I'd like this to apply to 53785-11.

Boon Roll: 1d20 ⇒ 14

Ha! I was going to say 'nice try' Poog; but, great job, Poog! Sound Burst paid off!

Sensing blood in the water, Reta makes another swing with the mace, trying to smash more ogre flesh, before circling around the beast and moving closer to Poog.

'Mwk Mace Attack': 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
If hits, 'Mwk Mace Damage': 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Well, is there any way to get some healing on Reta? If not, she'll probably be joining Chuffy next round.

Reta stands toe-to-toe with the ogre, badly beaten and bleeding. However, she realizes she has nowhere left to turn, other than continuing the fight against Pa.

'Mwk Mace Attack': 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
'Crit Confirm: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
If hits, 'Mwk Mace Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

If Crit (doubt it), 'Extra Crit Dmg': 1d8 ⇒ 3

Big mean ogre stab Reta?! Reta not like being stabbed. Reta prefer to do stabbing and slicing and hitting. With a small feral growl, Reta steps to the side, and prepares to strike once Chuffy moves into flanking position. "Reta smash big ugly ogre. Reta use big ugly ogre head as a bowl when Reta big hero!"

Readying to attack when Chuffy is in flanking position.

'Mwk Mace Attack': 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15 (with flanking)
If hits, 'Mwk Mace Dmg': 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Reta waits for her companions to throw their first volley of fire, and then rushes forward to join in the melee. After all, if Chuffy's flames did not hurt Pa, how would her flames be any different?

Moving in to help set up a flank for Chuffy, Reta swings her new, big ogre mace at Pa.

Reta won't be of any help with what she has unless she engages Pa in melee, since he appears to have some kind of fire resistance. So, she has to charge in! Even if he gets an AoO.

'Mwk Mace Attack': 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22 (+2 if considered flanking from current spot)
If hits, 'Mwk Mace Damage': 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

Well, quite a bit happened over the weekend!

Reta nods with a big toothy grin. Burning Pa sounded good; maybe he would make good bacon, too. And Reta had never tried ogre bacon before. In the meantime, Reta will pick up the morningstar and take a swing with it. "Reta smash ogre head with new club! When he lose protection. Poog heal Chuffy, so Chuffy staby, too!"

Reta will then move off to one side of Pa and wait; hoping Chuffy moves to the other side of Pa, so after the fireball(s) go off, they can rush the ogre. Reta waits, ready to charge.

Reta, not even thinking about Mogmurch's bombs, races towards the big female ogre. "Reta slice ogre like pie, and make her rug for new chief hut!" As she closes, she takes a swing with her dogslicer, hoping to make it an ogreslicer, too.

'Dogslicer Attack': 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
If hits, 'Dogslicer Damage': 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Reta giggles with glee as she watches the owlbear get torn and cut and bloodied. She can imagine the fun it will be to wear it's skull as hat! With Chuffy still on the owlbear's otherside, Reta once again tries to stabbity-stab the big creature, and then move to the side.

'Dogslicer Attack': 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28
If hits, 'Dogslicer Damage': 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 (I think Reta needs to work-out a bit more. Apparently, she lacks the muscles to actually damage anything. That or she just enjoys inflicting a slow, cruel death on her opponents.)

If the owlbear goes down, Reta will rush to the spot between the ferret and the female ogre, in order to provide a flanking opportunity on both opponents. If the owlbear still stands, Reta will 5-foot step to the left, towards the ferret.

Reta debates on the options available to her, and quickly decides upon attacking the large owlbear. Some might think its the whole "consolidate fire power" idea, but really; it's because there's a greater chance the owlbear might maul someone besides her.

Sorry for the delay - life/work has been super busy lately. But let's finish this strong, right?

Reta moves up to owlbear and attacks, with flanking:

'Dogslicer Attack': 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
If hits, 'Dogslicer Damage': 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Let's hope we can kill this thing quickly, otherwise we may have to withdraw quickly and hope to pick them off one at a time.

Reta delays (Until her player has a bit more time to sit and think)

Reta pulls out a flaming arrow and prepare to shoot the hay, or the moving thing. But Reta like shooting hay, and watching it burn up. But Reta wait to see if Mogmurch going to burn first, as Mogmurch is good burninator. "Mogmurch burn or Reta shoot and burn?", she asks in a whisper.

Reta sidles up alongside Mogmurch and points towards the house. "We go?" Reta was anxious to burn and cut things.

Reta grins viciously as she the group finds another pig fast asleep. Pointing towards the sleeping piggy, Reta draws a line across her throat with a thumb. Reta is anxious to slash and cut and burn. One can never have too much bacon.

"Mogmurch make more bacon with fire belches?" Reta saunters up beside the alchemist and tears herself off a piece. After all, she helped cook it, too!

Looking over the area, all full of nice dry wood, Reta envision the glorious bonfire it could make. "Why you not set whole place on fire? Then we eat bacon and watch burn. If ogre come out, we stick and cut and burn him good."

give the ranged character the necklace. I will take wand. Each get a potion. Give our rogue the slicer. I already have a cloak. So left is glue and bead of force

So, just to make sure:

Potion of Cure Moderate Wounds (x4) - Poog, Mogmurch, Chuffy, Reta
Potion of Fire Resistance - ?
Wand of Lesser Restoration - Poog
+1 Flaming Dogslicer - Chuffy (or Reta?)
Cloak of Elvenkind - ?
Bead of Force - ?
Necklace of Fireballs - Mogmurch
Sovereign Glue - ?

Reta's sharp teeth finally manage to bite through the last strands of the rope. Once free, she holds her hands up triumphantly before pulling free her own dogslicer. However, rather than attack the eagles, Reta feels a sudden burst of compassion for her fellow goblins. After all, they helped make Reta Big Hero in old tribe; so maybe they help her again. Reta then moves to help free any goblins who remain tied.

Strength Check: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Bite: 1d2 ⇒ 2 (Rope Damage 5!)
Fort Save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24

Fort Save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23

Strength Check: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Strength Check: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21
Strength Check: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Strength Check: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Strength Check: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Fort Save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
Bite Damage: 1d2 ⇒ 2

I must admit, this is a little tedious. If one person could actually escape, that would probably be different.

Reta continues to struggle with the bonds, beginning to employe her teeth in the fashion of her comrades.

'Strength Check': 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Bite: 1d2 ⇒ 1
'Fort Save': 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20

Reta struggles ineffectively against her bonds, which angers her. She doesn't mind the warm sludge; though. It's like a goblin spa!

'Strength Check': 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
'Fort Save': 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
Can a goblin chew through the ropes?

Of course, if I die; I'll just apply the Chronicle to a new, uncreated character ;)

Reta chuckles as she hears the instructions. Reta like shooting bow. Reta like shooting birds. Reta like this challenge.

'Perception Check 1': 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28
'Shortbow Attack!': 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21

Sorry - a small bout of illness snuck up on me. I swear it licked me, before stabbing me in the back. I'll get Reta updated soon with the newer stats, but I'll get to posting now.

Okay, this right spot for Hero Goblins to play?

Real Name: If truly needed, I will send via PM.
PC Name: Ahrlicht Ehrmittler
Use: 53785-11
'Boon': 1d20 ⇒ 19

Reta revels in Pig Pit and new title. She best Pig Rider in town! She invent new Pig Ride event called Thunder Pig Ride, where goblins strap firework to pig, light it, and let goblin ride.

I apologize. Things became super busy.

Snapping back into the moment, Reta continues hacking at the frog with Chuffy.

'Will Save': 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18

'Dogslicer Attak': 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 3 + 2 = 11
If hits, 'Dogslicer Damage': 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

If Chuffy kills the frog, then Reta will pull her bow and fire at Vorka.
'Bow Attack': 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
If hits, 'Bow Damage': 1d4 ⇒ 3

Growling at the big ugly frog, Reta tries one more time to hit the big stupid thing with her dogslicer. Reta wonder if changing name to frogslicer would help it hit better. Reta try. "Ha! Reta now have Frogslicer! Slice frog good!"

'Dogslicer Attack': 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 3 + 2 = 14
If hits 'Dogslicer Damage': 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Ugh...Reta no think that hit.

With goblin glee, Reta rushes forward to take advantage of the flank offered by Chuffy. "Reta kill frog and eat legs!" Stepping up, she swings her own dogslicer towards the amphibian's torso. Unfortunately, frogs aren't dogs, despite their names sounding the same, and Reta gravely misjudges the attack and smashes her dogslicer into the deck, nearly breaking it in half.

'Dogslicer Attack': 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 3 + 2 = 6
If hits 'Dogslicer Damage': 1d4 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 1 + 2 = 7

Ha! That's no good.

Reta in! Reta like killing dogs.

Still glaring at the dog's corpse, Greta gives the head once hard kick, sending it rolling across the cabin's floor. "Dogs eat scribble face? How dogs put goblin in sack?"

Reta was still glowering at Mogmurch for his evil summoning of wasps. And she became all the madder when the other goblins gave horse to dogs - and not poison it first! How they be real goblin heroes if not kill dogs?! Seething with anger, Reta was only too happy when the big dog barked and gave them an opportunity to kill it. And eat it.

Rushing in, Reta takes up a position opposite Chuffy. Chuffy make good bait. Reta, in a fit of hatred, swings her dogslicer wantonly towards Cuddles. "Kill dog! Mount dog head on top of ship! RETA HATE DOG!"

'Dogslicer Attack': 1d20 + 3 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 3 + 2 + 1 = 25
If hits, 'Dogslicer Damage': 1d4 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 1 + 2 = 7

'Crit Confirm': 1d20 + 3 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 3 + 2 + 1 = 15
If hits, 'Extra Crit Damage': 1d4 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 1 + 2 = 4 (to be added to damage above)

As the wasps scatter across the area, Reta frowns. Why did Mogmurch summon biting insects? As Reta feels their biting sting, she wails in pain and curses loudly. "Stupid-head Mogmurch! Why Mogmurch summon bees? "

Not sure if drinking fire belching potion would kill wasps? That would be first line of defense, if availalb.e

'Fort Save': 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
'Fort Save 2': 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
'Fort Save 3': 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

Reta growls at the sight of the horse. Vile, nasty evil - yet tasty! - thing it is. Running around towards the other side of the entry, Reta pulls out her big (but actually short) bow and fires an arrow at the soon-to-be-meal.

'Shortbow Attack': 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
If hits, 'Shortbow Damage': 1d4 ⇒ 3

Reta concurs with Mogmurch, pointing out both the sight and sound. "Look, more bads for Reta and Reta lackeys to kill. And lick." She adds the last bit as an afterthought for Chuffy.

'Perception Check': 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19
'Local Check': 1d20 ⇒ 8

(Fixing rolls. Forgot an '/')

Fine, Mogmurch can take crossbow. Reta just steal it when he asleep. ;)

Reta saunters over and plants a triumphant boot atop the dead spider's head. "Reta Bigbad now Reta Bigbad Hero! All do what Reta say. We go get Reta fireworks, now!"

Reta frowns. She may be goblin, but she knew better than to put her big head in small places. Plopping down on the ground, Reta offers a toothy smile as she gently, and lovinly, strokes her drink of fire belching. "Reta already hero. Reta no proofs hero more."

Reta holds her hands up in victory after riding the pig, and eagerly accepts the gourd. She almost puts it to her lips immediately - after all, belching fire would be magnificent! But, she quickly realizes it might be better to belch fire when they find the fireworks. That would make for lotsa explosions!

As the other goblins eat their worms, Reta watches with glee - and begins chanting "Eat the worms! Eat the worms! Reta big hero!"

Fort Save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10 (this was a 10; but I accidentally removed a ']' when editing the post. Adding it back now, but no idea if it will change the result.

Reta quaffs the wonderful cider, as much as she can find. And the cups she doesn't throw at Poog or Mogmurch.

Reta arrives a few minutes after the others; having missed all the good Goblin Licking Fun. She was too busy chopping the legs off caterpillars and then slicing them into their segments. As Reta enters the Moot House, her oversized eyes stare with a small hint of awe at Chief Gutwad; imagining what his words must sound like.

UE, I had a bard in my game that did just that. On a couple of the checks he actually got multiple influence points because of it too. :)

Awesome! That's much as I expected. I think the highest social skill in the group is a +11, so no multiple successes, but she'll auto-succeed if she chooses to do so.

4/5

Now, I just want to make sure; but there's nothing stopping the characters from Taking 10 on the Influence checks, is there? It seems to me that many of them (who have 10+ in a social skill, ala bluff, diplomacy, or intimidation), could just go around Taking 10 on every Influence check and succeeding. True, this wouldn't net them multiple successes on a single check, but they could still pass the mission with ease. Or did I miss something in the Scenario preventing that?

Wasu! Just stumbled across this thread and I'm blown away! A lot of great work here that I can't wait to look over and digest. Surely, this will give me a lot to think about with my future builds!

Oooh, I was rather excited to see this forum, as I was toying with this idea recently. I haven't thought it out as well as you, but I wondered if usinga Tengu or Tiefling would be of benefit? With a Tengu, you can start off with three natural attacks (bite and two claws if you sacrifice your exotic weapon training). A tielfing can start out with claw attacks and a prehensil tail, as well. Or do the stat boosts negate that?

According to the chase rules, if a character makes a full round action, they can attempt to move three squares. In order to successfully achieve this, the character must pass both obstacles in the current square.

However, if the current square has no obstacles, does that mean the character gets a free pass, more or less? Or must the character complete the first set of obstacles s/he encounter?
