I went to Vegas for the weekend, and forgot to let you guys know. Sorry.

After Zierka enters the room, and sees the beast on the ceiling, she loads her crossbow and prepares to fire.

I assume with the move and the loading of the crossbow, I will have to wait until the next round to fire.

Do we need to roll iniative?

Being at the rear of the group, Zierka is anxious to see what is happening in the other room. Let's all move in if possible. I'd hate to lose someone this early in the game.

Zierka follows the rest of the group and peers around seeing if she spots anything unusual. This dungeon seems to have all manner of strange sights.

Perception 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13

Zierka will take her position at the rear of the group.

I've lost track, what exactly does our party consist of at this point?

I was under the impression it was dead as well.

Zierka moves toward Grandma.

Is everything alright over here?

Zierka leaves the room to investigate the sound she heard.

What is that thing?

That doesn't sound promising

Zierka turns around looking out the doorway.

Initiative 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17

Fortitude 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21

As Zierka steps into the room she slowly scans the room looking for anything unusual.

Perception1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22

Zierka looks with pity on the orcs. Not seeing anything else of interest in the room she moves to the southern door.

"While the orcs do concern me, I agree that it is time to move on. As long as we feel it's safe, let's open the door, and see what's on the other side. I will take the rear as before.

Are we making any changes to the lineup?

I would also be willing to trade in if needed. I would justrework Zierka. Let's get a counting of players/classes, and then a decision can be made.

Zierka is ready, willing, and able.

Get your minds out of the gutter.

Yeah we may not be able to the world's largest dungeon, but we just barely got started, so it should be easy to modify. Hopefully he comes back. I had to abandon a game last year that I was DM'ing and felt awful.

I worried we may have lost or GM. Maybe RL got in the way and we'll get going soon.

That's very strangeSeeing that others have already cast detect magic and are examining the invisible wall, Zierka begins to move around the room looking carefully for any signs of secret doors or other hidden objects.

Perception 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19

Zierka is not sure of the strategy that calls out their location when they seemed unnoticed, but she stands her ground waiting to see what happens.

"Well, there goes the element of surprise." Zierka raises her crossbow at the ready.

Zierka is Grandma's eldest granddaughter.

Zierka waits for all others to enter, and takes her position as rear guard and enters the blackness.

Unimpressed by Dric's impulsiveness Zierka decides to go the other direction.

I will go with the group that goes right. I will take the rear. I can handle myself should an attack come from behind

"Well, once we've determined it's safe to open the doors, we need to decide how to proceed. Do we all go together or do we split up. I for one don't want to travel in such a large group in cramped quarters.

Zierka ponders the info given. She had originally planned to go out into the world at large and leave her family behind. Possibly forever. However, the thought of becoming the matriarch of the family felt suprisingly right. She could bring them out of seclusion and raise them up as respected members of the community. Well, some of them anyway.

She gathers her belongings and steps forward heading into the cave to join her kin.

Perception1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10 Survival1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

Zierka strolls slowly into the cave not sure what to expect. As she gets closer to the light and fire, she recognizes grandpa Ghawn.

"Grandpa. I should have known it was you. You always did have like to put out an air of mystery."

She takes a seat near the fire and listens intently.

Zierka arrives just as the others start to leave. Clearly they weren't expecting her. Easy to understand, since many hadn't seen her in years.

"Hello brothers, sisters, Grandma. I see you all got the same scroll as me. Mind if I join you?"

Dotting for ease of finding.

Zierka had just left the temple about to head to her family home to wish them a final fairwell before setting out in the world, when a scroll appeared before her. She read the scroll with interest.

Hmmm. It's been years since I've been home, I barely remember how to get there. Hopefully one of the others remembers how to get to the old home.

With that she sets off.

Thanks Glawng, it appears I accidentally selected the wrong attribute for my racial bonus. Fixed. As far as my teamwork feats, I'm thinking a mix for me. Precise strike and shielded caster.

I'm thinking Precise Strike and Swap Places.

I'll go with camp 2. The healing witch plus the healing inquisitor should work well together to sub for a full cleric.

As for the cleric situation, we'll eventually need some little used spell to remove some condition and clerics get every spell. Also, that will help in crafting. A Ring of Protection requires Shield of Faith to make. Not having that increases the chance of making a cursed item. Which is quite fun until someone loses a gender.

I can easily modify Zierka to be a Cleric. I was trying to decide between the two classes, and went with Inquisitor mainly because I haven't played one before, but the concept of an Undead Hunter for Pharasma works with a cleric as well. It would just need a couple of tweaks. I'll change it tonight. I use HeroLab, so I'll just make the modifications and save it as a separate file.

@ Jangis

You and Zierka must be twins because you are both claiming to be the oldest. I guess we could leave it as twins, or it could be a bone of contention because our parents were never really clear on who came first.

BTW which teamwork feats should we take? I am leaning toward precise strike, look out, or duck and cover.

I'm at work so don't have access to the teamworks feat. (Somehow we have access to this website, but not the SRD.) BTW I believe we only get 4-6 characters. Any idea what we're at at this point?

Zierka, do you have any qualms with having a shared background with an Oracle of Bones? A distant cousin who also follows Pharasma but due to her vastly obvious Orc heritage has had to spend her time hidden away in crypts to avoid unwanted attention which has left her with the Clouded Vision curse.

No issues here. Basically siblings with opposite experiences based purely on their looks.

a recomendation: GET A CLERIC. you will need it.

I'm pretty sure with the healing domain and "Cure Light Wounds" as a known first level spell, I provide as much healing ability as any cleric.

Does this family have a healer in it. If we are going to be adventuring for a long time, be good to have someone to heal us up and take care of deseases.

That would be me.

Here's my Inquisitor. I used the default gold in HeroLab.
