Varg does not even say anything, but instead simply stands close to the priest stretching and cracking his knuckles. Intimidate(aid): 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (20) - 1 = 19 Grezzor, we need to stop wasting these nat-20s, lol.

Varg can use the Cloak of Resistance. He has very little at this point, and jacking up his saves seems like a good idea. He will also take some of the healing potions depending on what others want.

If you stick with wizard, another pair of feats are Craft Staff --> Staff-like Wand. The second feat is super buff because you can get/craft low level wands and then use them at your level. So a cheap wand of Magic Missile would always be firing 5 missiles, or a wand of fireball or lightning bolt would be super high CL and save DR. If you were to grab Craft Wand, the cost would be 5625, but you would have 50 fireballs at your hand.

I thought that I had posted this. I like Grezzor. If you are concerned about being ineffective, one option would be to switch from Wizard to Sorcerer(Arcane-Sage). Doing this you would be able to cast a lot more blast spells. In addition, Goblins, like humans, allow for you to gain an extra spell known as a favored class bonus. It would be Komm's decision whether to have you lose your familiar, but I do not think that it would really change your power.
Doing this switch, you really would not have to change Grezzor much at all, but would not run out of spells anywhere near as fast.

.Varg, realizing that the big man is no longer with the group as a buffer, moves in behind Ranalfus and takes a defensive position to show the ghouls that the smaller members of the party will not be easily overcome. As he does so, he lets out a low growl while flexing and cracking his knuckles. Total Defense - in an intimidating manner Intimidate (aid another): 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (11) - 1 = 10 <-- ok, not very threatening, but enough for Aid Another

Varg stands quietly and looks down the passage thinking that walking out and not coming back would be the wise choice. But then he looks back and realizes that Arlok is behind then and might still have some some chance of being able to be rescued. Good either way. We really do not need to rest, but we did burn through a fair amount of resources in that last battle.

Varg will use his SLA of Enlarge Person and also Invisibility before we initiate anything. Then he will stand in the entrance to the tunnel so that Grezzor can drop fireballs. Varg will take a position initially to block the tunnel that allows him to trip the first ogre to approach. Not exactly sure which room we are going into - it looks like #7, but I do not see the ogres, so I am unsure how to exactly position him. Spells - Enlarge Person, Invisibility Standard - Ready action to trip
I assume that Grezzor is dropping the haste on round 2? Or will it be in the surprise round.
Male Duegar Monk(Gray Disciple)/5-Kineticist(Aether)(Kinetic Blade)/1 - [HP 56/56); AC19,T19,FF17; F+8,R+8,W+9; Per+12; Init +2]
Varg knowing that the others don't stand a chance if he leaves should something attack with an element of surprise, takes up the last position, watching down the passage behind as the others begin the long climb up. If Grezzor want to cast enlarge person, Varg can probably carry Grezzor and possibly Praetor. If he cannot carry both, he can go right behind Praetor, while carrying Grezzor, and will aid another Praetor on the way up.

Thanks for waiving that, the running back and forth could have taken many days with the website's inconsistency the last few weeks. Varg, with the witchdoctor over his shoulder and the goblin wizard under one arm, continues to follow the remains of the party, nonetheless, he continues to peer back over his shoulder wondering what the vile priests might be doing to Arlok. He continues to carry the two until his size begins to diminish back to normal a few minutes later. When the group is able to recover, he looks around. Grezzor's balls of fire would have helped there. We heal and recover, then search that area and see if there is a way to get our big friend back.
Male Duegar Monk(Gray Disciple)/5-Kineticist(Aether)(Kinetic Blade)/1 - [HP 56/56); AC19,T19,FF17; F+8,R+8,W+9; Per+12; Init +2]
What is their CMD? I was figuring that it would be 10+7(level)+4(strength)+1(size) -- pretty sure that is the CMD for Black Tentacles. Obviously, the cleric could easily be higher level, but not enough higher (level 13) to beat the 29 that Varg got for Praetor. Varg will burn the Hero Point if necessary.
Male Duegar Monk(Gray Disciple)/5-Kineticist(Aether)(Kinetic Blade)/1 - [HP 56/56); AC19,T19,FF17; F+8,R+8,W+9; Per+12; Init +2]
I assume that Praetor and Grezzor will not be able to break free of the tentacles. Hopefully the Purple Priest will not cast some AOE spell that takes Varg out this round. Cursing silently at the failure of any semblance of order for the party, Varg looks through the solid portcullis one last time at his companion and hopes that perhaps the group can get back to rescue Arlok. Turning, he uses a burst of supernatural speed to charge through the mass of magical tentacles, hoping to rescue his smaller companions. Move action - 60' (still hasted)
Hero Point - for second standard action Standard (hero) - grapple Grezzor - 1d20 + 9 + 1 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 9 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 22 <-- extra +1 from haste, +1 size, +1 strength (enlarge person), Ki Point for extra +4 dodge bonus to AC (and CMD)
If he cannot get Grezzor, Varg will continue past and drop off Preator, then return back next round for Grezzor. Hope this makes sense.
Male Duegar Monk(Gray Disciple)/5-Kineticist(Aether)(Kinetic Blade)/1 - [HP 56/56); AC19,T19,FF17; F+8,R+8,W+9; Per+12; Init +2]
I do not know what is exactly possible. Varg is hurt from the initial channels, but is not otherwise impaired at this point. He obviously is not going to be able to get in to help Arlok, so, what would be necessary for him to move through the black tentacles. Currently Varg is invisible for 5 minutes and enlarged for 5 minutes (SLA invisibility, SLA enlarge person). Varg would attempt to pick up Praetor and/or Greezor. If this requires hero points, let me know. I think that Varg is also hasted for one more round. I am not sure how Black Tentacles interact with invisibility. 50% miss chance perhaps? Varg will be using a Ki point to increase his dodge bonus (also increasing CMD I believe) for any round he is in the black tentacles. He will also go Total Defense if possible (or fighting defensively if necessary) Total Defense + Ki Point should make his CMD 36, hopefully enough to avoid getting grappled Let me know how you want to work this and I will post the rolls/actions. PS - tried to post this a week ago before the site went down.

Unsure of what his companions intend, but knowing that his large companion is in trouble, Varg calls on his training, and suddenly disappears from view. He then moves forward and attempts to lift the gate separating the party from Arlok. Standard Action - Invisibility (SLA)

Not sure what else to do, and hoping to find a way to save his companion from the horde of demon priests, Varg huffs and puffs, and blows himself up. SLA - Enlarge Person At the same time, he calls to Brok:

Not quite sure what his larger companion just decided to do, Varg moves forward into the doorway, pulling a small piece of chalk the found on one of the bodies the party has cleaned. He then tosses the piece of chalk at the priest where it bursts into a cloud of deadly dust. Kinetic Blast - Telekinetic Blast
Male Duegar Monk(Gray Disciple)/5-Kineticist(Aether)(Kinetic Blade)/1 - [HP 56/56); AC19,T19,FF17; F+8,R+8,W+9; Per+12; Init +2]
Not wanting to get stuck in the middle of a hundred evil priests, Varg delays waiting for his larger companion to lead the way. Delay - waiting for Arlok to lead the way out.

Seeing the trap smiths indicate that a poisoned lock has been found, or at least assuming that is why they want his assistance, Varg heads over to the trap and opens the lid. When he feels a prick in his finger, he pulls it back and licks the drop of blood off the tip of his finger. He then looks to the others. Anything useful in here?

Varg looks over at Brok as Arlok begins to consume parts of the priest.
Varg makes sure that this is said loud enough that the priest can hear him.

Seeing his larger companion charge out and attempt to disembowel one of the priests, Varg follows by charging toward the other, attempting to grapple the other priest before he is able to call on the Goat Prince's magic. Charge (move up to 30') and Grapple: 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 9 + 2 = 30 <-- flatfooted CMD (no dex, dodge, etc) --> going after the less damaged priest

Varg holds tight to Brok, keeping the tiny goblin from hurting anyone. Grapple/Pin: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22 Varg then, after binding the goblin so that he cannot run, tosses Brok over his shoulder and begins to head back to the others.

Deciding that the goblin may need some saving, Varg takes off after Brok to bring him back before he gets into any trouble. Varg's speed is only 30, hopefully he can catch Brok before he gets eaten be the next set of undead.

Sorry for the limited posting recently. At present this is my only online campaign, and I am checking several times a week. Varg is still here, just not able to aid in the investigation at this point. If my posting level is not enough, please let me know and I will drop out. On the flip side, I am enjoying this game so far, and hope to stick with this to the end, if we survive that far.
