Gaming, obviously... its only Jersey who would notice a meltdown anyway? (joking BTW) The situation really isn't all that bad, just time consuming for repairs. besides we removed all the fuel to prevent any chance of that happening.

Vic recovers nicely from the bleeding. He still is wounded but no where near as bad as it could be.

vic is not exactly the best at the dwarven language but he dooes is best and definitely shows respect for the dwarven culture in his attempted speech.

it all ok, I tend to be forgotten every so often. When you heal is a little important so I know where I am hp wise. But bleed continues until healed or death.

With the fight over Vic tries to bandage his wounds noticing the bleeding still has not stopped.

but all he ends up doing is wipe the wound down, and the still oozing blood is starting to drip all over the floor.

heal: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (3) - 2 = 1 (-1 HP - at 11 hp)

He stops to take a seat working to stop the bleeding.

do we still keep taking the bleed damage? if so how many rounds has passed?

Vic sitting on the floor where the battle took place continues to work at his bite, the rag is soaked in blood and he struggles to wrap it around his arm. blood dripping out.

heal check next round: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (14) - 2 = 12 (-1 HP at 10 HP)

damn, crap, crap, crap, crap. his arms stars to feel weak, as he struggles more, I don't suppose any of you are a medic? he asks as he tries once more.

heal round 3: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (14) - 2 = 12 (-1 HP at 9 hp)

will stop there in case someone decides to help by now, I thought we would check everyone before moving on, we can always go back and start the after combat part over (no complaints from me on that front considering Vic is slowly dying while we examine jewelry

It is obvious he is new to this adventuring stuff. but he is no stranger to combat at least.

Giving a stretch, he gathers his things, So, who takes point? Send a scout ahead?

Ice what i posted was not directly pertinent to me or this game. it was intended to be generic advice I used the cold thing as an example to help explain my point. they were not intended to be questions to be answered. simply read and taken as a loose guideline.

looks like I may need to catch up on gameplay, who is Eagun, and where would/how/why I be coming into. what situation(s) would I be knowledgeable about (if any).

possibly a little brief backstory to meld in with the story line would be useful.

(Ice the spoiler is me just trying to help you improve your GMing skills. I don't want you to think you are a failure as a GM, you are not, I like to help where I can.)

my guide to assist GM's section 1:

for me, story and continuity are important. it helps drive a character's personality. a key factor in keeping your players engaged is giving them a connection and purpose, a connection to the group and to whatever mission they are on. and a purpose as in each character provides something unique to the group. a skill set, a spell selection, or whatever. also help guide the player in character development so that the character can grow with the adventure and not be bogged down with wasted energy and resources. such as I am a winter witch, I deal in cold magic, it is helpful to know before going in that we will be facing mostly cold immune type creatures.

Ice is correct, it is a partial charge I think, I've used it before, particularity nasty when mounted and in a surprise round.

Victor runs through several options in his head, he doesn't want to harm his allies (at least not any more).

finally moving to keep as much distance as possible but still within spell range. Victor swirls his hand in a circular motion creating a miniature blizzard in his palm then he blows the snow toward the creature. causing it to swirl int its face.

had a game tonight which turned out to be quite fun using the random dungeon generator

initiative: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19

with the approach of what he considers as friendly's Victor looks for possible options.

He simply approaches a bit (to get within 30') as a frost covers his hand. and with a single gesture a blast of snow erupts from his hand, solidifying into ice as it flies toward the creature.

ranged touch: 1d20 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (3) + 2 - 4 = 1 (-4 firing into melee)

the blast doing nothing more than freezing a horse trough on the other side of the street, trapping a frog in mid leap now half frozen in the ice.
