I am here. Sorry I haven't posted much. Valistar is is laconic anyway, but bandwidth has been tight.

Valistar overlooks the translation, and gives a nod of approval. "It is my experience that the more extravagant the decor, the more impressive the find, be it weal or woe."

The elf then casts a cantrip of magical detection. He starts with the statue, then scans the rest.

Regain 2 points to the pool.

Valistar grits his teeth, and prepares for whatever chronochaos will ensure.

Valistar moves to the center, keeping an eye out for where the next round of foes will emerge. Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12

Angered, Valistar stands up and unleashes a particularly powerful magic missile on the clockwork servant. Point from reservoir to cast at CL 4.

MM: 2d4 + 2 ⇒ (4, 4) + 2 = 10

Not sure how Valistar ended up in the front row...

Escape Artist: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22 The elf frees himself, but curses profusely at the situation!

Use the round to help get Styrian out.

"I don't think so. Not today." Magic Missile: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Given the Arcana check, Valistar would perhaps know if they're immune to SR yes spells like MM? Valistar reverts to his tried and true, using the wand of Magic Missile. MM: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

He then moves up to help people get themselves untangled.

Valistar moves up a bit and opts to try the Grease again, as it worked well enough before. He focuses his power to make it ever more difficult to resist. Grease DC 19

Valistar chuckles a bit. The though of using muscle to accomplish a goal is utterly foreign to him.

Valistar follows behind, keeping his keen elven eyes peeled. Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16

Arcana: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (18) + 13 = 31 "Ah, an augur's set up. The statues are so-called “beasts of ignorance,” mythological creatures common in the artwork of a divination cult known as the Vision Unveiled."

Valistar then scans the room with a Detect Magic.

Will: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5 Fear grips the elf, though not enough to break him. Shaken he steps back and lets fly another missile MM: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Valistar piles on, sending a magic missile right after Soddy's bolt MM v. Green: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Works for me!

Arcana: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (15) + 13 = 28
Religion: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (9) + 12 = 21

"That UNDEAD skull is going to burn us, and can't be burnt! The chattering undead skull can frighten you with it's scream!"

@GM, do you run such that I need to wait until my turn to make those checks and yell out?

The arcanist uses his wand once again. Arcana: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (4) + 13 = 17 "I feel like I should know that, but I trust you. Should we light this place up?" Barring any protests, Valistar will begin dancing some lights.

Valistar shakes his head and fires a single missile: MM: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

"Desna's @#!$" Valistar digs deep to bring forth a particularly slippery pool of grease! Using a point to make it "potent" Grease DC 19

"Nirion, if indeed these are spirits without rest, I think it'll be you who must take the lead." Nevertheless, Valistar follows with his wand out.

Not waiting for the results, Valistar too steps into the room a bit to study and detect for magical auras.

Valistar points towards the temple district. "That's more to my liking, but I'm not adverse to our other option."

My sincere apologies. The weekend unexpectedly ran away from me. I'm here in force now.

Hoping to get the odds a little more favorable, the elf switches to his own magic. A pool of grease begins to bubble up on the floor beneath two of the attackers: Grease REF DC 17

Valistar switches wands and immediately levels a Magic Missile on the deurgar cleric. MM: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Local: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18

Not expecting combat this quickly the arcanist grabs his wand of Mage Armor and casts it! "Duergar!"

"Interesting. Interesting indeed." Unfortunately Valistar doesn't really elaborate on his response.

Dungeoneering: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (13) + 12 = 25

Once faces turn to him expectantly, he gives voice to his thoughts, "The sky citadels are massive fortress-cities the dwarves built millennia ago. Each one is heavily fortified and can weather the mightiest assaults. The most prevalent language in a sky citadel is likely Dwarven, so an explorer would do well to have at least some means of translating text. Supposedly there were 10 sky citadels, though four of those are considered lost. Even the names are forgotten, though the dwarves have not forgotten Koldukar, which was captured by orcs thousands of years ago. It’s assumed that any lost sky citadel met a catastrophic end. Based on the Pathfinder Society’s research, it appears the dwarves left Jormurdun willingly. In fact, from the state of the outer keep that leads into Jormurdun, it’s as though they were trying to keep something in as much as they were trying to keep someone else out."

To Styrian he adds, "Most demons are resistant or immune to acid, cold, electricity, and fire. Some are able to resist an even wider range of damage and magic."

Valistar is every bit the stereotype of an elf. His countenance is slightly supercilious. His attire is perfectly clean with nary a wrinkle. He smells of both the forest... and spell components.
