Someone posted you get the "best line" here for Silverhex Chronicles. I would go with this interpretation, since it looks most reasonable relative to length in comparison to scenarios. For 4 of them, you would get 1 xp 2 fame 2 pp, which is what you'd typically get for a 4 hour scenario.
A bard! A bard! You clearly need a bard. I'm a gonna go human support bard, taking Weapon Focus(Whip) and Dazzling Display at level 1. Hehehe... Oh, wait, I can't do that. Grr... Hold on...more brainstorming coming... Ok, Mirima's big brother Elf Conjurer Wizard it is. Bet Mirima (an alter ego) didn't know she had an older brother. Style...hmm...I'll call him versatile and not totally useless (but, he is level 1, so it'll be close to that).

I think the poster is (jokingly, I assume) questioning the literal -2 CHA, which a character can't legally have. I'm guessing OP copied the modifier instead of the CHA itself, or deleted the number and left the racial modifier. Typo, either way.
Hmm, sounds like there's something Zimti forgot to learn. There is a way for me to act like a level 5 wizard you say? I will have Jenevre the cleric ready for you just in case. Not far from completing but level one combat with lots of people can take a while, as we learned the hard way a couple of combats ago, if the dice decides not to cooperate.
I guess what I am asking is, if Mirima doesn't make it on the 26th, do you want me to: 1) bring Zimti the alchemist
By the way. Merry Christmas everyone!
What Nohwear said - My alchemist Zimti the Uncoordinated freed up as well, but not Mirima (just got into the first round of the last battle). Let me know if you want us to join with the Witch/Alchemist combo to be safe, or if you still want us to assume it's the Barbarian/Wizard? Once we have your decision on the character, I'll hop in. Looking forward to gaming with you!

THAT...IS...AWESOME! Improvised weapon? Warpriest? There's got to be a way to make a switch fighter! You may have just inspired me to my next PFS character.
You have a weird wizard there. I'd be curious how the wizard would do in practice. A few quick hits: 1) He is pretty much guaranteed to go second, if the non-proficient ACP penalty applies to initiative.
It's worth noting the barbarian at level 1 with 24 str probably doesn't have to rely on power attack, with +10 to damage from str alone on a two handed weapon. Still, your wizard is very interesting to me. At level 1, getting AC up is a big bonus, and your build shows that it's possible, if one's willing to accept some situational problems (and going second). Edited to add: LOL, your worst enemy would be a normal wizard with shield and grease spells. That would lock you in place pretty much. He would just need a way to finish you after the setup.
i will actually start at level 1 as a wizard/crafter (i.e. wizard with craft(mechanical), disable device and knowledge(engineering) skills). cleric at level 2, and then bounce between the two depending on the pull... Do the modrons follow the classic hierarchy, whereby communications of i (as a quadrone, I presume) would only be with tridrones and pentadrones, and awareness of i is only with pentadrones and below? (I have some thoughts about i and awareness - I'll send those separately when I have it more fleshed out). I still see i as an "exiled" drone for being "flawed", as analyzed and decided by above. But, now I have some more motivations in mind from three directions: global, factional, and person. They are semi-independent, but I suspect will have both parallel elements and conflicting elements. For ease, feel free to call him Ai (just about how his name would be pronounced), in case i is too difficult a name to use for your compositions.
Lol. I am still interested. I can do once a day and do my best to keep the action rolling. Like I said, I've got 4 hybrid concepts rolling. I'll get one put together and be ready to report in by the time you have it set up tomorrow. Hey DoubleGold, I'm still bummed my ratfolk wizard didn't make your Skulls and Shackles :(. Hope it's going smoothly. Keep me in mind if you ever decide to run another PFS AP (assuming you like my style here :P)
Character concept: i (mordon) A construct who wrestles with the truth beyond facts. Collector of folk lore, parables, analogies and metaphors of various nations. Wizard turned cleric dual class (mythic theurge?) Sadly, while I love this concept, I also know such a person is better served as an NPC or cohort, as he will lag behind in his ability to excel in his "assigned" tasks in a party despite his versatility. I'll be glad to talk to you about who i is. But, as a player, I will be bowing out. Good luck everyone. And, if you run into i someday, say hi to him for me. And don't forget to share a story with him.
The genetic angle is interesting. Let's try the 24d6 pool, to see if something comes of it: STR 3d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 4) = 6
Nice. 7pb. Perhaps try again? STR 3d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 1) = 9
13pb. I'd be glad to play this if there's a group willing to run 20-. Otherwise, I'll try one more (last time, dice) STR 3d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 6) = 16
I can go with either 2 or 3: 9/11/14/15/12/9 or 16/12/11/14/16/10. For now, I'll run with set 3 and go with a melee cleric / warpriest type. If there's a low powered group that wants to run, I can go set 2 and run a wizard concept as well.
Master of the Fallen Fortress
I would like to try any of the above 4 (all for level 1, which is all I have). I don't want to commit to a longer term one, so I want to avoid the super dungeons. I think, with the above 4, there is a real chance the party will take it from beginning to end. I didn't include We Be Goblins because I think that requires we be goblins, and I don't want to be a goblin (yet).
I've got level one's (have four hybrids I want to try, will be glad to pick one and join the party). I'm pretty open, especially the modules. I have not played any of the modules, so they're all good for me. I've only played (or in the process of playing) 5 distinct scenarios so far, so I am pretty flexible, other than I only have level 1 characters.
Here's the crunch on the my dumb as a rock, with the personality to match, Oread Far Strike Monk, in somewhat organized form. Now on to the real question. Why is this lump of rock rolling around in your world? crunch: STR 18 (16, +2 racial) DEX 18 (17, +1 L4) CON 15 INT 6 WIS 18 (16, +2 racial) CHA 6 ( 8, -2 racial) HP 4d8
Oread traits:
Skills
Feats
Monk Abilities:
Or, I declare the gnome to be my intelligent weapon, and enchant him with a +1 and the return ability? Hmm, and he would be dumb as a rock, with charisma to match. This is almost worth trying. Ok, going to table the wizard thing for a moment, and chew on this rock idea for now. Go ahead and put me down for an oread monk. Can I throw rocks or sling bullets as blunt shurikens? Far Strike Monk!!! Oh, Mr. DM! Will you allow it?
How about...someone obsessed with collecting the fabled gear, believing such gear will give him power, and recognition that goes with this power, that will give him proper standing to ask for the princess's hand in marriage. Oh, and if there's a war, he'll fight this war for her sake, too. But the gear. That's what will put him in a position to win her over. Was thinking a variant of Raistlin.
stats: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 2, 3) = 7
17 / 16 / 16 / 15 / 8 / 6 Such dichotomous stats. Will sleep on this and see what concepts come to the fore.
So when it's 1,1,2,5, do you reroll one or two of them? In case you mean ALL ones: roll: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 6, 5) = 21 (16)
So:
That's a good point about the BBEG. By the way, it's Maeron Thurngood. Arandur was the original minor hero from the Great War. Maeron is the descendant and future hero (hopefully).
Rough form of Paladin's Code of Conduct for Maeron Thurngood: Code of Conduct, Cliff Notes: For my peers and allies: I shall endeavor to teach and guide when their motivations and resulting actions are not in alignment with Sarenrae and her tenets. I shall respect their motivations and resulting actions, except where doing so causes me to enter conflict with Sarenrae and her tenets. I shall not coerce or otherwise force them to change, in motivations or in actions, so that they may come to enlightenment of their own choice through understanding. For my enemies:
The instigators of darkness has revoked, through their deeds, the protective light of Sarenrae, and are to be purged from this world. Those that follow the instigators of darkness has similarly revoked said sanctuary. However, leniency may be granted, when such offenders may be given over to authorities for supervision for possible rehabilitation, and when such leniency would not reasonably result in detriment to the down-trodden and to the allies. For the down-trodden:
I shall assist the children wanting for food, water and clothing, for they have a lifetime of efforts yet to contribute to the world. I shall assist the down-trodden, who lacks for ownership and capacity to gain ownership of food, water and clothing. For the ruling classes:
No system overly constraining such access shall hold sway over me as I perform my duties to the down-trodden in the name of Sarenrae. NOTES
Generally, slay the big baddies, slay or capture or redeem the small baddies, guide the allies to light but let them make that choice, help those who can't help themselves to food/water/clothing, and respect the ruling class so long as they behave. Also, please note there are no explicit constraints in manner of warfare. General guidance is to minimize collateral damage to civilians, and avoid causing purposeless pain and suffering to the enemies. Beyond that, war is war, even for Sarenrae. Is this close to what you're envisioning for a paladin? Or am I barking up the wrong tree.
