Okay. So since you're saying no to the squire feat I'm guessing that's also a no to the leadership feat as well. Correct?

Thank you for liking my concept GM! :)

I'm still going to submit her, but I might submit another character (if I get time to work on her that is). And Velkaria is ready!

I went ahead and put in the wound thresholds as well just in case. Also, you might notice that the number of languages Velkaria's is more than what she normally could speak. This is because (in my opinion) she would already know Vudrani having been born and raised (even for a short time) in Jalmeray. I hope that is okay.

If, however, you would prefer she would know only the normal amount of languages, I'm okay with that, but I still think it doesn't make any sense for her to have to take a point in Linguistics simply to know the language of birthplace.

Also would you allow us to use the Squire feat and additional trait feats? Also was it okay that I took the hedonistic drawback?

And in terms of the darker themes, I'm okay with it, as long as it doesn't go overboard.

Still working on stats but is my character's concept alright? I can change it if you don't like it.

I've been dying to play this character for a long time now.

You're welcome and same here. Wish we could have adventured together too.

But it's cool and thank you very much! And good luck to you as well!

1 person marked this as a favorite.

While I may not have gotten picked, I wish all those who were a great and fun (and hopefully safe) adventure! I had a lot of fun meeting y'all!

And GM thank you for this opportunity!

Btw Avelina, I loved your character concept! I wish you and the others best of luck!

Indeed real life comes first always. But take your time Clebsch we will be waiting for you! And you're welcome!

Sorry to you go. I wish you good luck on your further adventures!

Same here! I nearly choked on my drink reading it!

Real life has been extra busy this past 24 hours, so I've made no progress on the selection. Looks like it will be 24 to 48 hours before I'll have news. Sorry for the delay.

It's cool. Take your time! No need to rush. And thank you for the opportunity!

Same here!

You're welcome and thank you! I enjoyed how you did your homework on the Worldwound lore as children born so close to it would most certainly be exposed to planar energies. And also a very interesting way to introduce the silver dragon Terendelev not to mention creating a connection between your character and her.

I had to do my homework on not only tielfing's but also Shelyn, Jalmeray, and rakshasa, figuring out how a divine goddess give birth to a tiefling. And I enjoyed designing her personality too.

I was a bit nervous myself actually as I was worried that I went overboard! But it's good to hear that you liked her! Thank you!

Same here as well. It'll be an interesting, not to mention fun, experience!

By the way, Allaric, excellently written background and description of your character. I wish you good luck!

I would very much be up for tied stories if selected. Karas has been in Kenabres all his life.

Good ties or bad ties it all makes for great story. Karas isnt the most religios but his relationship with Terendelev is akin to Hero worship and a motherly figure of awesome power.

Just read your background Karas. A very interesting and well written story. Very well done. I enjoyed reading it. I wish you good luck in the recruitment!

You're welcome! Reading it i can see you are a great writer as I greatly enjoyed reading the Conclave of the Gods GM and agree with you on how mythology can tell us much about our own world and culture. Of course mythology can be anything from ancient legends to the latest pop culture movies and comic books, our mythology exhibits a window of our own cultural ideals, norms, and memes, as well as our own criticisms of our very culture, society, and world.

Roleplaying allows both gms and players to interact with each other and a world that gives them a chance to create a whole new mythology through their characters. A famous person once said, "The world is a stage."

In this regard, campaigns and adventures create a stage for our heroes (and villains) to act out and create new stories, for isn't that who we are as roleplayers? We are creating a new story each time we embark on a new campaign or adventure.

@GM Very interesting story for the campaign. I like it! Very we'll written and suspenseful too!

Also even if I'm not picked I had fun designing my character and I have enjoyed meeting all of you. And to the GM thank you for this opportunity!

Sorry for the read!

Henceforth, I'd actually really prefer it if everyone shortened their backstories down to the aforementioned length of two paragraphs. You can keep the longer ones, of course, but give me a synopsis of what it entails. One of the hallmarks of being a good writer is the ability to write shorter as well as longer entries.

Hope that solves that.

It does! Thanks for clearing that up for me. Looks great, otherwise. Thanks for the well wishes.

That is just fine! Not so long ago, I too was a novice to the ways of tabletop gaming. As long as you put forth the effort, I'm pretty content.

can I take the squire feat?
Under other circumstances, such as if you were playing a character that was better suited to diplomatic actions or something aside from combat, I might say yes. But as you're a paladin and they have (justified) reputations for being extremely powerful, I'm gonna have to veto the idea. Which is not to say you can't have a non-combat little buddy you pick up along the way to be your squire for RP purposes. That, I would gladly accept.

Thank you for the answers and I'll provide a summary here of her background too. And sorry for the long read too! I tend to get carried away when designing characters. :3

Hello and SCKnightHero1 here. Thank you for answering my questions and for this opportunity GM! Here is Velkaria my beastbrood tiefling paladin of Shelyn. I do have to switch Armor Expert for Tough Skin trait as I picked the wrong trait but other than that she's ready!

Also can I take the squire feat later on from the Knights of the Inner Sea sourcebook? Just wanted to make sure.

Happy anniversity GM!

I'm okay with randomness but as long as it doesn't get out of hand that is.

@Anarya excellent work on the list and I like your character submission. Good luck in the recruitment!

There are a lot of great submissions. Even if I'm not picked I had fun designing my character and reading everyone else's characters too!

To the GM, thank you for this opportunity too!

Goldstool here. If you want a good idea about who Haidar is, just read the "War Stories" tale at the bottom. Still a fresh character in my mind, so personality might change slightly. Mostly statted up, let me roll for gold while I am here.

[dice=Gold]5d6*10

Race: Human

Class: Fighter(Lore Warden). No planned retraining or Multiclass. Could rework into Cavalier or Slayer (Vanguard) rather easily.

Feats: Combat Reflexes, Power Attack, Weapon Focus (Guisarme). Possibly will go into a trip based Reach Build with an emphasis on Knowledge Checks.

Traits: Tactician (combat), Forbidden Knowledge (Regional), Child of the Crusades (Campaign), Meticulous (Drawback). Haidar is the son a 2nd generation Sarenrae Paladin. His knowledge on war history, military tactics, engineering and formations are ever-growing. His reliance on his knowledge can at times leave him unprepared for new encounters.

Physical appearance: 5’10’’, 155lbs. Thin but fit, with coiled muscle. Dark skin and short, tame black hair. He has a stern face and wears a cautionary grimace. Soft green eyes betray an otherwise rugged appearance. Haidar is adorned in a suit of studded leather. Makeshift snips of metal plates and scraps of chain mail seem to be largely decorative atop his armor. He holds his hooked spear close to his person. Appears as late twenties.

Alignment: Neutral Good, possibly with a transition to Chaotic Good as the party faces dilemmas that require unlawful behavior. Haidar honors the chain of command, loyalty and tradition. He does however, see the greater good as being more important than honor, and would be willing to lie, cheat and act without integrity if it meant to help the forces of good and vanquish the forces of evil.

Mythic Path: Marshal. Haidar will seek to become a great tactician, and through research of history, his foes and military tactics, he seeks to change the tide of the Crusades. Champion could also work to a lesser extent, it would...

Wow! Excellent work. I enjoyed reading this. Good luck in the recruitment.

Alright, I fixed the mistakes and hopefully everything is in order. Just let me know if I still need to fix anything please.

About Me:

I’ve been roleplaying for a long time, taking part in everything from Dungeons and Dragons to Mutants and Masterminds to storytelling based roleplaying to now Pathfinder. I’m an avid roleplayer, and I’m also an aspiring writer.

I’m very good keeping up with campaigns, and I’m already a part of four current ones. I’m usually available during the mornings, late afternoons, and late evenings EST, but I can post at anytime during my breaks at work. So, posting multiple times per day shouldn’t be any problem for me. I’m quite active on the messageboards as well.

Mythic Path and Other Plans:

I plan on going the Holy Warrior build for the Hierophant mythic path, to a certain extent. I do plan on taking several abilities to allow me to grant spells to my followers and with the GM's permission, I hope to pick up the Squire feat, since that fits into my character's background and lore.

Alright here we go. I'm SCKnightHero1 here and this is my character Velkaria, beastbrood paladin of Shelyn.

Plans for Velkaria:

I plan on advancing her all the way up to level 20 as a paladin. I plan on making her a sword and shield paladin as that was the original plan when I first created her (I had to switch out her feats since her Dexterity is now low).

I plan on focusing mainly on the Hierophant mythic path, although I may take some abilities from the Guardian path, but I'll have to wait and see what happens first.

I hope everything is in order and thank you for this opportunity!
