unless you have the UPB already at hand.
Or mouth...

this may already be a dead subject, but I read the manufacturing fusion as it magically adds the UPB. That's how it would recharge a battery through magic. So it's much quicker to reload with a swift action unless you need to use a swift action for something else in the combat. I could be wrong but I also read it as a total of 400. So say you had a grenade launcher you could only reload one tier 2 frag grenade. Now I do have a question if this is still a live subject. I made a mechanic back in the days before we had biohackers later I took one level of biohacker. I have my character level of 5 in mysticism, life science, physical science, engineering and computers. I wanted to be able to build anything. So I put a manufacturing fusion on a level 6 dart gun, and I was able to use it to manufacture: explosive adamantium darts. Usually just one at a time or possibly two. I know what the cost is. However when I wanted to load it with a drug using the same manufacturing fusion at same time I created the dart I was unfortunately stopped. What I want to know is to drugs count as ammunition. This is specifically important because I've decided to take the accessory for a bayonet and I have put a hand weapon which is a type of operative needler on the bottom of it.

3rd level Transform Biotech, can this be used to Change a Personal Upgrade that is a Symbiot? If I use this to change the personal augment I got at level 1 (for example the brain enhancement) when I change skills do I get the original rank that I put into the skill I took. For instance I put a rank into engineering because I took engineering as the additional skill, during the adventure I decide I want to be a computer person and change the skill to computers but have no ranks in computers. does the rank from engineering travel over?

Personal Upgrades: the whole sentence is they don't follow the normal system-limitation rules. It doesn't say they don't follow the rules that apply to augments just the system limiting ones. Just as a point to your answer, I would agree that nesting them would be overpowered, but I am pointing out the text. On that note if you took the Hybrid Personal Upgrade which says it is a symbiot I could argue that the level 3 Geneturge power Transform Biotech could change the upgrade, but I digress.

so your saying that if a soldier takes the archetype they give up their bonus feats for 2nd, 4th, 6th, 12th, and 18th Levels and wait for their secondary fighting technique until level 10 (which is rarely reached in organized play)

in order to get 1/2 price in one type of augment, a single additional augment in one system, the ability to power an item but not recharge a battery ie a portale level 1 charge cloak that costs a resolve to use and possibly overclock your personal upgrades for a few rounds.

That would be underwhelming and hardly as balanced as all the other archetypes. Most that I have looked at give a pretty good trade off for what you lose. Explain how the balancing works?

um I read that as you can nested for any and all systems such as 2 for skin, hand, throat. usually you can only have 1 per system in any part, you’re able to adjust your modifications to fit
alongside one another, you can use more augmentations at
once than other creatures can. Ie put an extra along side any other. Now here's my question,
PERSONAL UPGRADES
Personal upgrades are a special class of
augmentation that do not follow the
normal system-limitation rules. Instead,
these are broad upgrades that make
changes across your entire body, while
still allowing for other augmentations.

so if it's one system I probably would choose the personal upgrades nested I mean 2 mark 1's, 2 mark 2's, and 2 mark 3's you know. It says they are augmentations after all. But I rather take it at it's word that it's all the systems anywhere you could have 1 augment you could have 2, I mean you do lose stuff from your class for the Archetype path.

you can't cast 2nd level spells until your 4th level and if you get it for free at 4th level spell casting ability then that frees up another known spell so you can change your known spells, either way even if you don't take it when you can cast 2nd level spells as a known spell your improved connection to the mystic force gives you access when you reach the ability to cast 4th level spells.

Currently I am playing in a home game where we are all Skittermanders. I made a Mystic Geneturge (Augmented Archtype) at level 1 I took Mystic Strike and at 3rd Improved Combat Manuever (Grapple). (Str 12) At 3rd level thats a Grapple at +2(Skitter)+2(BaB)+4(Imp Com Man) +1(str)+2(weapon garrote) for a total of at least +11 to hit base AC (KAC+8).

Now the Mystic Strike is not even in play for those numbers, I have that question out on another thread. Garrote is a basic weapon so I am specialized with it even though it's an operative weapon. I am wondering if a third feat such as Weapon Focus might be beneficial later but for now its a neat flavor for the game. I haven't equiped any ranged weapons, to give him the flavor of a Mystic Warrior.(not because I couldn't but I make a flaw with any character my future ranged weapons will probably be augments)

Now this might seem pointless, but with mystic strike I can grapple ghosts and hold them in place. I only need an empty hand to threaten squares and make an opportunity melee attack with say a venom spur (which I got at 2nd level for half price Augmented Archetype) on anyone. This makes him very helpful in a combat situation, he's not a star but in a team environment he can be deadly. It's a character that encourages team cooperation.

The point is if you dedicated to making a Grappler or any specialized Manuever character you can overcome the obstacles (replace the Skittermander bonus with weapon focus). Grapple is a basic attack and falls under basic weapons. Everyone gets to be a specialist in basic weapons at 3rd level which adds damage. Feats such as weapon Focus now are with a specific class of weapons not a specific weapon type. The fact that it's more challenging makes for better gaming in my opinion.

(Now I have had a GM rule in organized play that's it's more difficult due to the archaic/ technological reason ie the -5 to damage. However that was before the Armoury came out.)

None the less you could be mad for your player, or if they really made just a grappler give them more experience for overcoming a greater challenge. I mean if they are taking prisoners and all that. If they just kill em and don't accept a surrender then no reason to award anything extra for choosing the harder route.

I suppose this changes with the new garrote that is an opperative weapon

Couple unarmed questions

1)Do you get weapon specialization damage with unarmed strikes? What if you have improved unarmed strike?
2)Can the feat Mystic Strikes apply to unarmed strikes?
3)Can you apply fusion seals to unarmed strikes?

1. Further questions Does mystic strike unarmed target EAC or KAC?

2. How about grappling? I can see where with mystic strike you could possibly grapple an incorporeal but is it KAC+8 for the grapple still or does the mystic energy change the effective AC of the opponent?

Okay I can accept that it's KAC go in Pathfinder it's touch AC as in your dexs + 10 and any magical. So let's further the question it's a level 2 item if I add the weapon fusions of returning and called to the net. if I throw it and it grapples the target is the target then dragged back when it returns? then is a swift action I call it to my hand ready to attack and all folded up again. Further since it's a thrown weapon as a fighter if I take the Eldritch Knight Rune and apply to it do I add the magic attack such as for Arcane strike say I was a technomancer. Then is it still hitting KAC or is it EAC? Being a thrown weapon I can add my strength to it correct so it does straight strength damage perhaps non-lethal?
