Pilot: 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (5, 3) + 1 = 9
Venssa touches a few of the controls and marvels how well built the whole vessel is. She hears the voice and looking at all the control it has, whisper almost to herself "A.I. a true thinking machine...: At the offer, she tried to get Two-Fingers attention "The ship's astrogation is almost 600 years off current star positions. I hope their world and community are still there when we arrive!"

As she climbs down, Venssa can hear the discovery of the door. Once back on solid ground she draws her pistol and moves over to the door, examining it and its surroundings for anything out of the ordinary. "Be careful two-Fingers! No telling if they still have any security measures on that door or not!"

Having used the device a few times before, Venssa knows it has access to an output device and sends the information to the dot matrix printer. The sound of the printer rips into the silence like an automatic rifle on full auto. Soon the information is on a hard copy along with a high-res picture of the map (having been sent to the more advanced, and hence rarer laser printer! "Ok here you go. Let's hope this leads to something important or my a## might be in a sling once the Sheriff discovers I was using the laz-printer!!"

Sorry my post did not load..I will re-post! Watching the others fiddle with the techno-gadget, Venssa had mostly lost interest until she heard them talk about needing a viewer. "Ummm...we have a universal display device that we use to check the merchant's ids. Would something like that help?"

Venssa nods to people as they enter the Club. She keeps her eyes on the newcomers, but as she is off duty, the young Security Force guard simply goes back to nursing her drink. She sits alone, as most of the youth do not trust the "Guard". It is fine with her, however, as she is doing an important job for the Rock and following in her mother's footsteps.

"This might not seem like much to you, but I was able to get a good look at their boots. I would probably be able to pick them out by their footwear if we met any of them unmasked. Perhaps we should visit some of the other inns and I can see if I recognize any of them." The rustic gnome settles back down into her seat after making the offer to track these "priests". She hopes she is up to the task!

Venssa goes up to Rankev and takes his hand. "Lets go...for now. We seem surrounded and even a great forest bear can be brought down by a pack of wolves if she is not careful! Besides, I might have a plan!" She begins to lead the wizard away from the 'temple' and back to the inn they were staying at.

Venssa is torn as to what she should do. She does not think she could act like a possible acolyte, but she feels the need to somehow follow along. She keeps to the alleys and doorways as she follows the others. Once she knows where they are going she works her way behind the structure and starts to look for the tiny denizens who also call the temple home. Will question the local wildlife as to the goings-on in the building and any access that she could use to gain entrance.

Venssa retires to the room she is sharing with Aldelenna. The gnome is both physically and mentally exhausted. The unnatural feel of the city has weighed heavily on her, and sleep allows her a chance to come to grips with the city and its strange ways. She awakens early and goes outside. The sun is just a glow on the horizon, and the streets are quiet and glistening with dew. In the quiet, she can hear the birds waking and calling out to each other. Down the street a raccoon scuttles into the nearby alleyway, the rind of some fruit clutched firmly in its mouth. Closer to her, a group of rats slink from the side of the inn and swiftly cross the road and disappear under the door of a stable. While it is not her home, nature has made itself at home here in the city. With that thought in her mind, she reenters the Inn and awaits the others to break their fast.

Venssa frowns at the description of how Rankev "slept" the fish so the fishermen could scoop them up. "Such unorthodox methods of capturing fish is against nature Rankev. I am glad you have made it back to us, but I feel we should have a little talk about this, hmmm?" The gnome tries to keep a sombre face, but cannot help but smile at the return of their friend.
