"Ooh, ooh, I has better idea!" says Mogmurch as he takes the necklace off. "There be three fireballs in this necklace. Why don't Chuffy and Reta each throw one of the smaller balls? That wayz, we all hits him with fire!"
Essentially, I keep and throw the 5d6 sphere and Reta and Chuffy each throw the 2d6 spheres. That way, we all hit him with a ranged attack first.

Pa spends some time healing himself with a wand while you make plans after a few minutes Pa stands up and set the tip of his spear on fire and gets ready for a fight
When the sphere drops all heck breaks loose.
Chuffy is the first the belch fire all over Pa Fire damage: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 4) = 10 Reflex save Pa: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11 but even though the big orge doesn't dodge out of the way of the flames it seems as none of the fire is actually touching his skin.
In return the Ogre walks over to Chuffy and tries to stick him with his spear To hit: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13 but fails to connect.

I've put you on the map where it would have made sense for you to start(e.a. Reta within a 5ft step of the range of the gourds 15ft cone, same for Chuffy and Mogmurch and Poog further away due to the longer range of the fireballs. If you feel you should be somewhere else, please feel free to adjust
UE: Reta Bigbad |
Reta waits for her companions to throw their first volley of fire, and then rushes forward to join in the melee. After all, if Chuffy's flames did not hurt Pa, how would her flames be any different?
Moving in to help set up a flank for Chuffy, Reta swings her new, big ogre mace at Pa.
Reta won't be of any help with what she has unless she engages Pa in melee, since he appears to have some kind of fire resistance. So, she has to charge in! Even if he gets an AoO.
'Mwk Mace Attack': 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22 (+2 if considered flanking from current spot)

Pa get's hit pretty good by the fireball, some of the flames start to burn his skin even though most of it is stopped before it can reach him. He takes a bit of a nose bleed from the burst of sounds..but it doesn't slow him down.
Reta then rushes forward and get's smacked on the head by the Ogre before hitting him in the knee with a masterwork morning star wielded two handed (You are not using dex to hit with it, you have to use strength so no Weapon Finesse ..so only a +5 to hit)
In return Pa stabs his spear once at Chuffy and once at Reta

Big mean ogre stab Reta?! Reta not like being stabbed. Reta prefer to do stabbing and slicing and hitting. With a small feral growl, Reta steps to the side, and prepares to strike once Chuffy moves into flanking position. "Reta smash big ugly ogre. Reta use big ugly ogre head as a bowl when Reta big hero!"
Readying to attack when Chuffy is in flanking position.

Well, is there any way to get some healing on Reta? If not, she'll probably be joining Chuffy next round.
Reta stands toe-to-toe with the ogre, badly beaten and bleeding. However, she realizes she has nowhere left to turn, other than continuing the fight against Pa.

Chuffy throws a bottle at the mean ogre hitting him in the shoulder..the resulting splash of acid rains down on Chuffy's corpse maiming it even more

Ha! I was going to say 'nice try' Poog; but, great job, Poog! Sound Burst paid off!

Mogmurch manages to get a real good hit in on the ogre it knocks it's skull helmet right from it's head..Reta is unable to do anything other then bounce her "mace" of the ogre's though armor ..but Poog manages to bring the ogre down with another burst of sound...You are unsure what was louder..the burst of the sound or the impact the ogre made when he laned face first onto the ground. As he falls the fire at the end of the spear goes out.
The ogre has a wand, a gourd and his flaming spear

The door into the house is stuck..but with some combined effort you manage to get it to open DC 16 strength check - I'll just assume Reta takes 20 on it since you're not in a hurry
The floor of this filthy chamber is made of rough floorboards.
Numerous gaps between them show a dark space below the building. A large pile of furs and straw is heaped to the south, and a huge trap door sits in the very center of the room. To the west, a single ill-fitting door hangs askew on a single hinge.
To the west:
A huge, bloodstained table sits in the center of this filthy kitchen, and to the south lies a heap of furs arranged in the rough approximation of a mattress. The place reeks of rotten meat from numerous poorly executed taxidermy projects that lie scattered around the room, including partially stuffed pigs, birds, bobcats, and even a goblin body with a mass of bloody straw and sticks protruding from its neck instead of a head.
The stuffed goblin corpse; the headless goblin body is, in fact, the remains of Chief Gnawsparrow. His body still wears what turns out to be;
+1 shadow studded leather armor.
If you go up to the second floor;
The dominant feature of this room is a large bed—really nothing more than a nest made of old mattresses, loose straw, and mud.
The fleas swarming on the “bed” are obvious from several feet away. A large hole in the western wall opens out onto the lower roof of the house, and a single trap door sits in the ceiling above.
Among the clutter in the bed are scattered 275 gp, six gourds of fire burping, a cage containing a dead wolverine (the wolverine still wears an amulet of natural armor +1 around its neck), a sack of straw with a gold needle lost in it (the needle is worth 100 gp), and a large, badly made, taxidermic dire corby.
You gather all, go outside and while you try to light the house on fire starting with the straw that's underneath it you find 6 very large eggs.
Slowly the house starts to burn and you watch it go up in flames with glee.
So you want to do anything else here? (or move back to your new tribe?)
Revvy Bitterleaf |
After having a nice lunch with a lot of bacon you pack up all that you carry and head back to your new tribe.
When you arrive the tribes goblins cheer. The Birdcrunchers already viewed you as heroes for your performance in the dares, but returning from the Munchmeat farm victorious secures your role in Birdcruncher history as the greatest goblins of all time—especially if you return with enough gourds of fire burping to share with the tribe!
