(Abandoned Game/Character)

Aww. Dang. I really appreciate you giving it a go.

For what it's worth I am having a great time. I have really enjoyed jumping on and playing. It's been a great learning experience.

I understand your frustrations. Personally, I think the player conflict, would sort itself out. I was never too worried about it, but you have the total right to call it.

Just know that I have really enjoyed your GMing, the module has been great, Starfinder has worked out so far, your maps have been totally fine, and my fellow players have been fun to play with.

You also got me very curious about this Adventure Path. I might have to run it. Or just run my own Starfinder game. How to convince my players at home... (really its more, how do I convince my wife who is not a fan of Starfinder)

Thanks again. Cheers and happy gaming, everyone!

(Abandoned Game/Character)

Shocked by the sound of Tekumsah. {What in the Abyss! I am not enjoying that thing being here. Knowing it did something [unspeakable|unthinkable|unsharable] with Tekumsah is no good.}

Looking around on the second floor. {I don't think there is anything for us on this floor. Up we go?}

I am adding the ring for now. If anyone has issue with me taking it let me know. We can roll on it if we prefer. I don't want to be a loot ninja

(Abandoned Game/Character)

Listening to Trellick's story about the journal. {Wow, interesting. I say we try to avoid that thing, at least as long as possible.}

Looking at the items on the table, {The ring has some magic connected to it. It helps shore up your weakest defense. Would act differently for each of us. I don't want to claim it.. but I do want to put in my name into the lot for getting it}

It gives a +1 to your weakest Save. I also assume i know how it works, but if you need me to roll to make sure I know what it is, let me know

{Well, I don't think that thing will come back here.. But maybe we should head back up the elevator. Get onto that other level. Not sure I want to try to climb into that crack the monster took..}

(Abandoned Game/Character)

Culture: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10

Looking at the Journal. {This languages illudes me. Very interesting how it interacts with my senses. If you can't read it, Trellik I would love to keep it. Maybe spending more time with it will help}

Looking at the items on the table, {Hmm interesting. That ring looks interesting to me. Also, I don't quite have the power to do Lesser Restoration. Maybe I will eventually. What do you all think?}

(Abandoned Game/Character)

Looking over to Trellik, {Does this mean we are in a ship? Couldn't we be on a planet or something. This damage.. could be anything, right?}

Moving to the table with Twitch, ignoring most of the items on the table, but very curious about the book as well. {Hmm, what could this be. Notes about the beast? Maybe clues as to where we are..}What roll would we need to read/translate this book?

(Abandoned Game/Character)

Well there are not shields, but there are shields..

Star Trek > Lord of the Rings

As we do this more we will hopefully figure out how to spread the wealth.

(Abandoned Game/Character)

Looking over at the Baghra {Forgive our large [friend|hivemate|ally]. I think he comes from a place of stern control. Just don't accidentally shoot him}

To the group {I agree with Trellik, weird organic bone creatures, I think are safe to maul. I don't think they wish us any good. Other creatures, let us take a pause first. Don't want to waste your fists on a potential ally}

Looking down at the sword, {These sharp weapons. Very archaic. I have no strong need for it. Anyone wish to use this?}

Like we said in discussion, I am ok with Gorn going first, and the rest of us following behind. With Trellik looking for traps/stealthing in occasionally when needed. I will stay behind, but not too far behind.

(Abandoned Game/Character)

I am ok with that arangment. Gorn can lead. I don't mind either being in the very back or near the back of a group. I am going to be mostly ranged anyway. But I won't mind taking a hit if needed.

(Abandoned Game/Character)

Ah, makes sense. Learning! Out of curiosity you mention me, but I got an 18. Was it an example, or did I fail?

(Abandoned Game/Character)

Athletics: 1d20 ⇒ 18

(Abandoned Game/Character)

Andretta:
{Ah, it is a bit of a relief to be able to communicate in this way again. I will do my best, my [voice|chitter] has been called grating by most who have heard it. I appreciate the heads up though, I will keep my mind-speech to my [hive|group|friends]. I was never very good at talking to others anyway}

Looking down the hole. {I am a bit nervous about this. I am not known for my upper body strength. Why doesn't someone else go first.}

(Abandoned Game/Character)

Seemly in shock while being told the potential background of the beast. {Well, we should keep going then. I am all for adventure and travel, but usually under my own power and not being abducted.}

He picks up one of the tactical dueling swords. {I guess this is better than my Baton. Might as well have it}

Turning to the human female. {How do you come by your power? Your ability to stun them was quite interesting.}

Another vote down

(Abandoned Game/Character)

Looking in the shaft, {I guess the question is, are we underground or above. This place is sure falling apart}

Looking over at the group, {I am not sure why, but the trap door below worries me. What if there was someone inside. My vote is down, for now. Plus those [muscles|ropes] disturb me.}

(Abandoned Game/Character)

Giving the Baghra some birth. Now that he is ok, Tuk'yik is somewhat ignoring him. His job done.

Looking at the strange bone creatures, {I have no idea. I have not seen them before. Very aggressive. Where they in the pods too?}

What roll would allow me to look over their bodies and look for any of the goo. To see if they are fresh out of the pods as well?

Looking toward Gorn with the various weapons, {No thank you, I have my small arm, but I tend to just use what is around me with my mind. Seems easier than having to deal with ammo. Hopefully they are useful to someone, though. We might want to bring one of the creepy bone ones, just to give to a [collector|researcher]... If we can ever find one}

Yeah my heading only heals hitpoints, but other classes (Envoy comes to mind) heals Stamina. I think the idea that the body is not actually damaged until it gets to HP. Boosting someone's Stamina is more of an moral boost than physical healing. I am ok with that, though. It allows me to do other things till someone is actually hurt.

I would also love another summary of what doors/rooms we have looked into.

(Abandoned Game/Character)

Did my 18 life science before reveal anything else about the beast going into the crack?

Looking over at Twitch while the Baghra recovers {Well, I am not sure. I am pretty sure Desna gives me a portion of her divine power, but sometimes it feels like she just gives me a tool, but I have to use my own power to use it. However it is, it is useful. Let me know if you are ever injured! I am here to help}

Looking over at the Baghra and giving it some space. Trying to look non-aggressive.

(Abandoned Game/Character)

Looking into the room where the creature did its damage. Seeing the wounded Baghra. {There is one still alive! I must act quick!}

I run into the room next to the living creature, reaching deep into his connection with Desna. Burning a little of his inner energy, pushing some light into the Baghra!

Healing Channel: 2d8 ⇒ (6, 6) = 12 1 resolve point used

(Abandoned Game/Character)

Quick question: Are we doing XP? Or will you just tell us when to level?

(Abandoned Game/Character)

Watching the tentacled beast disappear into the hole. Looking over at Twitch. {What was that? This room looks pretty horrible.}/

Life Science: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18

Tuk'yik would like to look around for anyone/thing that is not fully dead. Something he could heal.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Narrator Prime wrote:
Y works well actually.

Yeah I figure tuk'Yik and mYstic. That should help a bit.

(Abandoned Game/Character)

I would not mind a Y as mine. Either that or the M for mystic.

(Abandoned Game/Character)

Its not so bad. I think my only complaint would be all the T names, haha.

(Abandoned Game/Character)

My location looks right!

Looking back and forth between the last remaining creature and the location Teksumah and the Baghra went. {That did not sound good!}

With a silent prayer to help maintain his freedom to adventure one last thrust of his fist toward the remaining creature in front of him.

Telekinetic Projectile: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 5

Not really looking to see if it connected Tuk'yik turns and runs toward the sound of the yelp of pain. I would like to go as far toward them as I can.

(Abandoned Game/Character)

Ah, I reread the posts and assumed you had been hit. Wasn’t 100% clear. Probably my own failed reading comprehension. Armor for the win.

(Abandoned Game/Character)

Watching Gorn and Trellik destroy these creatures in the room.

Realizing there are more on the outside. {Gorn! Are you doing ok? You look injured! These things are [brutal|mean]! What did we do to them?}

Moving out of the room. 4 to the left, up against the elevator.

Another quick thrust of the fist, another small sphere flies toward K4.
Telekinetic Projectile: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 2

Hey Gorn, could you update your Stam and HP? I don't want to meta game too much, but that is going to be the only way I know how damaged you are for potential healing.

(Abandoned Game/Character)

I looked up Nonlethal in game. It looks like it is a special property of some weapons. This includes unarmed strikes, stun guns, some grenades, etc.

So I am not sure if there is a way to do choose to do non-lethal without one of those specific types of weapons.

I know its GM discretion, of course, but I would assume its not possible, since its so specifically laid out as a weapon type.

(Abandoned Game/Character)

Is there a roll to determine if they are in fact something that could be talked to and interrogated? Tuk would try to see if it was worth it

(Abandoned Game/Character)

A look of disgust washes over Tuk'yik at the cartalige tube connecting the weapon to the creature.

A quick response to Gorn, {I can try again, but the look of those [fleshy|bone] things, I don't know how much use it will be. They seem attached to them!}

With a glance to his new alies next to him, Tuk'yik sends a wishful thought toward Desna and with a thrust of his hand a small ball barring from a bag in his waste flys forward into the creature Gorn is fighting.

[ooc]Using Communalism. Take the better of the two rolls.
Telekinetic Projectile: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18
Telekinetic Projectile: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 4

He then steps into the room, showing strange bravery|stupidity. Right 2.

(Abandoned Game/Character)

I would prefer you roll on the forum, but if you wanted to roll behind the scenes that is ok with me too. Will leave it up to you.

(Abandoned Game/Character)

It works for me (but the other one did too)

(Abandoned Game/Character)

Roll20 is pretty great. It allows us to move characters if done right. There are plenty of tutorial pages and videos online on how to handle it. Plus its free, which is nice.

I am not sure how it will work out from an iPad, but with the browser in the iPad, it should be fine, if not a bit tricky. Any solution will be a bit tricky though.

(Abandoned Game/Character)

Jumping in because I think I didn't fully flesh out my last post with my action

Directed to all friendies within 30 feet {I am sure they killed those others in the pile. Better protect ourselves!}

Looking directly at the creature who has been attacked least by the time I go.

{Drop it!}

Cast Command. DC Will save DC 15

(Abandoned Game/Character)

Looking into this room with these strangers. {Woah, what is happening?}

Seeing Gorn charge in, {Oh Desna!}

He wants to look at these creatures and figure out how aggressive they actually are to us, before Gorn causes a huge fight.

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24

Init: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10

(Abandoned Game/Character)

Looking to the new humans {Oh yes, sorry for the [rudeness|forgetfulness]. I am Tuk'yik. Greetings!}

Culture: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
Life Science: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13

(Abandoned Game/Character)

Suddenly coming up to two humans. Speaking everyone including humans {[Oh|surprise], hello! I don't believe we mean any harm. Did you find yourself in weird goo pods? If you did, we are in the same [boat|ship]}

Looking at the woman, {There is some human woman shaped [clothes|armor] back there} Gesturing back to the room with the items

(Abandoned Game/Character)

With the group having some agreement, Tuk'yik follows close behind the two Yoski. While listening as closly to the language of the Dog Men. Following Trellik's lead and attempting to stay a bit quiet:

Stealth: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10

I am paying attention to their language in the hope to learn it on next level with a point in Culture

(Abandoned Game/Character)

Ah, a human to join our little band of misfits. Also someone who's name doesnt start with 'T'

Welcome aboard.. I hope...

(Abandoned Game/Character)

Well sad to see someone go, but I am curious about the new player!

(Abandoned Game/Character)

Looking very pleased to have helped these creatures.

Looking over at Twitch, {I was born in Maro on Akiton. But I shortly after reaching [adulthood|past larval form] I traveled around the planet. I am terrible with names, but I did run into many Caravans on my journeys. Did you travel with them?}

{Well, my vote is to check in the hallway we heard that gunshot. Someone could be hurt in there. Now that we have our own protection. What do you 3 think? I would ask our friends, but I don't think I can}

(Abandoned Game/Character)

Stepping forward to the Baghra, trying to get a sense of their demeanor and helping Trellik via speaking tips to his mind.

Culture: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21

To help get a clue if they are getting too frustrated, and when to back off if its going south fast.

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10

(Abandoned Game/Character)

That makes sense. If we lose people to inactivity this early its not a good sign. I would rather get a solid group and keep it going for a long as possible.

Do what you need to do to keep it alive.

(Abandoned Game/Character)
Trellik wrote:

With that, Trellik tries to pantomine exactly that to the Bagrha. He points to himself, he grovels at Tekumsahs feet. He then points to a weapon, pantomines offering it to Bagrha, then turns, pretends to accept weapon, again grovels at Tekumsah's feet

No clue what roll for that :-). Culture? Diplomacy?

Tuk'yik would like to assist with this.

(Abandoned Game/Character)

Looking over at twitch, {Often! After moving around Akiton for so long, helping various towns after disasters or raids, I finally gathered enough money to charter this flight..[pause of sadness].. I mean the Desna's song. What I would give to see the red sands right now. How long have you been off planet?}

Looking at the Baghra's stuff, {I think it would be a good sign of faith to return their weapons, while not showing them any threatening postures. I am sure they are scared and would be grateful for the help. They seem a little more [simple|not advanced|technologically behind us]. It's not like we can use these} Tuk'yik grabs the scimitars. {Unless anyone has any major objections. I would like to return these to their proper owners. [Twitch|Trellik|Tek] Any objections?}

I have no issues you taking the 2 MK1 Healing Serums. I feel like Tuk'yik wasn't really looking for them at all, cant speak for the others though.

(Abandoned Game/Character)

I have no plans on slowing my communication. Just hoping the same for everyone else. I sure don't want this to die.

I think I have this issue with playing at the table, I sometimes forget about other characters. Not in terms of who needs what buff, but more in a social encounter type way. I will make sure to put some effort into it here. It is much easier when you have time to think and actually converse more in character.

(Abandoned Game/Character)

Looking over at Twitch {You know, I don't think I have. I tend to come in and [help|clean up|provide aid] after the emergency is over. Looks like y'all have a bit more experience. I am trying to just take it as Desna's way of providing me with an adventure}

perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14 To look for anything that could be owned by the dog/gnoll people. Tuk'yik feels it's important to return their items.

(Abandoned Game/Character)

So I have been playing around with other ways for my sharrin to sound unique. Does my use of multiple words while speaking telepathically look ok to everyone? I will avoid using it too often, but instances where multiple complicated thoughts can be joined together I thought it would work. Kinda like those crazy German words that mean whole concepts.

I can back down from it it's a bit too much.

(Abandoned Game/Character)

Finding his protective layer, Tuk'yik hastily puts on his second skin. Visibly relaxing after its secure on his torso/thorax. Only then grabbing his weapon and other items.

{Well, that is a [relief|happy|worry over]. I wonder if there is anything else in here. Are those strange Gnoll people's stuff in here too. Should we return it to them? They sure looked scared}

Looking around at the others going through their stuff, {I am a bit [worried|troubled|curious] about the sounds of struggle coming from the other doors. I wonder if there are more people like us stuck in there?}

No worries GM. Have a great time, and avoid the wife-evil-eye. Excited to continue when you get back

(Abandoned Game/Character)

Taking a look at the numbers that appear on the display. Do I recognize the language, or the culture that would have those digits?

Culture: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
I just read your last post. I know this was not an option, but I had already typed it

Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27
Medicine: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
Life Science: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
Am I doing this right? Don't want to over roll or something.

Narrator Prime wrote:
Given how easily I could put those maps together, combat will be map based too.

Awesome. Thanks again for doing this, and or being so active. My other game is quite a bit slower. Which isn't really a big deal.. Just excited to see how we progress.

(Abandoned Game/Character)

Really curious how combat is going to work out. I am so used to very tactical combat. I am all for theatre of the mind combat too. Very curious

I also wonder how my Fleet feat will work out with theatre of the mind. Will have to remind myself I am faster.

Thanks for the images. Will help when we have too many options!

(Abandoned Game/Character)

Putting Tek ahead of himself, {Shall we head to the right then?}

I say we head to 5 first.. Maybe make our way down to #1, what say everyone?
