Depending on how high up it is dictates my weapon choices as I enlarge. I'm enlarging for the round, stepping forward if needed to avoid having to resave on the pit. Depending on if the flying creature's and I need to I'll use the +1 lance (enlarged that's 15ft reach) If it's a little close but still elevated enough I use MW cold Iron Earthbreaker (10ft) If its within 5ft range I use claw claw bite. Attack roll for +1 lance or MW earthbreaker: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (1) + 10 = 11
Claw: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13
I'm providing options because map doesn't show elevation. I think it's right next to us meaning I have to go with the natural routine since I can't take a 5ft step back to get into reach range, but GM discretion. Edit wow looking at those rolls now I'm really hoping it's right on top of us.

That drained me of a few key spells and all my channel healing, I strongly recommend we search the town thoroughly and camp here for the evening approaching the Iron legion's encampment tomorrow fresh. If the group agree I'll take a 20 (total of 34) on searching the town using detect magic and Arzool's scent and tracking trick to be even more through (Arzool has a 25 when taking 20 and can locate things by scent.) To sleep, I'd grab a building and set bear traps just inside the entrance.

50HP is right for some reason I misread it as 56 hp last night. enlarge doesn't give a +2 to Con I think I may have been mistaken based on size change rules from another edition or something else so I was at 1 HP for that and stand at 17/50HP DANG! "That really hurt! We should probably search the town but first who needs healing? last channel: 3d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 6) = 13 everyone who gathers

Sorry I was going to discuss the animal training stuff with you as I needed to know downtime. I believe you said a couple months so I'm going to assume 8 weeks. It takes 6 weeks to combat train an animal so I do that and modified by using both aspect of nightinggale and Eagle's Spendor I cheat my bonus to a +10 and take 10's on the training which has a DC of 20. Even without the spell boosts it's 20 because of the +4 to training your own AC attack, come, defend, down, guard, and heel as an AC I get 3 "bonus tricks" which I'm using for a 2nd attack, track, and rescue
