inclined individuals, as long as said skills are applied with a degree of mindfulness.

you know I'm super tempted to submit my Caligni spirtiualist, in spite of the fact that I've been planning to save her for the Ruins of Azlant AP.

Or you know, I could try to hammer this elven occultist into shape...

367. Chaotic Good TWF with scimitars Drow Noble Rangers who are totally not ripoffs of you know that guy.

As an actual female gamer I appreciate the move away from using "Whore queens" as their official name.

And yes, just because the technology level is medieval doesn't mean the society has to be the same as Earth's medieval period. Pazio has never hewn close to actual medieval culture and that's a good thing.

I'd like to play an unusual race if you would be cool with that. And maybe an occult class.

so interested!

dotting.

Note that there are I think multiple special racial abilities (from the table in BoA) for Aasimars that say basically "you are immune to being turned into an undead creature" which indicates that they usually are not immune, even though regular outsiders are.

Sweeeet!

Most of the Adventure Paths go to level 20 (except Council of Thieves I think). The Rise of the Runelords boxed set PDF version can be had for 41 dollars.

Oi you forgot my druid!

Also I'm sure lots of people who are playing 5E are also playing Pathfinder. Funnily enough people can play more than one thing. Shocking I know.

I used the UC background generation but mostly as a jumping off point.

Background and stuff:

Background:
A native of Eastern Perrenland, from a small village of farmers and hunters near the Vesve forest, Briena has one older brother named Orren. Briena showed a strong knack with animals and nature from an early age, and drew the attention of the local druids of the Old Kerk who initiated her into their fellowship. The druids have been working against the influence of the Empire of Iuz in the forest, in co-operation with the local elves as the Empire doesn't respect it. The young druid has traveled to the city of Greyhawk, seeking allies against the empire, or failing that, enough money and reknown to attract them.

Appearance:
A typical ethnic Flan with dark brown hair worn in a simple braid, brown eyes, and bronzed skin. She wears practical clothing with little adornment designed to endure rough living.

Personality:
Briena a devoted follower of the Old Kerk of Perrenland, particularly the goddess Beory, she is fiercely protective of the natural world. Though a kind person, she has never left the vicinity of the village she grew up before, so she has a little bit of trouble dealing with people from different backgrounds.and can come off as bit lacking in social skills.

also I know very little about the setting, so the background was largely "read pages on Perrenland and the forest in gazetteer, throw stuff together, make up excuse for character to be in the city". If anything is wrong and needs fixing let me know.

I'd say a monkey ought to be able to hold a pen at least well enough to write, though they may have poor handwriting.

Animals lacking opposable thumbs probably cannot write with a pen though they should be able to write short messages in the dirt with a stick.

that's for the whole flask, we don't know that it takes the entire flask for the spell.

I kind of suspect Starfinder may serve as a prototype for Pathfinder 2.0 and its success might influence how soon we get a Pathfinder 2.0.

Personally I'm okay with Pathfinder as is, but I could see the benefits of divorcing it from some of the more questionable elements of 3.5 mechanics.

As long as they don't torch half the setting between editions (*cough*Spellplague*cough*

I am also a little displeased about the various forms of magic being combined into one thing. It's not a dealbreaker, but it's a bit less flavourful.

I wanna say I'm hyped to play a Solarion.

and I'm glad the leveled item mechanics is NOT a hard restriction, because it would be super weird and immersion breaking if lower level characters were simply unable to use higher level equipment.

Yeah, horrible colds are no fun at all.

I second the offer of hugs. Been sick myself. Seems like lots of people have been sick everywhere lately. I guess it's just that time of year.

I agree that healing spells should be under Necromancy and I did not even play 2.e I just like the flavour better that way.

3 people marked this as a favorite.

I agree with "make celestial healing less terrible". At the least the fact that it does nothing at CL 1 should be addressed.

CHOO CHOO!

I assume if it was cancelled/postponed they'd have said something.

so now I have to come up with a reason for my druid to be in the city.

Interested. Just to clarify, I rolled for starting gold since you didn't specify, is that OK?

Congrats guys.

Chronicles of Darkness is the New New World of Darkness.

Personally I like having Light be at will, it reduces the need to book-keep over "Do we have any torches left"?

Having to leave the dungeon because you ran out of torches is lame.

so we have two mesmerists submitted now, if we both get in it will probably be necessary to co-ordinate closely on spell and trick selection so we don't overlap too much.

in at 60 for the hero lab files for the original SoP.

Ciyella and her family are Shelynites and definitely interested in art, so she could certainly know Luthor. She'd be pleasantly surprised to find how much they have in common, with their mutual psychic gifts.

well with Pazio PDFs as long as you don't forget your password you can redownload everything.

CONLANGING!!!!!!!! HORSES.

"Drunk dialing Pharasma" was also pretty great.

Congrats to the selected.

I would think that a matter of life and death would take precedence over a little awkwardness, in character.
