Striding up to Two Houses, our shining hero introduces himself "Hello!" a talking horse "Me and my fellow here are new to the races. Do you have any tips?"
Unifax - radiant steed! - neighs excitedly at Haohji's suggestion for a team name. His master, Ghul, remains silent, stoic, still, as if frigid from the snowflakes falling upon his rotted skin...
Unifax - radiant steed! - trots forward, his mane shining as the light from the sun reflects off the snow and luminates his healthy hair. Up to his master Ghul he makes his way, arriving at his side, neighing happily.
...but Unifax, radiant steed - within the same aura - is bestowed to greater life - the net effect of their shared bond a somewhat dampened healing!
◆) Stride He races to be beside his master!
Unifax will place his head beneath Ghul's arms - together, they will stitch their sustained wounds - they invite Hadrimos into their circle - a healing trance that lasts 20 minutes... ◆) Lay on Hands (+6 @ Unifax/Ghul)

◆) Stride Reeling up hoove over hoove, Unifax corners his opponent, boxing her into her corner, leaving her flank side exposed.

"Sport then" Unifax listens to the manivaried ways he can participate in the challenge, undecided on which would best suit his bondmate, Ghul, as well as the rest of the party, that they could put a best hoof forward. Teetering his golden horn at random, he decides "Surveying the field to keep an eye on your allies at key moments, and being decisive in those moments, is what elevates practice sparring to the level of real battle, where the stakes are high and the wounds are physical. I suggest we practice those skills?" looking around to see what the rest of the party thinks.
Unifax - radiant steed! - greets the students by kneeling before each one, horn aglow. Then speaks! ”Dura, Halran, Rhenei, Thisnabel, it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance. My name is Unifax, and this is Ghul, my charge. We are excited to see your skill with your blades in friendly wager. And although our own choice of battle implements may differ in style, you may find that we are evenly matched. Let us sport?”
Touching his glowing horn to the forms, magical golden ink fills in the information as if written by an invisible hand descended momentarily from heaven, fully and completely. Unifax - radiant steed! - neighs happily at the crewmember, pausing to allow the lad to pet him if he so desires...
...and behind him, radiant and shining, a magnificent steed, of hide white as snow and golden horn like a morning sunrise after a night of rain, trots close behind, beautific lavender mane with lustre alluring and angelic flowing gently in the breeze!
Unifax keeps up the barrage, pinning his foe between himself and his ally! ◆◆) Strike x2
Rearing up on powerful hind legs and braying with gusto, Unifax - - slams his hooves down and bounds over and around the furniture - tables and chairs leapt over like a handsome and galloping showpony! - and arrives before the elusive antagonist - "Red" - and runs him through with his Knotted Golden Horn! ◆◆) Stride x2
...nearby, Ghul looks on, looking to protect his mighty steed or any of his adjacent allies from the impending violence of retaliation: Offering to them a chance at Redemption...
Unifax - - nods to Ghul who nods back. He watches his dhampir charge push the door open to reveal what is behind...
Unifax - - watches as Ghul - with attached Blue! - wades through the crowd to join him , and upon his master arriving, he reels back on his hind legs, slashes with his shining horn, and clobbers with his strong hooves! ◆◆) Strike x2
Unifax - - races to the civilian's rescue, perhaps too late to make a difference, but none-the-less, bucking wildly in desperation unable to be more expedient! ◆◆◆) Stride x3
...Unifax - - gives Ghul a complex look, instantly communicating to him love, understanding, but also sternness. He "knows", but doesn't say anything. Because he doesn't have to...
Heeding Corona's Call, Unifax - - gallops in a great circle to herd the party in the direction, and sprints off with a vigorous neigh!
Unifax - - Stands Fast to Protect the tiny creature known a Settie - it's White Mane shining against the Fires of the Explosion... And looking around for nearby survivors of the fallout! He speaks "Come - let our masters deal with the last Beast - we must hustle to help the fallen!" and, if it allows, clutches the poppet with it's teeth and throws it onto his back!
Unifax - - interposes gently between the jaguar and poppet, exhaling a soft blow of nostrils...
Unifax - - trots up next to the newcomers to - both feline and wicker - and making a "centroid" of sorts with Resinosa as the third "triangle" point - to welcome them to the group - and speaks! "While there are those that walk alone in this world, it may come down to us to attend to the nudging back to the straight and narrow, for as much good as it does to allow space for experiments in divergence, equal as much (or perhaps all-the-more) for the reintegration into the greater expression of self, or in the case, of the dual/self!"
Two minds one, Unifax gallops past Ghul as he keeps the snake at bay, distracting it for Merian's strike! ◆) Stride
Glorious our steed's warmth throws off the chilling effect, whose icy cling yet continues to freeze his counterpart's deadened flaky skin...
With a loud neigh, Unifax gallops around to the other side of one snake, rising onto it's hind legs to threaten the ceiling-descended creature! ◆) Stride
◆) Stand Yielding to the unexpected quake, Unifax topples and rolls, but regains his footing.
Ghul's protection of the sterling stallion keeps it's shiny hide spic and span - the mosaic's evil power parts by the tiny light still emitting at the conflux of their strange connexion: Together, they stand against the torrent of glass-spewing vortices!
↺) Ghul's Glimpse of Redemption
Frozen in place, Unifax looks back towards Ghul, lending the strength to stand against the Mosaic!
Unifax bucks!
With a swipe of it's head, it urges Ghul on towards the exit, then turns to face the mosaic and beams - the light of heaven shining down and reflecting off his white fur to bathe it in holiness! ◆◆) Disable Haunt w/ Religion
But there is a third entity. Though separated by two bodies in physical space, n a metaphysical plane, the geometry of two souls yet intertwine. A soothing light, at first barely a glow, then growing by single gradient moment by moment, into aa beacon, searing through with laser precision the crushing hopelessness of losing oneself irrevocably to the dark. Racing forward, brilliant and shining, Unifax gallops forward to arrive next to Ghul, pushing his nose under his shoulder to hoist him once again to his feet, and whispers gently into his ear "remember your faith"... ◆) Stride
Unifax hangs back to be adjacent to Thriss'k as he walks. Ghul presses ahead, keeping as far away from his injured allies as he can, their blood beckoning him...
His ward barely able to hold his shield but by the silken thread of faith, Unifax reels back with a mighty neigh, slashing it's glistening horn crosswise against the tomb guardian, and clobbering down with it's bare hooves, it's show of strength hasted by the vicarious urgency of unnatural hunger panging like a persistent shade against his heavenly pure body! ◆◆) Strike x2
Unifax snorts in response, halting his trot, lowering his head defensively, and scraping the ground with one of his hooves, ready to charge at the first provocation...
He can... speak!?! "Come friends - I can feel his hunger, stoking an old flame he had thought he had put out, and re-awakening an urge to consume flesh stronger than he has ever had to hold back - we don't have long - follow me!" Contrasting with Ghul's unnerving rasp, Unifax's voice is a melodic tenor, nearly a lullaby, but one that leaves the effect of believing in oneself - a tiny light at the end of a dark tunnel!
The magnificent long flowing mane of the majestic steed glistens, contrasting with the dankness of the bloodied dungeon. Trotting over to the western door, Unifax gets himself set, feeling through their divine connection his master reaching for the Oubliette to mount over his head and rest against his armored chest.
Unifax beams with gaity as the holy power washes over him!
...While Unifax remains strong, strident, and striking! ◆) Stride
...behind him, the majestically small steed scrapes it's hooves against the ground, circling for another springing trample! ◆) Stride
Unifax charges in an ovular pattern, smashing his powerful hooves down upon the booger, then cycling nearly back to the spot he started, neighing with pleasure. ◆) Stride
Acting upon an instinct, Unifax stamps on the adjacent booger, skidding onto it's hind legs with a screeching neigh, clapping down it's powerful hooves! ◆) Strike
◆) Stride Unifax files in behind our doomed hero, patiently waiting for the rolling boogers to approach, and careful not to snort anywhere near Ghul's person...
Without warning, Unifax snorts from the back row, sending a couple of flakes crusting off of Ghul's skin onto the compound floor...
Unifax - trusty steed - follows his master into conflict, and snorts as it rears onto it's back legs! ◆) Stride
Some of the iruxi children of the village become curious with the shining steed unadorned with the usual trappings of a warhorse - there was something wild about it that drew their attention, collecting as they do in their curiosity into a semicircle, until one such among them, after some talk, perhaps a "dare" here or there, decided to distinguish itself from the rest by crossing the threshold and moving to within potential reach of it's hooves... ...and here, Unifax lowers it's head in submission... ...which in turn emboldens the young warrior to mount it! And so, while the village leaders spent the evening talking with the outsiders about very important business, those among this collection of young warriors and scouts spent the evening traipsing around the swamp riding bareback, laughing and screaming and tumbling into the murky water again and again...
...Unifax walks gently over to the spun-and-fallen vial - his footsteps quieter than you might expect! - and taking it in his mouth, drops it in front of Rawiri, and huffs... |
