Zuberi accepted the blessing and moved along with the others, he had thought it wiser to simply watch everyone’s behavior, he made a mental note of Llvenoc reaction pertaining to Jewel. “I agree some practice would greatly help us all, as well as knowing in what areas one another strengths lay.” he replies to Namaste “My own strengths lay in direct combat, and being of draconic blood I possess a breath attack which hinders those caught in its wake for a moment or two.” he then gives a brief description of the Entangling Exhalation effect. “I also project an aura which augments healing to those whom stay near within 30ft. Its minor but it can keep one from dying. The effect is limited to restoring half one’s health, and thus you can only gain its benefit once you’ve been injured beyond that point.” “I know a trifling bit of magic, but I expect those more capable to provide our arcane arsenal” he adds looking from one person to another.

He then moves to address the bard “from what I’ve seen these past few days you’ve an uncanny ability to hear things beyond ones normal capacity. I can only surmise that there must be others with this unquie ability as well. Thus I’m curious does this ability allow you to toss or should I say project names intentionally? “ “If so, I would ask if you could cast a name of two onto strands of wind in the opposite direction that we are headed to divert any listeners attention away from us as we depart. While descending down the hill Zuberi sees Llvenoc and Caledon speaking with someone new, an Elf in fact, but what draws his attention most is that Namaste is in some form of meditative state. Before reaching the Oracle… As they walked Zuberi spoke with Caledon “what news have you of the group of Greeks that Aeneaus sent to find the Hero named Achilles?” ----------------- he is here; hidden as a servant by his mother; some portent of doom. he is with the servants of the temple disguised as a girl. “His mother? Whom might she be? Is the disguise created by magic? And if so, by whom, his or hers? Is there some disguising feature by which I may recognize this Achilles?”
Zuberi lifted his head slightly and said “Priestess?” the questioning cord clearly ringing through in his voice. He had already asked all he dare to but perhaps her vision was even greater than what he could see in himself. Yes, there was more to ask “If the Emperor Sebastion”, Zuberi began to say as he intentional spoken the name for a varied of reasons, but there were just two main he did so. Fast forwarding… After Acorn had been detained by the Priestess, Zuberi quietly bent down and picked up the throw weapons He remained silent learning all he could, for it’s the silent voice that allows the mind to hear all. When it was appropriate and Acorn had recovered, Zuberi rose and returned her weapons back to her. <elven>“I believe these belong to you, I figured you’d want them back” he says in a polite manner as he offers the weapons to Acorn. “That was an exemplary display of skill you performed. Is there perhaps any chance you would be willing to teach such skill to another? I would be honored to learn such a technique and maneuver. Perhaps when there is more time and war is not at hand we could discuss it further.” he adds warmly</elven>

Zuberi looks at Llvenoc for a moment then as he clasps his offered hand he says "those are words well spoken Llvenoc, words which i can respect. we are in agreement then. If your words match the strenght of light which dwells in your heart then walk and fight by your side you will find me." "let us begin anew as the sun does at dawn." Zuberi then reintroduces himself with a kinder and warmer manner and awaits the same from Llvenoc
Kemnebi looks up, a confused look on his furry face. "Sun god? Temple?!? What do you mea,...? Aw $#@!"
"what's done, is done. Now where is this serpent your so alarmed about" Zuberi ask as he takes a few steps in the general direction of Kemnebi spell and looks about.

Having already failed to spot the serpent, Zuberi calls back "Serpent! What serpent? Where?"
Zuberi had remained silent through the initial greeting as he studied the drow. He was caught up in his own thoughts, wondering how the drow managed to arrive at this place. He finally introduced himself, but to Llvenoc he offered nothing more than stating his name along with a slight disciplined nod. To Namaste it was clear by his mannerism toward her that thou the greeting was more pleasant, it had a bit of hesitation to it. The reasoning for the hesitation was obviously clear as Zuberi glanced from Llvenoc then to Namaste, as if asking an unspoken question. How is it that you come to be paired with a dark one from below? Zuberi stepped back once more and stood silent and observed as the dialog between his companions and the others before him played out.

At this point Zuberi could no longer remain silent and brushed past Astinos as he stepped forward. “With a few words you would smite with insults and then with another word you would speak forgiveness, as if that would remove the insult. You who cometh from the nadir would dare question another’s worth and courage. It’s a wonder how you’ve managed this long to even still be able draw to breath!” Only when Astinos spoke, saying that he took no offense, did Zuberi turn away. It was becoming clear to Zuberi that he had much to learn if he ever hoped to hear the voice of light in his heart.

You ask why I am hear among humans? The answer is simple really. There is no Sun to give us relief from the Ghouls, and the Undead….

It is not for me to say the manner in which your people should live their lives.” With no pretense, its apparent that Zuberi is testing Llvenoc by emulating the drows previous insult.
“What then, what will become of you once your vengeance has been sated? Will you shun the light once more and serve the darkness in blindness?”
“indeed, perhaps he’ll even know of an ideal spot were we all can camp for the evening. Or with a little luck, perhaps Aeneus has already made arrangements for everyone in advance” Zuberi says as he glances at the distant dark storm clouds. “you mentioned your quest having some spiritual significance Kemnebi, are you intending on seeking an audience with the Oracle for guidance? If so, would you mind if I accompanied you? I’ve heard rumors that the Oracle knows all and any may ask their questions.”
Though Zuberi noticed the unnatural stillness of Caledon, he dismissed it and accounted it to a form of self discipline. He also recalled what Astinos had mentioned about Apollo not permitting violence and watching over this place. If there was something to fear from this man it was not to be in this place.
Greetings Nobles; says a dry voice like gravel; I am Caledon; a Seeker of Truth in current service of one that you know and call Pious Aeneus; it is my task to present you and those of your company to those what I have found who are lost sheep among the wolves; who themselves would be the Princes wolves to stalk and tear the flesh from the plans of his enemy. I'm pretty sure cold iron weapons costs +2000 as per Magic item Compendium. Other than that looks great. Look forward to dominating the battlefield alongside you. yep, though this is the weapon from my characters background, Val said to apply the bonuses to a weapon of my choice, which i take it to mean it must be magical.

Raising his voice to it's battle field pitch.., Astinos draws the attention of all in earshot. "Spread the word, this is a temple of Apollo, Lord of the Sun. All who would do violence here will be met with the full power of Olympian fury. Treat your weapons as if peacebonded and your tempers as if chilled. The Sun is high and Lord Apollo is watching"
Zuberi braced himself as he held his greatspear firmly in one hand, his other hand he raised to his brow as he glanced up at the fiery disc that rested in the heavens above. The suns rays of light gleamed across the ring which was fixed on the finger of his lifted hand. He smiled to himself, comforted by the thought of the power that was channeled through the god Apollo. In times like this, the golden hue of Zuberi skin was even more apparent. His scales appeared to shimmer even as they soaked in the sun. “tis good to know that Apollo’s eye will be upon all. A reprieve from the thought of battle is welcomed.”
During the few days of travel Zuberi spends his time getting to know everyone. The nights he spends with the Tuetons as they sing to honor their fallen comrades. The battles they have fought were most interesting and he hoped that he can put their experiences to good use if he were every to encounter such foes. On the last night before their arrival at the Oracle, he managed to arrange a friendly wrestling competition between himself and OGG. As the campfire roared their shadows danced. Thou Zuberi found himself sprawled upon the ground many times over, he believed the event served its purpose. Thou come the morning any aches and pains might say otherwise but Zuberi knew in his heart that such sport was inspiring and good for morale. Zuberi had found himself drawn to the bard simply because they both share a common interest in knowledge and information. Knowledge meant power, power with which one could use to defend against the hordes that were threatening and threading across the various regions. Also it was through the bard that Zuberi presented the challenge to OGG. Zuberi had informed the bard to make it crystal clear that it was a friendly match, meaning that he didn’t want to be concerned with OGG attempting to snap his neck or break his back. Zuberi found himself quite comfortable around Astinos as he represented an ideal that dwelt in him. Zuberi was only an initiate of the Order of Light, But in Astinos, he saw what it meant to be a devote to ones deity. Surely their meeting was no accident as the paladin would serve as the instrument to help Zuberi to truly embraced and entrust in the light within his heart. Once at the encampment and the details with the guards have been ironed out, Zuberi heads off with Astinos (I’m taking it that Zuberi and Astinos are fairly acquainted with one another by now), mingling about while hoping that either Aeneaus contact would approach them or that they would come across the odd mixed looking group by chance. “so Astinos, how difficult would you say it would be to find oranges amongst an orchard of apples” Zuberi asks, making a reference to the group they need to find as the pair moves about.
Hey Val, thxs for the info, I know i have a few judge guild items stored away but i have no idea what they are, so i'll look through it and see what i have. The whole map thing is just so i have a general idea of what's where, where i've/we've traveled etc... So all that added info is really good. In fact I'm going through all the post, including the other characters history/background as you've posted lots of info in there about your world at large. I'm aware that most of that info is not common knowledge but it helps in getting a good feel for what's happened and why its happened, since those things have led to current events. For my character I believe i'm waiting on the remaining info/history/items based on my characters culture/race (Human Egyptian), then I’ll throw in the bonus background skill points to match. the rolls i previously made if needed
